Review of Sotetsu Fresa Inn Hamamatsucho-Daimon 3*

Checking in and out was very easy to do as the staff that was helping me knew English. The nearest train station is Daimon, which is roughly a short 5min walk. Other nearby stations are available such as Shimbashi and Hamamatsuchō (8min walk) this gave us many options to explore Japan. There many shops /restaurants near the train station so food is not a problem. In addition there are Natural Lawson, Family Mart and 711 nearby to grab a quick bite as well. The room itself was quite small which was expected as this is Tokyo, but had everything we needed (shampoo, soap, towels, hairdryer, pajamas, and a kettle). House keeping was very friendly and attentive and would restock supplies. Unfortunately they did not replace our duvet cover as it had a few stains on it that may or may not have been permanent from previous use. This was not too much of an issue for me as the sheets underneath were clean and seemed to be replaced regularly. There is also an option to request for an "eco-cleaning" where you can opt out of a full cleaning and only tidy up/change the sheets and the hotel will give you a bottle of water. The room is fully Air Conditioned and has a small fridge that fits regular size bottles and cutout to fit those larger litre water bottles. As it was a small room it was hard to have lugagge out and manuver but there are 2 hangers for backpacks. The bathroom was larger than the typical tiny apartment types you may see. We requested a room with a tub which was nice. If you have left on a long day and returned, I often found the smell of sewage in the bathroom, this may be due to the fan evaporating the water in the P-trap which normally should block out those smells, but the fans are required to legally always be on. I figured out that plugging up the sink and tub with the stopper resolved this. Extra supplies are offered at the lobby such as bath sponges and face cleaners. You can also pay for their breakfast or have free coffee. Overall a good stay and would return.
