There are actually 2 properties that are a block away from each other, belonging to the same management apparently: Beach Resort Morimar, and Beach Condominium Morimar Resort. If that's not confusing enough, various booking sites are showing the same street address! The Beach Resort Morimar, while is nicer and better maintained, is located right next to an cremation site. Yea. The Condominium, is less than 2 blocks south of the Resort and thus further away from the cremation site. However, there is only an one way street. So any funeral possession would always go thru both properties. This property is in dire need of updates, by the way. The beach view is stunning but there is no facility, no lifeguard, and very rocky. Snorkel fins are strongly recommended. The area in general is rural (ok) but down (not ok). So there is no surprise that both properties are very competitively priced. What surprises me is that most online maps would not show the cremation site. I read about it only thru some obscure China travel review sites. After hours of digging, I finally confirmed such by "walking" virtually using 3D Google Map, and saw the tiny Japanese sign that shows that cremation business's name. If you don't mind seeing funeral possessions and cremation right behind your hotel room, then the low price is irresistible. To me, vacation has no place to see such. Deduct 2 stars for that, — 1 star for the beach, another — 1 for the depressing surroundings.
