We stayed unfortunately only 3 nights at the Hotel Chiostro but we will definitely come back. The hotel, the complex and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Food was top and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our barman of Stefano loved us very much, he is very conscientious in his work and is very careful that his guests are well. Breakfast is very rich and something for everyone. Thank you for the great, unfortunately too short time with you.

Hotel a 20-15 minute walk from the harbour with a beautiful garden and also a beautiful cloister of an ancient monastery with wicker tables where you can relax. Very large garden rooms with nice lounge and terrace but decidedly cramped bathrooms. Rooms above the smaller cloister. Comfortable and wide beds. Good breakfast and dinner.

Staff very friendly, the rooms clean, the bathroom of us, was somewhat small but functional.
Breakfast buffet is good and varied, and in the evening there is optional a 3 course menu.

Great solution to visit the greater lake. The central location, in less than 10 minutes walk you will get to the boarding of the ferries with which you can reach the best places of the lake itself. The staff staff were very friendly and serviced to the restaurant. Very quiet, suitable for those who want to spend an extremely relaxing and thoughtless holiday. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Just a small Po bathroom but all very functional. To be a 3 star is great… maybe in some respects it deserves an extra star. Very impressive lobby décor… in summary. I would highly recommend it for those who want to spend a comfortable and relaxing holiday by the lake side.

It's ok. Seems like an hotel for old people.

Attention. On Saturdays there is the market. Not accessible during the day from the Lake. Come from the top. There is a place because in front of hotel but drop off the guests. Parking of the hotel further. 10 minutes walk from the parking lot to the hotel.

There is a parking at 3-4 min walking from the hotel. The hotel is more for old people. The place is clean. The people welcoming you are quite slow motion, and not very helpful. Be careful : check out at 10:00! We have not tried the breakfast!

The lake and the market are easily reachable on foot. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The Breakfast is for Italian standards generous. The room prices are OK.

Enchanting place for a stay in the locality Intra-Verbania. Good reception. Availability of rooms, restaurant, bar, lounge, chapel. Also two beautiful relaxing gardens. Conference Room. Located in the central area, close to postal services, shops and not far from the lake. Includes a pensioner for self-sufficient elderly people.

Business lunch, good food, good service, clean and friendly local. Recommended.

A great hotel on Lake Maggiore.

An amazing place for a quiet stay. They have a bar and a great restaurant. High level of service while the prices are cheap. It's my third time here and I m planning to come back soon.

I read the reviews, they seemed good, after having been there one night I do mine.
They assigned me a room on the first floor, which to find it looked like a scavenger hunt. Room found, very humid (moisture spots visible on the wall) and with uncomfortable beds. I asked for Cambiarmela, they told me they are full (they didn't even try to Sostituirmela). I found out then that the double bed was actually two united, and the TV was not working properly (sometimes the video disappeared then reappeared). I mean they gave me the worst room… the rest of the hotel was not bad, cared for and Nice…

We enjoyed our stay in Il Chiostro. Kind approach of the personell, nice spacy room with good beds and airco and little balkony with a view over the inner garden of the hotel (a small bathroom although). The hotel is partly a former monastry with an arcade and a very nice garden. This hotel is an oasis in the city of Intra Verbania. And within a 10 minutes walk you are at the lake side. Good place to start excursions, for example to de Borromeo islands. Diner was not very special, but still good /OK.
