This was a very surprisingly pleasant find. I stayed on business for 2 nights and wasn't sure what to expect. There must have been something going on in Milan as all the hotels at the time were very expensive, and I would normally stay in a more central hotel which I always find disappointing (price-benefit) in Milan. First of all, this is not a hotel — — it's an apartment. My studio was large, with separate kitchen, bathroom and a hallway area. The kitchen was functional, though didn't have a microwave. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the balconies and fully opening doors. The entire apartment is very clean and pleasant, and looks to have been built with care. So many much more expensive places in Milan look like they were built by a cowboy. The attention to the general presentation is very good. It does have a maid service — — towels were replaced and the bed was made each day, and the usual toiletries you get in a hotel are there. However, you don't get any food, and although there's a kettle, there's no milk, tea, coffee; and no dishwasher tablets (thought there is a dishwasher). Food is supplied only from a vending machine. There's a Esselunda supermarket about 10 minutes walk (to the west). In particular, the free Wi-Fi in the rooms was good quality — — good enough to stream video, which is a rarity in hotels. Depending on what you want, the location is good or bad. It's a good walk to the Duomo, but still walkable. The area is not beautiful, but not nasty. In fairness, most of Milan looks suburban outside of the very center anyway. The biggest issue is that checkin closes at 8pm and checkout doesn't open until 8am. Note that the entire place is designed on a Buddhist theme. It's not rammed down your throat, but it seems like it might have been set up by a religious community. Personally, I liked that uniqueness, but if you need a non-secular place to stay, this could annoy you. I will stay again, but next time I will drop into Esselunga on the way and pick up some basic provisions.
