Lovely hotel location beautiful… personally, my husband and I want to mention an employee that went above her call of duty. Mariasole in yacht club bar. We were talking with her about our visit and where we were going next. She arranged to pay for two glasses of wine at our next stay. She is an excellent example of the kindness of the Italian people we have found everywhere we have gone. We will be back for another visit.

This magnificent Excelsior Palace Hotel is by far the BEST hotel I have visited out of 50 countries and trust me I have stayed in some amazingly luxurious hotels on my travels — this hotel is a PALACE in every sense of the word — excellent service, excellent view and Daniello at the front desk is EXCELLENT! The breakfast is tremendously delicious and marvelous service by super star Lily ❤️⚡️

Lovely place, stunning view, I loved the fact it has its own beach club accessible without exiting the hotel. Great cocktails and good food, yet rather bad service in general.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views. Service top notch. Booked standard room. Included free breakfast, which was very good. Club lounge available to all guest, serving free little bites, beer, and wine all day. Lounge adds cocktails in the evening for free as well. Not too bad of a walk from port, take the 1 euro elevator to the hotel (start walking west towards the hotel and you'll find it close to the water). While expensive the service at the hotel was on point.

Best hotel in Rapallo. I was in a Junior suite room with terrace and excellent view. It was really great experience. Dinner at hotel also awesome. Great manner of staffs. All the dishes were great and much better than what I expect for.

Unique Location (wonderful panorama). Very high restaurant prices (Lord Byron) (But it is a 5 star). High quality but exactly how high it would be among the best restaurants on the coast (spending however exactly half).

Nice, friendly, personal service. Nice rooms, comfortable beds and a spectacular view among the bay. Really good restaurant with local food and good wine menu. I had the pleasure to get served by Daniele and he managed to get me a perfect evening. Thank you!

Beautiful Hotel. Strategic position offering views: on Rapallo on one side and on the Ligurian Sea from the other. Particularly Sugestivo at dawn. Great kitchen — very good pie maker.

By mistake there was only one star! Great place, breathtaking view, really not to be missed, but compared to the management of the past times, when I had stayed there, having been to an evening conference I saw on arrival the gardens too dark, and the room staff plentiful but a little too Young. The entrance is always spectacular, two beautiful halls with chandeliers, mirrors and curtains that look like Versailles so they are rich and tasteful, the place of the breakfast then is unforgettable, overlooking the sea and is very romantic, the suites I have not had opportunity to revisit them, at the time were remarkable…

Very nice hotel. Very nice services. Very friendly and helpful staff. I loved it… except that the soundproofing between the rooms is non-existent. And as our room neighbors spoke. Yes just spoke normally we slept very badly, having the impression that they were in the same room as us so we could hear them well. Really bad for this beautiful hotel a 2 steps from the center of Rapallo.

Wonderful location, impeccable service, cozy rooms with a touch of retro charm, excellent restaurant Byron, suggestive bar… atmosphere of other times. Also pleasant in winter with the heated swimming pool and the spa.

We spend a night at this beautiful palace at the 7th floor we amazing view over the Rapallo's bay. We paid such a ridiculous price for the quality of the place and all the services. Internal pool and workout room are free access. The breakfast is perfect we are vegetarian and we have eaten perfectly. The only downside is you have to pay for the car park, they will charge you 16 Euros for 24h. Hours.

I was in the facility for a conference. The first impression is of majesty. An immense reception hall with piano, harps, paintings and antiques, sofas and armchairs and staff in livery. Beautiful conference room with an enviable sea view and truly 5 star luxury service.

Place of rare refinement. Staff certainly suitable for the environment courtesy of competence and availability.
Highly recommendable for every evaned from weekend of escaping to the sea at social gatherings.

Very nice Hotel the SPA is very pleasant the gym is less. The breakfast is not up to the height of this place very well located just above the harbor.

Beautiful hotel, one of those almost centenary and timeless palaces of the Riviera whose history alone is worth a visit. Service Five star discreet and attentive, nothing to complain about the reception at the restaurant passing by housekeepers and room service. Only customer regret too spoiled, the view from our room, though overlooking the bay was not exactly the one dreamed. But booking in the month of August and at the last minute obliges… Restaurant at the height of the hotel, breakfast on the terrace with a magnificent buffet and finally a wellness centre with direct access to the sea (reminiscent of the Cape Eden Roc).

Nice view from the window. Clean and comfortable.
Of the Cons: surprised by the lack of slippers and a limited set of cosmetics, only shampoo, gel and soap. There's nothing else at all. There is no drinking water either. For this price, one could improve this penny service.
In the adjoining room guests with a dog. Of course, she wants to eat, regardless of whether or not you want to sleep in the next room or not.

What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful coastal town! The room was very nice and the balcony provided the perfect spot to enjoy stunning sunrises. Sitting in the pool overlooking the sea was breathtaking. Staff was very nice. Easy walk to Rapallo or over to Santa Margherita Ligure. If we are fortunate enough to visit this region of Italy again, we well stay in Rapallo at the Excelsior!

The hotel was booked last minute for the first night of our honeymoon. We could not have been treated any better. The staff were absolutely wonderful, and helped us to celebrate our recent wedding in real style. Spending the afternoon on the sun terraces overlooking the sea punctuated by a swim out to the bathing platforms was our high point. We cannot recommend it highly enough. A real treat. Thank you to the wonderful staff for looking after us so well.

A little expensive, but absolutely unreproachable. The 3 swimming pools (2 outside and one interior) with an exceptional view of the Mediterranean, the spacious rooms, the comfortable beds, the impeccable service!

The place fulfilled my expectations — place is as the name says Feels like in palace. The atmosphere is very nice with all the paints and exhibited items. Also a nice touch to have a Wi-Fi everywhere and 3 plugs next to the bed to change all your devices is a big plus. Nice big rooms. And minibar selection is one of the best I saw so far.

Great stay! Spent two nights. Traveled to Vernazza and Monterosso by train which was confusing but easy enough to do (with some coaching from the staff) from the Excelsior Palace. The town is fun to walk and there are plenty of restaurants. The staff, as I said, has been helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and has great views!

Only imperfection at the SPA the massage tables are small. My feet exceeded it, it was not pleasant. For the rest, service, hotel, restaurant everything was on top!

Beautiful place in an excellent Location but rooms should be renewed in some way. Don't get me wrong nothing to say but they have Charme of 2-30 years ago.

A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and a gorgeous pool area overlooking the waterfront. The hotel has a spa, a limited gym, and Wi-Fi on premises. This is a great value and a wonderful place to stay making it convenient to visit local cities like Portofino and Santa Margharita Ligure.

This hotel was clean. Room about the size of a standard Holiday Inn. Balcony (2 chairs and table) with a great view. 17 euro charge per day for Wi-Fi which only worked well in the room (not by the pool, not in the hotel dining terrace. Carpet in our room very well worn, bed old, pillows hard, good bathroom w bidet. Flat screen tv, not HD. Pedestrian access to hotel. Terrible. Up a hill and only one entrance after 6 pm. 15 min walk to the train station or 15 euros by taxi. Restaurant average food, expensive. Traffic noise all the time. No response from management after I personally complained about the quality of the hotel. Definitely undeserving of 5 star rating.
