Review of A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel 4*

Lousy service. Nobody answers the phone when you need help. There was always something missing in the bathroom, which wasn't filled up when cleaning. We booked a shuttle from the hotel to Rome directly, but the incompetent and unfriendly woman at the reception cannot give you any precise information about the return journey. The bus driver explained to us and recommended to contact the reception immediately. But nobody was available, neither by email nor on the phone. 5 hours later we were called back with the statement that no return trip is possible because everything is booked out, and we should see how we get to the hotel. Luckily we met our shuttle driver again in the evening and he said that he will of course take us because the bus is almost empty. 7 hours later I got an answer to my email that no shuttle was available. Thanks to the human bus driver, we were already in the hotel by then. Furthermore, there was no information for the hotel guests regarding restaurants or the bars (most of which were closed in the high season). When paying for the stay some tourism taxes were charged, which were actually already included in the price, and the ineptitude of the staff at the reception did not let any discussion through. I only recommend the hotel for the reason that the rooms were of a good size and clean, breakfast was also ok and we had a good time there on our own. But otherwise everything overpriced and very arrogant. But you shouldn't expect to be accommodating in this hotel. I do not recommend it as a luxury hotel but very nice and not far from Rome.
