Had great stay on new year eve. Resort is pleasant and staff is very friendly, Beach side and very peaceful. Beach is clean and not much crowded.

Golden Swan can be rated as the best hotel in Murud considering its location. Food was but on the costlier side and strictly ok in taste. It’s so close to the beach that during high tides water lashes on the compound wall of this property. Staff was good and helpful. Overall it was a nice experience and I ll definitely stay there if I happen to go to Murud again.

Nice resort, just to relax on the almost private beach. Rooms are well maintained, the first facing rooms have bunker beds, kids will enjoy the best. Rear facing rooms are just simple rooms. There is no pool, but one restaurant with buffet style. Not much amenities other than just relaxing. Beach access is the best part, you can simple walk into.

Very Nice and cool Resort to spent quality time with your family. Food is good, staff is supportive and helpful. Resort is located right on the beach and one can watch and enjoy waves touching resort during high tide. Swans at the resort are USP of resort. Overall wonderful place especially for children.

Relaxing weekend getaway from the city. A comfortable stay, rooms well maintained and clean and helpful staff. The layout has also been well planned with ample space in the campus, a play area for kids, common area to sit out and dine while enjoying the sea-view. Close proximity to the sea does have it's added advantage, though the beach was a disappointment. Also the delicious meals add the extra brownie points.

A beautiful place right on the sea coast. Rooms are aesthetically nice. Food is good too. However, not really worth the price tag of a four star hotel. We had some issues like broken taps and intermittent hot water. Also, they don't serve alcohol. No amenities apart from a lawn. I would give this place a miss the next time and choose something better.

Descent value for money resort with easy access to the beach. The staff is helpful and pleasant. They have simple food on the menu, it is tasty and resembles home cooked food. You can hire bicycles for a nominal fee. Scope for improvement and reason for 3 stars 1. Poor internet 2. Housekeeping of restaurant is poor with dust visible on the tables. 3. Frequent power failures In Murud this is one of the best options.

This is the place you should go to for a relaxed vacation. Too good hospitality. Very neat n clean. Swans definitely are the attraction of this place, they roam around all day. Sea is just at the back yard just like the private beach. Nice place!

One of the better resorts in the area along the coast. We went there about 10 years back and then again recently. Happy to say the place has retained its charm and service which can be said about few establishments nowadays. The cottages are lovely and the atmosphere is ideal for families with kids as cars are not allowed in the area. There is a separate parking facility. The proximity to the beach is fantastic!

Nice, neat and clean, well maintained place. Rooms are small, no mini bar or tea /coffee making facility in room. Private beach is very good. Food is OK. Staff good and courteous.

Peaceful and charming. Child-friendly beach and menu. Responsive staff, chefs and management. 2018 update: We are back again because the whole family enjoyed it so much the first time! Chose the same room with loft that kids love. Met the same warm smiles and helpful people at the desk, at meal times and general staff. Took a boat to the fort too! Even tried parasailing on the weekend. Will definitely be back again for a balance of peace and activity. Thank you!

My visit in Jan 2018 has been rewarding. (5) It has a private beach. (5) The beach waters are 100% safe. (5) The resort reception makes available water sports on its beach. (4) The staff is courteous. (5) Service is good. (5) Food spread is good. (5) It is clean and good for young and old. (5) Rooms are fairly large and well provided. (5) Beds are comfortable. (5) The villas are two units with interconnecting doors. (5) The place is well spread with lots of trees and well maintained. (5) There is a play area and cycles for children. (5) One has the option to take a walk inside the resort as well as along the beach. (5) On the whole a place to relax. Good for one who wishes to remain away from crowds.

As a hotel this would be a 3.5 star but property is very premium with a beach connection. Hotel is completely family friendly with games, cycles lined up for guests. There are some light water sports offered. One of the goodies we found after reaching is inbuilt bunk bed in most of front facing rooms. Even though its not very fancy but safe for kids above 4 years. Food was good. Chicken is awesome where as fish is average. Its little pricey but book in advance.

Didn't expect the place to be so good… The rooms are very comfortable. Staff courteous… Beach clean… Not very clean. Just clean… Water sports accessible… And most of all, great food… Would go Murud again to stay in the property…

Often stayed here during my visits to the Fort. Good place reasonably priced. Good interiors. A bit old fashioned and not so contemporary. Food is good. Good service.

Nice location… Peace of mind… Tasty food (Surmai Fry and king prawns) … Rooms are huge specifically (B4) Hospitality is good… Staff is humble… Inverter and DG backup… the cleanest property I have ever stayed in the Costal area… Kids have fun in the garden… Bird watchers must carry their Gadgets to click the seagull… 5 out of 5!

I liked the way this hotel is located so near to the sea. The backside of the hotel joins the beach through few steps. When we reached in the afternoon the water was almost touching the steps and I wondered where is the beach? But by the evening the water had receded almost 200 meters inside and we had a beautiful beach to spend our evening at. On weekends the hotel provides a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. All very good. The room size is good for couples and ok for couple with small kids. The only issue I found was adjacent rooms are just too near and seperated by a wooden door so you could easily get disturbed by TV in the other room. But other than this I found it to be comfortable for a stay of couple of days. The price is at a little higher side though. But all in all we had a good time… So recommended!

I had gone to the resort with my parents. The place is type of cool. It's a small place but many activities to do. There is a gaming room we can borrow a cycle but if you take it you won't have much place to cycle. In the beach at night the tides come and touch the steps. If you go in the evening the tides are in medium speed and you have to walk a distance to get there the thing which is not good in the beach is they throw lots of garbage in the sea. The room is having a bed with a ladder leading to the top so the kids can sleep there for the adults there is a normal king size mattress and the experience was really good so don't just stay for one night, instead you can go for 2 to 3 nights. There is a varanda we can sit and play. There is a fan if you are there in the C block there is a mosquito repellent the on with the purple light. There are 5ducks they are pretty friendly. If you go near some will chase you for 10-20 seconds. There is also a fort nearby it is on a island in the Arabian sea you get a boat to go there.

Lovely beach side property. Personally would recommend their accomodations in the annexe for a more private experience. The main property is good for families and can get a bit crowded for some quiet time.

An excellent property especially considering the costs. The rooms were very clean and nice. The food was very good. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The property itself has been maintained quite neatly. Its a very good stay option if one is looking for a relaxing beach side place. Will definitely recommend it.

Lovely place right by the beach on Murud Janjira. Nice enough cottages, beach is also somewhat secluded since the resort is slightly away from the main Janjira beach. However, the service is what sets it apart. Brilliant and friendly service throughout, coupled with very good food made the place memorable. Not much to do around here other than relax and maybe catch a few sites around town. But can't recommend this place enough.

I was there with my family for lunch. It was past 3:30 pm and their kitchen had closed but they still accomodated our request for lunch. Food was good. There was ample parking space. I was surprised to see the parking location as it overlooked the Murud beach and they had private beach which was neat, clean and not at all crowded. Would love to stay there on my next visit.

Golden Swan beach resort truly gave us good golden memories to cherish. Starting from the beautiful sea facing cottages with bunk beds as an additional feature, superb staff service, d sunset view at the sea beach, or the group of swans welcoming their guests, kids friendly play area and much more … although the konkani seafood is more popular here but then the veg food we were served was also delectable … we just loved everything and had d most rejuvenating and refreshing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Special thanks to Shubhangi Mam for paying a visit and personally connecting with each occupants and ensuring their stay was comfortable which I haven't come across earlier. Great job done and thanks for the invite.

Great stay near beach. Very helpful and cheerful staff. The best part is awesome food. Every food item was tasty. We opted for beach villa room, which is beach facing. Rooms are big and well equipped. If you are looking for weekend trip to beach, this is the best place. Though note that water is muddy.

Great weekend hangout place to relax in the peace of nature. Not crowded, secluded yet safe, courteous staff with good food. The cottages are well furnished and pamper you to relaxation. The ducks are adorable.

16-July-2016: Visited the place for the first time and had a good impression for the hotel. Hospitality: A+ Nice and Co-operative check-in staff. Helpful Room Service. Good service is their edge over others. Room Type: A Front Facing Deluxe A/C Good architecture. A double bed + a queen size double bed on top. I loved that place. Room Cleanliness: A+ Rooms were very clean, specifically bathroom and accessories. Amenities: B+ All functional and in good condition. Equipped with all necessary items. (E. G. A cloth stand to hang your wet garments…) Hotel have its private access to Beach. A big +. Restaurant: Food Hygiene: A+ First time I got surprised to see clean kitchen. Food Taste: A I must say the head chef is passionate about his work and is courteous to serve your need. Service time: A+ It's buffet. Mostly no buckets empty during promised hours. We got it beyond that too. Locality: Not highly populated. A small shop nearby keeps almost everything that you may have forgotten for your trip. It remains open till 11pm. Access: Depends on from where you come from. But must say it rewards you back for your efforts to reach there. Overall I appreciate my stay at Golden Swan Beach Resort.

Property located bang on beach. Service and Food is good. Rooms are very small which is let down, however definitely worth visiting once.

Nice staff and really refreshing.

I visted Golden Swan Beach Resort last weekend with my wife. The best thing about the place was its closeness to the beach. Only a few steps and there you are! On the beach! The food was excellent. Although it took some time to prepare, it was still worth the wait. We got the opportunity to taste authentic Konkani food. No alcohol on the menu. The staff were kind and ready to help. They guided us about how to get around as well. All in all, it was a great experience. I would visit Murud again soon. :D.

I give this one 3 stars. Pros… 1) Beautiful property 2) Huge and clean villas 3) Private beach 4) Friendly and very helpful staff 5) You can rent bicycles here for dirt cheap prices and explore the little town Cons… 1) Food is not that good Best way to reach from Mumbai via Alibag. Avoid Roha ghat. Google maps took me through Roha ghat and it was deserted like hell and the road there in patches. Route from Panvel to Alibag is good and it gets really beautiful at some places when you are driving adjacent to the sea.

Not as good as shown in the pictures at website. Food was good though.

Great Experience Stayed at Golden Swan Beach Resort in May and had a great time. Tried water sport activities which was a thrilling experience. The resort was nice and peaceful.

ALERT! Entire Staff is Crook n full of thieves. I was robbed from my room, Midnight when we were deep asleep. Hi! Trust me don't stay in this hotel. They have loose door locks, Or faulty door locks. The staff is full of Thieves n crook. The place is not even a percent secure. The manager/management also does not take any responsibility if any thing is missing. They infact doubt us and search our bags n pockets, if we r not lying. The manager feels that her staff is the best. But madam your staff is the actual thieves in your hotel. I dont know whether you are aware of it or not, or may be you must be having a share in every roddery done in your hotel. I Give a ZERO RATING to this hotel. Now its you decision to stay in this hotel or not. Happy Touring.
