The Havelis, even though are all over the bustling city of ahmedabad can go easily overlooked by any tourist or traveler. However, do keep half a day, if not one, to visit and marvel the jaw dropping architecture and the interesting history and rejuvenation stories behind these Havelis. Of all the Havelis, mostly concentrated in Raipur, Kalupur and nearby areas, the best is Deewanji ni Haveli. The royalty and class of the Haveli speaks for itself! If you don't have the budget to stay here, don't worry. You can have a guided stroll in the Haveli just for 100 INR per head (rate for Indians). The staff is very curteous and eager to show you around. Your visit to Ahmedabad is certainly not complete without a visit to Deewanji. They also organise guided tours of important Havelis In the area. Call them to enquire.

One of the best stays, the staff really sweet and helpful and the haveli clean and yet maintaining the rustic look. Reaching to the place is a slightly difficult due to narrow roads. Overall experience is amazing. A worthwhile stay if you love peace serenity and old style living.
