Neat and clean rooms and good services very close to the beach… very friendly staff.

I had the privilege of staying here for 3 weeks this year. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I am blessed to now call this place my home from home. An incredibly warm and caring family that I hope will be in my life for years to come. I’ve been to goa many many times and stayed in various places ranging in types, but the generosity and friendship I felt here was priceless. If you want to high end hotels then it’s not for you, however if you want to feel the beauty and warmth of Goa, then this is the place to be. I miss you and will see you soon. X.

Best part — — The Location! Just 250 metres from the Candolim Calangute beach stretch.
Market (Siolim Aguada Road) is on the opposite side, and that too 200 metres.
Wonderful budget accommodation, WONDERFUL OWNERS — — Ricardo and Mrz. Leena (and their equally helpful Son Kevin) — — theyll take care of the basics… and must mention the fact that the owners also own a Beach Shack where u have the privilege to inform 2 hours in advance wot to order (my personal favourite is their Kingfish).
Go there, dont expect a Taj coz u arent paying for it, its just Home away from home.
Been there twice, and must say, wont search for another option ever!

"Excellent Guest House and Staff" This is one of the best guest house, we stayed in. Room was large with a sitting area with a couch. The room was very, very clean and modern with nice views. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and professional.

Very clean rooms. Had stayed for 6 nights, we were 8 members and we had an amazing stay at joaquinas guest house. Aunty Lina, she is very good lady, very helpful we had arrived early in the morning which was around 5 am in the morning and the check in time for us was given at 11 am but she gave us the room at 5 am. Which was really good about her. She also arrange bikes for us. Rooms are very good, location was perfect, beach was just walk able distance, the rooms also have a balcony, food also was delivered at the door step of our room. *Keys Points of guest house* Aunty's behavior was amazing and helpful. The rooms price was affordable and good. Rooms are very clean and big. Location wise it was perfect. It not crowded. Willing to help in best possible way. Arrange bikes and cars. Food delivery also is good but takes 40 minutes to reach so you need to tell in advance Beach walk able distance Etc. Etc. Overall it was a great time at this guest house. Will be going to come for the next year at this guest house. This guest house deserves to be the best guest house!

We booked because of the reviews for 3 nights, but sorry to say it was the worst experience ever. Not only was the place so difficult to find (Little Italy was hard to find in the dark as there was no lights, we also were given… No toilet paper. No mineral water provided. No A/C which we booked (they told us they didnt see that requested even though it was in my confirmation email). No towels. No water hose for the toilet. The fridge was not turned on (also meant to be available). The bed, bed sheets, blankets and pillows were older and holier than religions put together! The spare futon was thinner than a mouse can squeeze through a pinhole. The owner also asked us for Rs20 to photocopy our passports! We left the guest house and we shifted to a nicer place with a pool! The owner charged us Rs500 to cancel then tried to give us less of the refund we were entitled too. (It seems they need the money! ). We asked to leave at 1300 but they said we had to pay one more night as it was past the 1000 check out time forcing us to suffer another night. We had arrived at 0200 that morning so we woke late. The swimming pool was in bad condition with all fungi and algae but the owner said there is nothing wrong with it. Our concerns were not at all considered just every attempt to get as much money from us as possible.

We stayed in Joaquina's Guest House from 11th to 15th of August. First of all, it's in budget for a group of 12 and we felt the rate is very reasonable. We had very pleasant time there, and Rooms are spacious and Bathrooms are also very clean. Attached Balcony for all rooms and the view in the morning or evening looks amazing. Everyone in the house were very helpful especially Kevin, and we got good suggestions from them. Even though we stayed late talking, playing but no one objected! Calanguate Beach is in walkable distance, and this place is close to 2 of the busiest Beaches in Goa, Baga and Calanguate. A nearby restaurant delivered food to room 24/7, which is good and tasty as well. It was one of the best experience spending time in Goa during Monsoon!

We stayed at this place for a total of 6 days. Best guest house till date. Owners are very helpful and caring. No interference, no crowd. Peaceful environment all around. Overall a good choice.

The worst experience. Had a booking for 2 nights with my family but at the last moment, they put us in some other guesthouse saying the booking was full. How can someone do such things at the time of check-in? The other guesthouse was pathetic and stinking. You can't even stay for few minutes inside. Very unprofessional behaviour. Please avoid this guesthouse and am sure you didn't come to Goa to spoil your trip.

Best guest house with good facilities, 24 hours hot and cold water, A/C rooms, free Wi-Fi, each room has a private bathroom and balcony and free parking too. Must try this place. This owner is very friendly and helpful too.

This is my 3rd time in Goa and I always stay in this guest house. The rooms are really good and cheap, value for money. And the owner is really amazing.

Once again we had an amazing stay at Excellent Guest House. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. The rooms are spacious. It was the perfect place to wind down after moving out of our house and we will definitely go back there. Value for money. Beach also is very close by, they even have their restaurant on the beach.

A good place to stay in goa. Very nice rooms, clean and tidy. Owner was very helpful and genuine. Calangute Beach is very near, just 5 minutes walk and local shops are also nearby. Overall a good experience.
