We were a group of 8 that were sourly disheartened with our experience at InDa. The property was nothing like we imagined or expected from the post or pics on booking. Com. A majority of us being from the travel industry, we have travelled far and wide and are not fussy about the little things but like everyone we do expect the basic service and facilities that are promised online. Sadly, in the case of InDa, nothing was delivered! The property is dingy and unkempt. We arrived at noon and were made to wait nearly 1.5 hours, before our rooms were hurriedly cleaned and made ready, all the time being promised ‘welcome drinks’ that sadly never came!
The office was empty with just one staff member (probably a manager) running around, which was frustrating because there was no one to express our grievance to. Finally after settling in, we made our way to the restaurant. To say that the kitchen (on the way to the restaurant) was filthy would be an understatement! The kitchen staff looked dirty, with soiled clothes, made one cringe to think that they would be handling our food!
No covid protocols were followed, no sanitation, no masks for staff, nothing.
Though Booking. Com listed this property as one that did not require an advance payment, I was contacted by the hotel for an advance of 30%, which though I thought was odd, I paid readily because of what I expected from the post!

Excellent hosts, we love it!

We stayed there a year ago and rented a motor bike from them/a person they work with. I unfortunately fell with the bike on the gravel in the driveway of the hotel, we checked the bike, it seemed fine (so did the hotel staff and they said the same). The next day, they said the bike needs fixing and the whole front is warped. I was really hesitant to pay because it sounded all a bit sketchy but Alik, the owner, told me not to worry, that they've worked with the guy for a long time etc. I agreed to pay the money with my credit card at the hotel directly to Alik but asked him many times to make sure the guy with the motor bikes sends me a complete invoice with all the stuff that was fixed, because I have an insurance that would cover that. He promised me many time. We exchanged numbers and he then send me a picture of a paper with random fixes of the bike that had nothing to do with the actual 'damage'. I kept asking him for a real invoice as he promised many time. At the end he offered to pay me the 45 € back, which I agreed to. I send him all my account details but never received anything. I kept asking and texting him but he just started ignoring me. Event though the stay itself was very nice, this ruined it for me completely and I feel cheated. I.

Very nice place to spend quality time with family and friends. The interiors and design in the rooms and in cafe are very creative. And to say about the food it's just awesome. All together it is too too good.

A cozy stay. Best during rainy season. I would rate the food to be excellent. The management is very courteous. Finding the place would be quite the task, just blindly follow Google Maps. The place has easy access to the beach/cliff, it is a 2 minute walk. Overall, I'd rate it 4.8/5

It was just horrible… I can't understand how they gat so many good reviews! If anyone wants to make the worst holiday of their life… this is the best hotel to stay in! Everything from rooms to food and service was horrendous. The owner was extremely rude when we told her our concerns. We told her that due to the power cut and lack of air conditioning we had very disturbed night and this is what she said " If you wanted to sleep, you would have"! Is it possible to give them — 5/5?

It is a good place to stay providing you a very cozy environment to stay. A set up to relax and enjoy with good books to read that are provided in every room. If you are searching for a place to stay with a touch of Indian villages you should definitely stay here. If you have a liking towards healthy lifestyle you should definitely eat here.

Really cute bead & breakfast held by a very friendly and helpful couple. The rooms are simple and clean and the garden is luxurious and beautifully decorated with small lights and candles. A small path leads to the beach within 3min walk. The breakfast is included in the price and is an amazing and freshly made choice of healthy fruits, pancakes and oats. I highly recommend this place which is a great value for money.

Great place to stay in Varkala! The staff helped with everything right from finding a short route to Varkala cliff to cutting fruits for us. The place also rents scooters for local commuting at the price of Rs 300 per 24 hours. The rooms are beautiful and a give a feeling of staying at an exotic place. I would only knock off 1 star because my wife got bad treatment from the cafe staff and was spoken to rudely, also the place is difficult to find in the night. Besides these, not a better place to stay at this price.

Cool place to stay and or eat. Cottages are quirky and quite comfortable. Breakfasts are amazing. Very convenient for the cliff / beach. Owners very friendly and helpful, really make you feel welcome.

Very friendly staff. Went here for breakfast, simple menu with 4 options. We went for the pancakes with banana and fruit. Came with 3 big thick stacked pancakes with banana in between, with apple, watermelon, papaya, pineapple, grapes, orange and golden syrup. Was incredibly tasty. Filtered water provided for free which is nice, and reusable metal straws which is a nice environmental choice. Coffee or tea comes with breakfast and is refillable if several cups of coffee is your sort of thing.

One of the best hotels on the cliff in Varkala. Hearty breakfast. Decent rooms. A secluded setting. Complete relaxation and fusion with nature. Good internet and always hot water in the rooms. Many thanks to Aliku, Alyona and Aline. Guys, you fellows!

This place is completely filled with foreigners and is very simple and nice arrangements. Please dont go this place if you have luxury in your mind. It is very near to the beach cliff and everything is accessible. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Very much recommended.

A nice little laid back place, great food & courteous staff. The place is just 5 mins walk from the beach. Rooms are clean & spacious. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, quite getaway.

We chanced upon this place and immediately fell in love with it. My student daughter, I and a few of her friends were visiting Varkala. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Inda. The owners are very friendly Ukrainians. Staff is always smiling and helpful. Just the sort of place we wanted. Kind of quaint and serene. Food was also delicious.

We spent 4 nights in Inda and our stay was really great! Stylish rooms, excellent breakfast and lovely staff made our time in Varkala a pure joy. Everything was perfect and specially the staff made us feel like we were at home with friends. Thank you very much to everyone for your kindness, we will be back!

A boutique hotel, very tastefully designed. It's the most charming place in Varkala I would say. Class apart from the so called beach resorts of Varkala. The cafe options for vegetarians is limited. The food is prepared fresh on order. We got a very good deal at about 1000Rs per night for 3 nights including breakfast during September which is like off-season here. Highly recommended.

It's was indeed a great stay. They have great rooms and it was chill even without ACs. And Preethi decent priced. Car parking may become a difficulty. The staffs are very helpful. You can even rent bikes/scooters in here.

It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in cafeteria where we had breakfast. Food was beyond good and great value for money. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. We had a great time at Inda. Staff's @ Inda are super awesome they know the true value of customer service. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Good place to stay, the place is neat and clean, also you can feel that you are staying in a foreign country. The ambiance was so good.

The rooms very neat and artistically decorated. The washroom pipes lacked pressure. The food at their restaurant was healthy and tasty. A bunch of Ukrainian were running the place. One of them was kind to arrange a taxi for us. There was apparently mongoose nesting on the roof and it disturbed our sleep. Hopefully they fixed the gap in the roof. When we complained about the roof, one lady didn't care but then another lady apologized. Some of them are very interested in developing the place while others didn't care as much. The place was priced at around 1300 Rs which was good value for money.

Cheap, but amazing value for money. The people there are all very polite and friendly. Menu is fixed, but whatever they're giving is good. Ambience is now too. The theme is fisherman's cove, with even Catamarans for benches.

Perfect location, right in the middle of the North Cliff of Varkala. Big rooms, clean and carefully decorated. Beautiful green common area with a quiet ambiance. Helpful and welcoming staff. Exceptional breakfast with unlimited drinks (could be served at the cafe or to your personal terrace) This place has added 5 stars to my trip. Highly recommended!

You wouldn't find better. Clean and cozy! Friendly hosts. Restaurant on the territory with good quality breakfast and food all day long. Free mineral water everyday. 5 min walk to the beach.

In this place I have finally felt cherished harmony.

Amazing laid-back place in Varkala. I have stayed here for four days and I am sure I will come back in a few weeks, it is that good. The cottages are tidy and spacious with a modern tiled bathroom. Best thing about the InDa Hotel is the cosy atmosphere and the central place where guests can hangout, while not being committed to anything. The filter coffee is great and the breakfast with yoghurt, fruits and muesli keeps you going! Haven't encountered something similar during my travels in India.
