Elephant Court is hands down one of the prettiest properties we have stayed on our visit to India. We stayed here for one night. We enjoyed staying here. Staff is very courteous and accommodating, the property is clean and well kept. The restaurant on site is wonderful. The chef was nice enough to come and chat with us and offered to make us special meal. Breakfast was wonderful.
It was amusing to see postings of monkey warnings. The decor is grand and fitting to the name.
We absolutely recommend this place and hope to come back sometime soon.

Elephant court, Thekkady lives upto the magnanimity and elegance of its name. Exceptionally beautiful property well managed by its superb team of staffs, courteous, well-groomed, lively, helpful and everything they can be. Special mention for ajithha arya Jerome Surjit and the entire restaurant team.
Breakfast and dinner Buffet spread is sufficient for all preferences and as delicious as it can be. Hotel and room amenities are in plenty. 5 Stars for a reason.

Class Place to visit. Monsoon is the best time to visit this place. The hospitality and food is awesome. Quality of roo. And behavior of the staff is no doubtedly excellent one. Regards

A nice place to spend your weekend if you are in thekkady. I stayed in the patio room and the view was admirable. The food served was good is taste the hospitality of the staff was upto mark. The continental breakfast served was of good quality but more choices could have been there. In all a nice place and I recommend this place to everyone…

The elephant court one of the best hotel I In thekkady. Hotel reception area is very nice and comfortable location. Hotels rooms is awesome one of the best things I like about this hotel. Balcony location and seating arrangements cool. Very nice restaurant, good food, clean, and staff very friendly best thing is service. Food must try their is multiple options for lunch and dinner. Only one place they need to improve is activity area, their not enough playing items to spend time. Overall is very good hotel.

Great resort to stay with family. Stay is comfortable, amenities good and food is nice. Also staff is very friendly and goes extra mile to make things comfortable for you. We stayed there with a precocious toddler. They have enough space for him to run around and an activity room to keep him engaged. He liked the elephant statues everywhere.

Fantastic property with a pool and other activities including gym and massage centre with sauna (not many massage places offer this so it was a good bonus). But most of all they have excellent staff — their courtesy and helpfulness was exemplary. Not only were they professional, they genuinely tried to do their very best and provide us with a wonderful experience. Kudos to the hospitality team.

One of the best hotel I have visited. Truly a 5 star experience. Took a honeymoon suite and the room was really very special. Every element in the room and hotel premises is so well placed. Hotel ambience is very good, you feel refreshed and the amenities help you to spend your time. What we most loved here is the food. A single word and thats just AMAZING. Food quality was really very good. Main thing about this hotel is the hospitality they show which is very commendable. It was nice experience staying here.

Excellent place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean and have a good balcony to sit out. They have all amenities like swimming pool, gym and activity center. Very close to periyar lake. Would highly recommend.

Excellent property and very good service. Breakfast buffet is good, food price otherwise matches Five Star standards, but there are plenty of other options nearby. I'd have loved it more if it had more open spaces.

The best resort in Thekkady. Amazing staffs and beautiful resort. You get very warm welcome in traditional style. They also offer Welcome drinks. The staffs are very courteous and they are smiling and very well managed. They are always there to help you in every possible manner. The rooms are very spacious, clean. Room service is great. The breakfast buffet is also very nice.

Excellent stay for family. Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights, with our two sons: a 3 year old and an 8 months old Very warm and courteous staff. Spacious patio room with king sized bed, well sized wardrobe, large bathroom and a classic traditional sitout in balcony. Excellent property. Pay them the money and get the value. I will visit again.

Mr shajoo restaurant manager is very co-operative. Nice staff. Pool is awesome. In nature's lap. Rooms with nice view and balcony. Food is very good.

The ambience is good. The staff are friendly and professional in making arrangements for boating and elephant ride and Jeep rides. Rooms are nice and neat. The only but major negative point is food at restaurant is not for people who like South Indian food.

We spent 2 nights in this elegant, but simple hotel. The staff was welcoming, friendly, attentive to our needs and service was exceptional. Food excellent and a variety… both north and South Indian, meat, fish and western cuisine as well. Room was comfortable with a nice teak patio. Lobby is open air and a great spot for sitting or hanging out. Pool is beautiful, and refreshing. Don’t usually go for 5 star hotels, but this one feels comfortable and beautiful without being excessive or stuffy. Our aryuvedic treatments were good, but a bit overpriced. Would stay here again!

Nice hotel, clean bungalows, attentive service. Mainly tourists from Arab and Asian countries. No alcohol.

Pros Beautiful resort. Nice and cool ambience. The staff is really good and they do everything possible to make u comfortable. Good activity area for kids. Cons But there is a need of improvement in electricity which kept on triping off. The food is average. The restaurant has a lot of space in which they should have A separate table for non-veg and veg dishes.

Nice resort at good location. Many known resort on the same way, they do not serve liquor and food is very costly 900 rs buffet veg or non-veg. Room are good and well maintained.

Mr. Prasoon was very enthusiastic & was very helpful. They even have suites with a pool inside & suites which have private gardens. The food was excellent & with a good buffet spread. The ayurvedic massage was good & is done by professional masseurs. Overall, worth the 2 nights, we stayed there.

Had a massage in the spa. Staying in their sister hotel Peppervine next door. Staff were excellent. Very professional. The manager made a point of welcoming us to the hotel in person. A lovely touch. Staff polite and attentive and the massage was first class. Would recommend to anyone.

Simple & Elegant Kerala architecture at its best, excellent service & great rooms make the experience truly wonderful.

My wife lost her wedding gift (diamond pendent) in this resort and we just got married on 26th Dec!
I got this gift from Melbourne for my wife but their staff simply stole it and manager is reluctant to accept the theft conducted in this premise. He kept insisting that his staff is incapable of such an act.
It is not about money but about feelings which were associated with this first gift.
Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for sure!

Nice place, decent service. All well kept in elephant court.

Our experience recently was not so good. Firstly, the guests must be given a choice whether to take part in the Xmas events and new year eve events… some may just have arrived like we did after a long and tiring journey and may just want to relax. Moreover, making the guests who do not participate in these events too pay an exhorbidant sum towards it stating it is mandatory was shocking! The women staff at the Reception counter were quite curt in their handling of the situation and were not giving correct information and ttheir response to queries was Poor. Guests who arrive self-driving must be given a separate area to park their vehicles so that we could go out at our convenience. We had a problem on this aspect too more than once. The only saving grace was the courteous manager who is the only one who deserves merit.

Things could've been much better with the infrastructure they have in place. I mean, the location is perfect, the staff is brilliant, the construction is nice. When I say the staff is great, I mean really really great. They did their best to make us feel comfortable. The good. Location, staff, rooms. The bad. Food is substandard. There aren't enough electrical sockets in the room. The ugly. Silverfish. They really need some pest control. Improper electrical wiring. The electricity kept tripping off. Improper plumbing. You open the tap and you can see Niagara falls in front of you.

We were fortunate to be given a superior room and we found a marvel. A large room, a nice garden with porch, a basket of fruits and banana chips and something else that we did not know and a few pasta what a luxury! The bathroom, also very spacious a little outdated. There are monkeys and squirrel-like animals in the hotel gardens that I don't know the name of. The spa staff are great, we got a wonderful massage. The hotel staff is wonderful and they know you all by your name amazing! Everything is beautiful and nice. Excellent staff and hotel, totally recommended.

We had a great stay at our 2 day stopover in the Elephant Court in Thekkady. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, especially the guys in the Restaurant ;) Thank you! And what you definetly should do, is a jungle walk with one of the local guides.

My stay here was just wonderful. The hospitality, service, landscape, rooms, food, everything is commendable. Plus free Wi-Fi! This is one of the best hotels that I have been to in Kerala. Highly recommended.

A stay in The Elephant Court is an experience that one cannot forget throughout his/her lifetime. The hotel is known for offering traditional Kerala hospitality to all its guests, and hence it is a preferred stay for all the business tourists and leisure travelers who visit the city. As soon as one enters the hotel, his/her attention is caught by the elephants statues and the sari wearing hostesses who welcomes them with garlands and at that moment, one realizes that a stay in this hotel is going to be more than it promised to be. Billed as the only 5 star restort in Thekkady, they do well to live up to this statement. Sure its not as slick as Vivanta by Taj where we were a week before but read on… Thekkady is pretty small and walkable, anywhere you choose to stay you'll be nearby all the shops, tours, etc. Elephant Court checkin was a pleasure with warm and friendly crew welcoming us with traditional indian garlands, falooda milkshake, refreshment towels etc. Hotel facilities were great, pool was clean, decent size and had a nice deep end (6.5ft) Room — Quite a large room, massive king size bed with large center area, couch, work desk, fridge, etc. All the amenties you'd need in a room. Standalone basin and then a bathtub/shower/toilet area — fully tiled with lots of fans and working aircon did help in surviving the heatwave hitting south india Dining — breakfast was extensive with all your usual indian dishes and a few western fares, egg station as well as dosa station was tasty as expected — we had dinner one evening, food was good. Tasty and fresh, a bit steep by Indian standards (bill for 2 came to about 2500inr) Wifi — Wifi was ok, average speed was about 1 to 1.5meg, even though they said it was limited to 2 devices, we used it across 3 devices without any issues. Pro's — large, clean and comfy rooms — friendly and efficient service — decent Wi-Fi Cons — cant really fault them with much. We really enjoyed our stay here, perhaps faster Wifi would be nicer.

One of the best places to stay in kerala. I would highly recommend it not just because of the property also majorly because of the service. The most courteous and helpful staff. The rooms were well maintained. The best that they own is their pool. Great collection of trees planted within the premises and also amazingly mainted. In my whole trip to kerala elephant court, thekkady was by far the best of all the places I visited. Thanks to the team for the lovely stay I had. I would surely love to go back and also recommend the place as the only place to choose when in thekkady. You guys should also come up with properties in different places in kerala as well so that such hospitality is experienced all over. I regret for staying just a day there. See you soon guys. It's a traditional luxurious resort.

We spent two nights at this place. The hotel is in a nice setting and amenities are good but as a whole, we did not like it. (1) Rooms were not clean. Even the floor mats were filthy. (2) Shampoo & conditioners were poor quality and containers were too small for 2 people. One would expect better than this from 4 star hotels. (3) Hot water ran out in middle of a quick shower. (4) When we complained to the Executive Associate, he had a smirk on his face. My wife felt quite insulted. (5) They promised to change the room but never did. (6) The restaurant was super expensive and there was hardly anyone for dinner.

Good hotel in the middle of Thekkady. Staff is very friendly. Food is tasty. Location is good, very close from all sight seeing points. Only downside was that the place was noisy because of ongoing maintenance and nearby comstruction work. Balcony is the specialty of the place. Take room on 1st floor to enjoy it to the fullest.

Hotel g m's behaving is totaly very bad, they are takking booking and transfer to other hotel they are doing like an agent.

This was my favorite hotel in my trip around India. The rooms are big, the bed is huge and very comfortable. The bathroom fine, enough. The rooms have a terrace to enjoy the nature, and are separated one of another. Minibar in the room and a desk table. The hall is awesome! Very good decoration. The service is incredible, they welcome you with flowers, juice and other stuff. The only bad thing to me was that the internet connection is only available in the hall.
