We had a pleasant stay here. Room was convenient, spacious and breezy. Balcony had a great view. Good food was available close by. Located in busy town area with lots of restaurants and spice shops on the same street.

Extremely kind owner and very well maintained home stay rooms. Ask for Room which has very good view to see back side of forest with large glass view from room itself and also a nice balcony. We saw Bisons and few other animals from the balcony itself. Food is not available but there are restaurants just within 5 minutes walk.

Our stay in this Homestay was pleasant. They are conscious of cleanliness and hygiene. Food was quite good. House keeping calls were quickly responded to. We had booked this property through " My Holiday Trip". This is in the centre of the town. Lobby is spacious and the staff is polite. Rooms do need some paintings. Hot water was available 24hrs. We really enjoyed staying here.

Safe home stay. Get the balcony room in third floor which has a nice view. No food, but surrounded by a set of good restaurants at walkable distance. Periyar Tiger reserve office is also nearby. Have a cultural centre also nearby to watch Kathakali Or Kalarippayattu.

Location is also good place lots of restaurants are there nearby. By mistake I booked for incorrect date 10 Jan instead of 11 Jan Before making a booking I had inquired with Sheebu weather rooms are available on 11 are not He remembered our conversation and matched I have mistakenly booked 1 day in advance and kept the rooms available for next day for us. Their rooms service are very quick. Tea & coffee were good. They can make food if you say well in advance. Thanks Sheebu & your Families for your hospitality.

Spacious room, clean, lovely balcony with a satisfying view. Has cabel t. V. With a decent selection. Large bathroom, that came with towels. Lovely place.

Very nice and clean accommodation facility. The owner is very friendly and helping. He helped us with our itinerary as well as all the bookings. Another plus is the proximity to Periyar tiger reserve, it is a walk of hardly 5 mins to the park. Overall, the stay was satisfactory and absolutely worth the money.

Excellent rooms closer to the forest and have fine restaurant nearby. Owner Mr. SHIBU is specially to draw your attention by his pleasant behaviour.

One of the best homestay for your stay in Thekkady. The rooms are spacious, they have TV, Wi-Fi, 24 hrs, hot water. The views from the window and balcony are just amazing. You can see the dense jungle. They have chairs to enjoy your drink in the presence of the silence of the forest. Good for families and group of friends. You have many eating options as well near by. The care taker is very helpful.

I spotted more animals from my window here than the trip into the National Park. Rooms: Spacious, very clean and completely airy. I loved the location and the view from the balcony. The bathrooms were so clean. Location: Located at a 7 minute walk from the main entrance to the National Park. There are multiple eating joints of various caliber to cater to your taste buds. Owners: Wonderful people to know.

Its a Nice place to stay, reasonable charges, well maintained, pleasant ambience.

Our office friends and I visited Thekkady two months back in Jan — 2016. Climate was moderate. We lodged this Kerela House Homestay. U feel home when you enter the rooms. You can have a direct view of the Periyar from your balcony. Best suited for family and friends tour. Shibu the person incharge lives with his family there and he roots from Thekkady. So your safety is ensured to some extent. He gave his best guidance throughout the trip. Also you can reach all the finest spots like the Periyar Tiger reserve, Jeep Safari, Arts centre, Spice and handicraft shopping area by walk. For Christians you can also benefit Sunday Mass @ 7 a. M. From St. Lourdes Shrine. Its around 2 k. M distant from the stayhouse. For all, apart from the normal programme in Thekkady dont miss to visit Pattumala Matha Church in Peremede (distance around 30 k. M. ) — — You will adore the ambience around the church, your travel. And The Botanical Spice Gardens in Thekkady. Remember to carry your writing tools. You gain plentiful information about the plants and our healthy living in just a 30 mins oration.

Central location directly at the park entrance and yet quiet located with green views. Very friendly and helpful at all times Vermieter. Das wonderful breakfast is served on your private balcony! Very good price — performance ratio. We have felt very much at home.

Please don't drive your car in. There is no parking facility. So, if you are coming with your car, please park it at any pay and park. If you park it in road side, there may be damage. Because of crazy jeep and autorikhow drivers in thekkadi.
