Wonderful rooms, fantastic views. The food in the restaurant was delicious, not a bad dish was served. Located on a steep hillside with lots of steps, would be hard for people with mobility issues or children in buggies. The service was spot on, great showers with plentiful hot water and good Wi-Fi. Would recommend highly.

Forest Canopy is a lovely place nestled on a hillside with duplex cottages. The views are gorgeous, the service great and the rooms generous in space and amenities. It is also quiet as it is away from the hustle bustle of the city. The restaurant is perched on the highest point of the property and one does feel a part of the canopy. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beautiful resort, great hospitality. Restaurant is at steep height but they provide van ride from your cottage to restaurant and pool. Staff has great hospitality.

A beautiful resort build by the Highway to Kumily on a hillside. The reception is at the lowest point and a winding road takes to upwards towards the rooms and at the top to the Restaurant, Pool and recreational facilities. The view is amazing from out there. The staff are well trained and hospitable. From the first instance you are welcome by the staff with the Traditional "Namaste! " It was a pleasure visiting the place just for lunch. I am sure the stay would be even better.

You like this place, if you appreciate solitude. Neat and clean rooms and toilets. Food tasty, variety available. Staff very polite and helpful. Location fantastic, beautiful, eye-catching panoramic view of the hills.

Stayed here for two nights. The place is amazing. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent. They even book all the sightseeing activities, which is pretty difficult to do on your own. The view from the hotel is amazing. They have a coffee shop which has over 50 varieties of coffee and smoothies. The food here is also good. Would visit this place again if I could. They have an upright piano in the reception which needs to be tuned and repaired. That's my only gripe with this resort.

A wonderful place to visit. The staff are super friendly and are quick. You ask for something and they are there at your doorstep within seconds. The view is awesome. Each booking gets a separate cottage kinda room at each level on the hill. The restaurant and swimming pool are the top level and the view from there is even more beautiful. Every time you need to go from your room somewhere like the restaurant or swimming pool just call the reception and they'll send a cab for you. A must place to stay.

It's wonderful Place say Hill Resort to stay. People managing here will treat you with Best ever hospitality. The Location and arrangement of rooms were in epic manner which gives you privacy as well as Good view. The Restaurant located on top of the hill with pool to reach there they running free cab service. Food taste and service is Super Good. It will be little difficult for aged peoples to climb up & down with steps. Overall with this epic stay we have collected so much sweet memories. Enjoyable & Memorable Stay.

This rating is only for coffee shop. Coffee is far better than ccd. I am disappointed for not maintaining any local coffee flavours, some exploration to virgin coffee flavours would have been interesting, rather it's the same variety like in any modern coffee shop. Ambience is simple and elegant as a part of their hotel reception area.

Its a hotel on hill. Food menu and the taste is amazing. They serve north indian food. There is a little challenge to roam around the property being located on hill but they have made sure to run the cabs around the clock. The staff is really courteous and helpful. The hotel specialize in coffee. They have a 24 hrs coffee shop with a big menu of coffee. Love this place to stay.

Nice place to stay with beautiful view. Gala dinner on new year eve was superb with lots of food and entertainment. Very friendly people. We had hot water problem. We stayed 2 nights in Dec and even after complain no improvement. Very difficult for handicap person as many steps to climb even their cab drops to your room. Same issue for the access to restaurant. We were two seniors 75 yrs and there was no problem to climb steps but one with problem to think twice.

Absolutely loved the way this place is built. The view is sure something. Service and ambience was great too. Plus they have great coffee! One drawback: the food menu seems too expensive. But what a place to stay! And very easily accessible from the market…

Went for Coffee at their Coffee shop. Nice variety of coffee as also some other beverages are available. The service is good and unobtrusive and the ambience classy. Enjoyed the short halt there. Recommended for travelers going enroute.

The staff and hotel itself were fantastic. Unfortunately, we came here when there was two days of heavy rainfall and intense winds. Our experience had some really bad luck, but the staff took care of our every needs, and I can't say enough nice things about them. The rooms are clean and very beautiful. The high ceilings gives you the feeling that you're not cramped. Getting around the hotel is made simple with the car service they provide. The food is very good, breakfast has dishes from south India as well as western food. Since we had so much rain during our visit, the bugs did seem to be a problem, but when we arrived, there weren't many.

A beautiful place which allows breathtaking views of the forest canopy. The cottages are luxurious and comfortable and the restaurant serves amazing food and views also. Staff is always around to cater to your every need! (Do try out the delicious coffee varieties at the bar in the lobby, what a treat! )

My stay at Forest Canopy was awesome. They have about 22 very well maintained rooms. Pool, spa and a very great woods facing gym. The food at the restaurant was also awesome. There service was also great, I asked them to arrange a cake at a very short notice and they did. If I ever visit Periyar again I will chose to stay at 'Forest Canopy' again.

Very nice place right on the highway knowing the terrains you are better for off near the highway. Very close to the periyar Lake. The architecture is impressive. We were on the lower level, which is better when you are with kids. So we enjoyed the rides to the restaurant and back.

Excellent rooms. Good service. Good to take rooms near to the swimming pool so you will get good view from the balcony. Excellent care by the staff. Twin rooms can accommodate 4 to 5 members. Food is average and a bit expensive.

We had a great experience in Forest Canopy. Rooms were spacious and comfy with amenities like mini Fridge, Electric Kettle, AC, TV, and hot water. It has swimming pool and car is available 24×7 for places within the resort. Food is decent. Resort Café remains open 24×7. Parking place is available. Nice place to spend your holiday.

The staff is so good, but the restaurant has cooking smell in the dinner, very bad smell and no natural air flow. The furniture is old. The Internet​ is so slow. The bathroom tools is not complete. When doing paper review, tgey stand near to you and if you want to do fair review they stand before you and try to make you do excellent review. If I want to do my review let me do it as I wish without force me.

Stopped for breakfast. Had a great Buffet Breakfast for Rs300. It's on top of a small hill and the management has provided cars to pick and drop customers to restaurant.

This is super property, nice rooms and restorent. Staffs are asset of this property. Location of this resort is grate I will give 5 star to forest canoppy.

Good place to stay… Nice food. Thanks to chef varun… restaurant Staffs are nice and courteous. Booked through hotel reservation service. But that experience was not good. Swimming pool was not cleaned properly. Games room is good. Other than swimming pool all other places are maintained well…

It was an excellent service staff were so kind I stayed for only 1 night I think I would have stayed for another night. The restaurant manager and the staff gave us a real 5 star service, the food was very delicious and with lot of options. The staff provide me the pillow for my son in the rest becuase he was sleeping it was really very kind of him. The Cab service was at the door step anytime needed in seconds over all worth paying it was a great stay …

Well, I would recommend others to just visit and stay at this place and experience it urself this amazingly located place with friendly staff and not to mention the awesome presentation of good and tasty food at ur villa. We enjoyed our stay at this place as there is nothing much to see around in thekkady. Would 100% recommend others… cheers.

We stayed for one night at forest canopy, the cottage had great view of hills, room was great with all required amenities. On request cab been provided to go up and down between reception and restaurant. The dinner been delivered to room and dinner is fine even though not very great. We also made use of indoor and outdoor games and swimming pool. The breakfast was great and enjoyed it. All staff behaved nicely. Its also located on the main road so its easily reachable when you go via kumili. I would recommend you to go here and beware about room rents.

This is a truly lovely resort/hotel, though not as the name implies set in a forest canopy. It is actually positioned next to a main road and rises steeply to the top of the hill.
You arrive at reception and are then ferried to your cabin by van. Not a walk for those with health issues. You can however ring from your room and they will send transport to take you up to the restaurant/pool situated at the top of the hill.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. I would recommend one near the top (200 and above I think) for the best views across the valley.
The food is excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful without being overbearing (getting a bit fed up with over friendly staff who are only looking for you to give positive feedback on the customer feedback forms I keep getting asked to complete at other locations).
The hotel is again, as are many others I have encountered, dry at the moment thanks to a stupid new regional law designed to curb drink driving. I am sure this will change, but for the moment at least if you want a drink take your own. You will have to drink it in your room.
The hotel is well located for easy access to such attractions as the national park.

It is one of the best hotels to experience delightful hospitality and serene ambience. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful making you feel at home. The restaurant offers excellent food options. The location of the swimming pool and the gym is just too good. All in all an extremely pleasant experience and am sure that we will visit again. Just go for it.

Beautiful place to stay for honeymoon. Also the complimentary breakfast had a very good buffet spread. Only thing that we didn't feel good was number of bathroom mats available was not sufficient. Also buffet wasn't available for dinner.

Excellent view from the cottages and very helpful staff. The food also tastes great and the room service is excellent. They also provide free cab service to go up to the restaurant which again has an awesome view. This is helpful for senior citizens. Overall a great resort.

A fine stay and well maintained. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good food and beverage! It is one of a kind stay. Individual cottages with all best class amenities. They serve 50 kinds of coffee which are just brilliant. They even arrange various tours and tickets for cultural shows. And best part it is just 2 km from the city, Kumily.

I was here to celebrate the last night of 2016. I was not sure how it will be… But they had arranged awesome gala dinner party dj many activities to make the event mind blowing. We enjoyed thoroughly and won the best dancing couple awards too. They will earn 5/5 for hospitality and food. The location view and interior of rooms is remarkable beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful view. You get private villa with nice balcony. The staff is really helpful and kind. T he breakfast is great, the chef was really kind and made us some special dishes without even asking. Extra facilities were at fare price (such as minibar, laundry, …)

Thekkaddy is so beautiful, so close to nature. Winding roads, tall trees, gorgeous weather and great company… and even more interesting were tales of all those people who made our stay a lasting memory! Forest canopy, was an experience I will go back to! Yes. Its gorgeous and one superb experience. We went for elephant ride and nature walk. And We got a nice ayurvedic massage from there spa during our awesome stay. The weather couldnt be more beautiful. Restaurant staff was polite and generous. Hospitality was at best. They served us best quality and tasty food. For us they went out of the menu and served. Chef was master of all. Food was less spicy considering the wide range of tourist visit this place. Rooms and surrounding were always clean. Housekeeping was doing great job. You will not find any reason to call them again.
The forest canopy family packed us with so many unforgettable moments specially there welcome tikka. Their hospitality is out of this world…

Had an amazing weekend… The ambiance at forest canopy is outstanding, precisely as seen in the snaps, the location is very convenient and easy to spot. But what impressed us the most was the behavior of the staff… Extremely Friendly and helpful… Loved the attitude each of them had displayed. Keep doing the good work. I strongly recommend this resort to people who are visiting Thekkady.

We stayed in this resort in the month of march 2016 in a duplex type two room set. Resort is very well maintained… interesting part is that even in the resort itself you need conveyance to move from your room to restaurant/pool/reception as everything is at a sloping distance.
