Each of the Palace Suites is unique in theme. Painted floral borders adorn the ceiling while bas-relief decorate the walls. Arched alcoves niched into the walls with colourful glass windows stream the light into the room. Traditional Rajasthani and colonial furniture and spacious marble bathrooms complete the regal experience. Stay in a different suite on each visit to enjoy the palace in its entirety. Separate living rooms and bedrooms offer families the privacy they need. These suites range in size between 410-550 square feet. These suites have King beds, some suites have twin beds available as well. A tea /coffee kettle along with daily replenishments of water to keep you hydrated at all times is available in the suite. These suites can accommodate upto 3 guests. The bathrooms have marble inlay patterns on the walls and floors as well as carved marble shower bases, handcrafted by local artisans. A fabulous place to stay in Udaipur. 'Gorgeous' can hardly begin to describe the beauty of the palace. Every room is a piece of history and art and the staff are more than willing to show you around. Not many people know about this gem, which is a good thing, as you have a chance to have the place all to yourself, like we did. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every moment. Wifi sucks, but you get used to it and just watch the trees and the birds and the sunsets instead. We were with a 9-month-old and the staff did everything to cater to our needs. Food is only Indian and quite spicy, but very tasty.
