Mhow, short for Military Headquarters of War, is a cantonment town located in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, in the central zone of India. It is situated on the Malwa plateau, surrounded by the picturesque Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges. Mhow has a rich history, as it was established as a military cantonment during the British Raj and served as an important center for the British Indian Army. Today, it continues to be an important military center, housing several army establishments and training institutions.
