Best breakfast I ever had in Reykjavik, friendly staff and helpful.

A quiet place with large modern rooms. Staff are friendly willing to help, so you can book all excursions via the hotel reception. Very delicious breakfast, the hotel being located minutes away from city center.

We have stayed at Hotel Klettur on three separate occasions. Twice as a couple and the third with our daughter. The location is great. Most Icelandic tour operators drop off/pick up at the hotel — this is not the case at all hotels and the use of bus stops is required. You can easily walk to most places and the location means it's fairly quiet. The rooms are basic but exactly what you need. We've stayed on floors 1, 2 and 4 now and the room sizes are big enough. With my daughter, we had a sofa bed as well as the double bed. The rooms were light and warm, with dark curtains (ideal for the summer months) Breakfast is a good buffet selection — plenty of bread choices, cold meats, cheese, fruit and porridge. Runs from 7am to 10am and was regularly replenished. The staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The bar is a good addition and the pool table (and indoor northern lights) is great for relaxing Would stay again — just need to work out when we can fit another visit in.

We stayed at the hotel klettur for 3 nights, I am currently sat in the bar for our last evening. Excellent hotel great for adults and excellent location. All the staff are friendly and in particular the bartender, I believe his name was Ian, was exceptionally helpful. Myself and my partner have had a wonderful stay here at hotel klettur, Iceland is a fantastic place and we have been made to feel so welcome.

Spacious rooms with a sparse decor. Great breakfast spread with breads, meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies, and a hot and cold cereal bar with loads of toppings. Parking in the garage and on surrounding streets is free, but spaces can be harder to find at night.

Small parking lot under the hotel, so we had to find another place which was really hard. Smell in the bath, 1st floor. The breakfast is good, they have a hairdryer and an iron in the room.

A nice hotel in Central Reykjavik just a short walk from the main shopping area in town. The rooms were as you'd expect from a 3* hotel, they are modern and clean with all the basic amenities you would expect. The hotel has nice bar in the basement along with a games room just around the corner with a pool table and a aurora mural to get your photos of you don't get lucky with the Northern lights! Also downstairs is the dining area where breakfast is served, it is very busy early on as guests like to get out on their day trips nice and early so you may like to wait before heading down if you are not in a rush to depart.

We have joined a 6 day local tour and were arranged to stay in Klettur for four nites. It is a good hotel with super good breakfast: fruits — bananas, oranges (super big and sweet), apples, kiwis, melon teabags — different kinds and different brands coffee — apart from those regular type such as latte, cappuccino, and it even has espessomocha, a new taste to me bread — many types and … with apple opener for you to cut the whole apple and egg opener for the eggs the breakfast is really far above my expectation and all the food are fresh and good. almost all the staff are able to speak fluent and good English. the game room is terrific, nice decoration with sufficient sofas, chairs, tables, and it is equipped with a snooker! one minor point is: if it has sockets/plugs near the bedsides, that will be great!

Spend 5 nights here. Basic rooms. Good breakfast options and the staff is exceptional. They helped make sure we could get around and that we did not miss our tours. Great location too. Close to shopping street and lots of restaurant choices.

No pretense in sight. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast is wholesome and delicious. Room was comfortable. Location worked well. Appreciated the complementary parking!

Nice hotel. Area seems a bit dodgy especially when arriving in the rain, but it's actually in a good location a few minutes walk to the main walking strips of Reykjavik. Clean, bright room. Wood flooring so there's a bit of sound from the guests above. Washroom is big. Nice staff. Pleasant views from the top floor. We stayed at the beginning and end of our visit to Iceland.

Desperately wished to give at least three stars but sadly I cannot. After a day of touring we came back to find our room cleaned but door unlocked and slightly open. It's a super safe country but that did make me concerned. Also the nighttime desk staff seemed not as informed as the daytime staff. Minus those two things the hotel was clean, the staff always friendly and they had healthy and good tasting breakfast choices. Anton (hope I have correct name) at the desk was amazingly helpful.

I only stayed two days but I liked it.

Everything is OK except the most important is the noise. It is poorly insulated at the sound level that I am disturbed by noises from neighbors from all sides, and especially when the room is side street, I hear all the buses that come and go to pick up and drop off the guests to the hotel.

Good facilities, German tv, ample breakfast buffet. Good Central Location. Prices in the Souvenirsshop slightly above Average. Very friendly Service.

However, the breakfast buffet is permanently crowded. At times the staff does not come to the clearing. So the day does not start relaxed.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was satisfied with it. Good location. Nice service. Big room. Breakfast could be improved though.

Nice hotel quite centrally located. Reception did however book our room out to an elderly German couple an hour after check in, in error. This resulting in them letting themselves into our room while me and the wife were 'celebrating' a safe flight… not ideal in that respect… the German guy might disagree though aye?

My husband and I stayed over Christmas and everything about our stay was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had to buy dinner at the hotel’s refreshment center on Christmas Eve due to plans falling through, and the staff was kind enough to let us use their microwave to heat it up. Every person at the front desk, the breakfast room, and on housekeeping was willing to talk, listen, and help whenever we needed it. The hotel is close to the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast was light, refreshing and delicious. Since returning home, I have missed my Swiss Mocha that I had every morning. 10/10 would stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Reykjavik!

Very clean and modern hotel. Breakfast is a good selection of cerials and meats with fruit, breads, and pastries plus hot and cold drinks. Early breakfast is possible for early departures but beware no service possible between 6 and 7am. This was just when we needed something for our 7:30 pick up for our return flight. Situated a little out of the main town but this was not a problem for us. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel. On our last day the hotel opened the breakfast room to cater for our particular early pick up so making the end of our stay perfect. We would recommend this hptel.

Very nice hotel with good location in city. Walking distance to many popular attractions and shopping. Excellent, friendly and accomodating staff (especially Anton who was very helpful). Room on small size but typical outside of USA. Clean with all basic amenities. Hotel has almost everything but gym/pool. Full continental breakfast is provided. Would stay again when we return for northern lights!

Good for a 3 stars. Reception areas are nice. The room was somewhat spacious. A tad dirty and a bad smells from the drains in our bathroom but breakfast and drinking area made up for that. — Also the 'double bed' rooms are two single beds pushed together that kept sliding.

Great modern hotel with very helpful staff. Nothing is too much of a problem. The decor is modern with a great dose of a good sense of humour. The hotel is well located for access to the town centre. It offers plenty of your options with collection directly from the hotel as well as good secure underground car parking.

Simple but very comfortable and close to the center.

Rather like a Premier Inn quality. Hot water takes ages to get to shower but does eventually get there. Breakfast is continental style plus porridge. No on site restaurant. But good Bar and Games room with pool table. Happy Hour 18.00 — 20.00 half price beer and wine.

Fabulous hotel located in the City Centre a short walk away from the main High Street. Staff are very helpful. Room was large and a very good size bathroom with a walk in shower. Parking also available in their own underground car park with a lift to all floors. There some very good restaurants within a short walk from the hotel (0.2 miles)

The staff are Fantastic, helpful informative and fun.
Definatley recommend staying here if you come to Reykjavik.

It's closer city center! There is best coffee shop near Hotel if you wanna get good cafe & peace time!

The hotel is a typical city-centre hotel fairly close to the centre of Reykjavik. Walking might take 15 to 20 minutes but we preferred to take a taxi. There are some budget restaurants nearby and a bus station.
The hotel was clean and bright with welcoming staff but be careful with the front door — it self closed and could easily take your hand off! It needs a hydraulic damper mechanism.
Lots of information for tourists in the lobby.
We had an early breakfast at 03:45 no problem, before leaving for the airport at Keflavik.

I found the room I was in to be very clean. The breakfast was like a continental breakfast where you feed yourself. Staff was helpful and friendly, the location is ideal for exploring the inner city and water front. Surrounding buildings need some up keep and gives you that creepy bad neighborhood feeling. I didn't understand why two single beds are pushed together with two separate blankets to make one big bed? Other than that weirdness the bed was comfortable. Windows didn't open too much, so that could improve but over all, it was an enjoyed experience and would recommend to anyone visiting. Would be nice if there was a restaurant for an evening meal or a pub of some sort. That would really set it off right. All in all, its a nice place, … quaint :)

The rooms are clean and efficient. It's near the major shopping area. The bar is acceptable. It would be nice if they had a food option at night.

Small European style rooms. Complimentary continental breakfast offered in the morning. It's a quiet hotel near the center of the city, it's a short (10 minute) walk.

We loved our stay at Klettur Hotel. Banu was the sweetest, most accomodating employee ever! She made our stay a treat! Close to the main street — very clean and nice. Breakfast was AWESOME!

We stayed at this hotel from March 3 to March 6, 2016. The room was clean and comfortable, not luxurious but certainly enough as a base for visiting the city and surrounding locations. The included daily bleakest was better than most of other Europeans cities I have visited. The heated, well lit and free parking garage was a big plus. The entrance to the garage is a bit nerve wrecking, especially if you are driving a stick shift car. It is located at a convenient location for visiting the downtown area and go out of town. The staff at the front desk was friendly and very helpful, like almost all Icelanders we met during our trip to this beautiful country. You cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Awesome service, however check in time is at 2 PM and you can't partake in their breakfast buffet until you can check in. We got upgraded to the 6th floor which had a beautiful view of the mountains of Akranes. Breakfast had a variety of Nordic food to choose from minus the fish roe in a tube. They have fresh baked bread every time.

Upon arrival, we were treated shamefully by counter staff. Never been treated with such disrespect in a hotel setting. Room was clean, breakfast good, location decent. Reykjavik was wonderful. Experience was crippled by the rude and mocking remarks we 1st received.

We were travelling with a baby. On the first evening, we had to change rooms twice — the first allocated room did not have a cot for the baby and the second one had a dysfunctional refrigerator (which means it would have been difficult to prepare baby formula, etc). However, once these were sorted out, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are minimalistic, but functional and the staff and friendly and willing to help. The hotel is walking distance from Laugavegur which is the downtown area.

Modern hotel, very well located just to the edge of Central Reykjavík, spacious rooms, comfortable mattresses, perfect temperature and the very spacious bathroom. All clean, friendly staff, breakfast. Everything perfect, isn't it?
Everything, unfortunately not no Wi-Fi in the hotel for the price that is paid could be expected, but there is only at the reception. A great failure.
Just for that, I would go to another.

Basic but ideally located for Reykjavik and touring the Golden Circle, The breakfast is very simple and can be busy.
