Loved my stay here! Great clean hotel with quick service. The entire stay here was great. Everything is modern and the neighborhood is so interesting even bough it may seem boring at first. It's like nothing I've seen and it's much different than the United States and any other European town I've visited. It's very close to the water as well (you wouldn't expect that), about a 5-10 minute walk. It's also close to that industrial area for cargo ships. In addition to that, on the other side it as a beautiful view of the far out mountains and the Islandic plains. Great and unique experience!

Staff was friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and secure, and felt very homey. Would definitely return here if we came back to iceland.

Small room yet effective. Very confy bed and pillows. Tv had only 8 channels. The shower had low pressure for the hot water and unfortunately they couldn't fix during my staying. Breakfast was good, only cold food though.

A good hotel if you want quiet and off the beaten path. Everything is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly.

Very roomy room for two people when I stayed. Very nice modern looking ambiance. Convenient location near the airport and Blue Lagoon. Very nice overnight stay.

Quite and comfortable hotel. The price is on par with other hotels close by. Blue lagoon is a short drive away, they also offer a shuttle service. There are a variety of (healthy) options for breakfast. The staff working here are helpful and available at any time of the day. My room was room was clean and well stocked on arrival. There isn't much going on in Grindavik, so it would only make sense to stay here if you have a car.

Stayed here after blue lagoon the night before our early morning flight. It's an airport hotel really, nothing more. Free coffee in the morning. Sizable bathroom with a nice shower. Small room space but a comfortable bed. Easy trip to KEF from here.

It was close to the airport, and the Blue lagoon. It has good distance between them. The hotel itself was nice, the beds and services were all good. It also came with breakfast, a decent price for a night stay.

Great stay! Extremely good and helpful staff. Awesome experience. Must stay if you're visiting blue lagoon or looking to stay somewhere nearby airport.

It's quaint, nothing out of this world, but its wonderful staff who from the moment you walk into the hotel treat you with unbelievably care and respect. Thank you Margaret and Josep, my first visit to Grindavik, will not be my last.

A truly fantastic hotel to stay in. Really close to the Blue Lagoon. The rooms are so clean and there are always complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby. The staff are truly amazing! We were treated so well by the staff and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Margaret is front of house and is a true credit to the company, we didn’t feel we were in a hotel but rather in a friends accommodation as she was so attentive. ❤️ Thor looked after the crazy Welsh girls as well. Till the next time xxxxx.

We had the most amazing experience in Iceland made extra special by the fantastic hospitality at this hotel. The staff are so nice and helpful. The hotel is lovely and clean and I would recommend to anyone to stay here. Nothing is to much trouble. Thank you Margaret and Thor you are both fantastic. Grindavik is a lovely place xxh.

It surely deserves the highest star… even before arriving to this enchanting isle… the hosts take care of YOU as they did before arriving by having answered all of my questions. Once here, the care on the part of all was and continues to be extraordinary… thank you to such an excellent staff! Happy to have celebrated my mega birthday here with you all… and of course, the Blue Lagoon.

Good location away from Reykjavik, easy to get to Blue Lagoon. Breakfast included, continental,. Rooms clean, had the family room which just big enough with adults and under 16. Good restaurants near by walking distance and a netto supermarket next door and petrol station across the road.

A very comfortable hotel in the middle of a small village. When you see it on the outside you don't seem to be in such a fine, comfortable, clean and pleasant place. A suepr heating. Hair dryer. The beds… had never slept in places with those mattresses. The price is very negotiable. The breakfast… something hot is missing (bacon, scrambel eggs) but it has a very varied assortment of sausages, yoghurts, biscuits, cereals, breads, homemade jams… very highly recommended. Very nice people. Very quiet and clean place.

Great location next to grocery store, restaurants and near Blue Lagoon. Short drive from KEF airport. Newer hotel with included breakfast. Would recommend for an Iceland stopover or when driving the golden circle.

Nice clean rooms in a great location. And only a 10 minute drive from the blue lagoon. We had a early flight to catch in the morning and the staff were more than happy to set up breakfast for us leaving.

A nice hotel with decent accommodations. Nothing amazing but nothing lacking either. The rooms are small but fit into the European style nicely. Desk personnel were helpful and would make calls to help with arrangements; there is no phone in the room and we don't speak Icelandic so this was helpful as everyone speaks English — just at varying levels of fluency. I think our only disappointment was that the hotel has only five TV channels, and none local to Iceland. Oh, I almost forgot the best part. There is a restaurant, convenience store, a grocery store, and a drug store next to the Geo Hotel and at least three other places to eat within about a half mile walk. A nice place to stay.

We were here for just one night on the last day of our holiday as it was fairly close to both the airport and the Blue Lagoon. Room was very nice, everything looked almost brand new. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but it did the job. There is a supermarket next door which can cater for your food needs anyway, plus there are apparently some decent restaurants in town. Grindavik itself is fairly quiet, not much to see or do here other than the Blue Lagoon, so for longer stays in Iceland you could probably find a better base of operations. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service to the Blue Lagoon, which is very useful, saves a taxi fare. Overall, not bad for shorter trips or if you just want to spend a day at the spa.

Perfectly adequate. Clean, quiet, affordable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to all the amenities and restaurants in Grindavik.

This is an adorable little town outside of Reykjavik. Do not stay here if aren't renting a car from the airport. It will cost to get here. We ate at one of the recommended spots papa's pizza. A good pizza with a locals feel. The room was perfect for the night but not much to do in the town.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Clean, comfortable. Great to experience another Icelandic town outside of Reyjavik. Walk to many local areas of interest.

Friendly staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Located close to the blue lagoon and keflavik airport. Staff kindly arranged an early breakfast for us and a few other guests (at 4.30am) as we had a early flight.

Interesting idea great experience. Very long entrance line to get in try to buy your pass in advance like a week, too many visitors.

A very warm welcome from the moment we stepped in. Helpful, and easy, check in and comfy rooms which are well equipped for the price we paid. Breakfast was relatively simple, but as much as you liked, the only downside was that there were no waffles. The rooms are of a decent size, warm, comfortable and clean. The open plan storage made checking for left items really easy. The bathroom was a wet room and well maintained. There was little, to no noise from outside the building although early in the morning I could hear guests knocking on other doors in the same corridor. Overall, a very pleasant stay for the last night in Iceland. A word of caution, the hotel has no evening meal service so plan to eat elsewhere for dinner.

Great hotel, good location, close to restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was good too. They have a shuttle service that can take you to the blue lagoon.

A good utilitarian hotel close to Kevlavik Airport and the Blue Lagoon. Stayed for one night in a comfortable room. Tea coffee making facilities provided free of charge. Allowed to take room towel to the Blue Lagoon and thus avoid the exorbitant charge levied for towels at the resort. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I stayed at the Geo Hotel for 7 nights. I arrived early and they gave me a room as soon as one was available, which was very nice of them! LOCATION Grindavik is small and out of the way. It is nearby hiking and beautiful landscapes, but does not have many options if you want to have dinner or buy things close by. The proximity to the airport and the Blue Lagoon are nice (and the hotel will give you taxis to/from the airport for free! ), but if you plan to spend time in Reykjavik you will really need a car. SERVICE I was pleased with the service, which was consistently friendly and prompt. The front desk only had one person at a time, which sometimes meant waiting for assistance, but the wait was generally short. The rooms were kept clean, and housekeeping was fairly flexible about coming later on occasion. ROOMS The rooms were fairly small, but not uncomfortably so. I wish there had been more storage, as there were not really any drawers for clothes. The bed was roomy and the mattress was comfortable, but I personally found the seersucker fabric of the duvet cover and pillow cases somewhat unpleasant to the touch. My three companions did not, so take that with a grain of salt. The bathroom was fine and the water pressure and temperature were consistently great. It even comes with a towel heater! I thought the rooms could get rather stuffy in summer — opening the window helped a bit, but if you prefer sleeping in a cold room like me then it's worth keeping in mind.

Nice new hotel. Very good service from the staff. Served us great breakfast at 4:00am. Convenient to airport but not to Reykjavik.

A nice and quiet hotel in the little village of Grindavik. Excellent and very friendly staff who had no trouble catering for gluten intolerance. Also they took the time to advice on local sights (Gunnuhver is very impressive), restaurants and the best times to set off on trips to Geysir and Gullfoss. The hotel is quite central with the international airport at Keflavik only 20 minutes away, Reykjavík 45 minutes away, and most importantly, the Blue Lagoon only 8 minutes away by car. Together with free uncomplicated parking and free Wi-Fi throughout makes this hotel worth at least 5 stars.
