It’s our first trip here. Lovely and clean room. Was ready early so we could check in early after a very early flight.

The hotel has a remarkable location! It is very close to restaurants and nice shopping, plus there are many points of interest for tourists. The young ladies at the front desk are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are a joy to deal with. The breakfast was also very well done.

The hotel was great the only thing is the beds were very small and uncomfortable. The Staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. To sum it up They were just awesome.

Great location! Very nice staff. We had one the smaller rooms with twin beds. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We didn't know breakfast was included until we checked out. Also, there was a serious billing error when we checked out. The front desk staff didn't have authority to fix it. Management was not currently in the hotel. And it was unknown when management would return. We had to email management to rectify the situation since we are in the USA. Still waiting for a response.

Happy hour was one of the cheapest we found in the city. Food during happy hour was delicious. Our servers were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely go again if I come back.

You might want to try the local beer and lamb sandwitch hotell restaurant. Yum. If you want to go some excursion, you can do those reservaations this hotell reseption. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Reykjavik Centrum while on our honeymoon. Upon arrival to our room, there was a handwritten card to us from the staff wishing us a happy honeymoon. We both thought that was a very kind gesture. The hotel itself is centrally located right in Reyjkavik — — lots of things to do within walking distance. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, also upon arrival, we realized this hotel does not offer free parking. The parking lot across the street (which is almost always full) had a meter that did not work. The hotel staff told us that the city "took away their parking" six months ago and that we could park a few blocks away. At the time, I was in a cast, and I was unable to walk a few blocks, especially in the pouring rain. That was disappointing. The room was small, but that's typical for Iceland. Tiny TV and creaky old window. The electricity only worked when the card was plugged into the wall, that was kind of odd. The food was outrageously priced, even for Icealndic standards, the breakfast buffet was around $40 USD per person. Hotel Reykjavik Centrum was a nice, unique place to stay. Even with some of the not-so-great experiences, we overall enjoyed this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a great breakfast in a perfect location for Old Reykjavik. Room was pretty hot, even with the heating OFF and no air conditioning outside of mid summer. Reasonable food and happy hour drinks (by Icelandic standards).

My wife and I stayed with you on, hopefully, our first of many trips to Iceland. We can not say enough great things about the staff. Great people who helped my wife and I to have the most memorial time of our lives. We were truly saddened to leave. Thank you again 10 out of 5 stars.

Amazing staff, super helpful and friendly. Beautiful rooms, clean all around, great amenities. This hotel is in the perfect area to explore downtown Reykjavik. It has two connected restaurants, next door to a museum, across from late night food spots, walking distance to multiple Bars, restaurants, and shops (souvenir, grocery, clothing ect). Over all 12/10 would stay again.

Loved this place. Everything you need in a hotel wrapped up in a beautiful environment and friendly employees close to a lot of cool places and food and … I could go on forever. Also, the building has history!

Ideal location in front of the city Hall and a lake and 2 minutes from downtown. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. Great attention and there are Spaniards who serve you very kindly, as for example Lara de Antequera.

Professional staff and fine restaurant. Comfortable rooms. However some rooms are close to street and there are sound of snow tires at all hours. Ask for room away from street.

Clean with great service. Bathroom floors were heated which was a nice surprise. I recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was also nice although the shower is small (as most European hotels) but has a hair dryer. The breakfast provided was delicious and had ALL the options. Best of all is the location. Close to everything! One block from Bus Stop 1 for excursion pick-ups.

Very nice hotel with a good bar and well furnished rooms. Didn't try any food so cannot comment on that but it did look good. Location is excellent and is definitely the hotels strongest selling point.

Awesome location, being in walking distance to nearly everything, including sites and restaurants. The heater gets really warm, the Wi-Fi is reliable and fast, the room is a good size, and the restaurant (ate at the bar/cafe) was really good and a reasonable price (by Icelandic measures). The beds were not comfortable at all though with springy mattresses and lumpy and really flat pillows.

Nice boutique hotel, very clean and very well located. We came in high season and the prices (around US$200) per night are in my opinion too high. Although the staff is very kind and helpful, the quality of the pillows (too thin) and cover sheets (polyester) leave certain room for improvement. We were accommodated in a separate building outside of the hotel and the fish market restaurant next door (which is an excellent venue for dining) makes use of a small cabinet in the same building which caused some noise late at night after closing. In the end, we had a great time staying here but considering the price I would have expected more.

The best location! To be in a Nordic country the rooms are spacious, and it is very new. Stuck to the most touristy places.

We have just returned from an excellent 4 day trip to Hotel Reykjavik Centrum. The staff are incredible friendly, happy to offer advice and help with any needs. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The location is perfect right in the heart of downtown near all the shops and bars. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the heart of the city, we will definitely stay there again should be find ourselves in Reykjavik.

My stay at the hotel was arranged through my local travel agent where I was able to get a fantastic deal on the room price. The hotel is in a perfect location; only a short walk to most of the go to tourist attractions and the building was modern in the typical Icelandic style. Breakfast came at an extra cost but wasn't much, and more than worth the price; buffet set up of continental and cooked breakfast. The restaurant and bar were warm and welcoming rooms and came with a good drinks and food menu. My room was a fair size, clean and tidy. The room comes with lots of little extras to make your stay easier; toiletries, sewing kit, safe, dry cleaning facilities… Very handy. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, there is always someone available on reception and they are quick to help and offer advice. The stay was nearly perfect, the only thing that puts me off coming back was the noise from the room above. The floor was wooden so every step sounds like a stamp; you can hear chairs being dragged around and bags dropped constantly if your neighbors are as active as mine were. It's a shame because it can't really be helped; is a room and people have to walk around in it, but it really does come through when you're sat below it. Other than that the stay was fantastic; if I could come back and stay on the second floor I'd have no hesitation… Of course then it would be my footsteps prompting this criticism, wouldn't it…

Very well located to visit the city. Close to places of interest. Of shopping area and restaurants. Good attention. Very comfortable rooms. If you rent a car there are cerva areas that are not paid for parking.

Bright, clean, hotel in the center of town. Easy walking distance to the waterfront and close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Helpful staff.

Friendly, helpful staff and a clean place but very bare bones with very small rooms. Felt like I was on a boat. Adequate lodging but more like a chain motel. The room gave onto a road with traffic going by fairly frequently. Temperature control seemed to be by opening a window to the trafficked street. No soap in the bathroom and a very compact shower.

Clean and decent. Grest location. Helpful staff. Definitely not modern feeling (old bath fixtures, budget toiletries, less than stellar breakfast offering) but it seems like they're in the process of making some upgrades (like new carpets) so maybe will be better in the future?

Well located hotel, well presented. Got an "upgrade" to a room without proper shower and a leaking shower head. Wifi did not reach the room. Staff lacked knowledge about airport transfers. The free tea and coffee to make up for the carpet work were cold. Did not feel like value for money.

Lovely hotel in a great location but such a shame about the staff. Reception is curt at best generally rude and disparaging when they can be. Not at all helpful. All the other staff are great though. Food in the restaurant is great and decently priced.

Nice room, whose Größe is for 2 persons in order. Tea making facilities, room for 2 pieces of luggage, small desk. Clean as often in old houses. Since we had a room at the end of the corridor, the noise kept within limits.

Really enjoyed the stay! I stayed for 3 nights, and it was a small and quaint room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast is nice! The breakfast has eggs, bacon, beans, bread, jam, etc. — your typical European breakfast. They also have great coffee at this hotel! The location is terrific — you're smack dab in the middle of Reykjavik which is great if you want to check out restaurants, or if you want to go for a quick jog. They have a restaurant next door called Fish Market which is fabulous.

Stayed for 5 nights. Location is obviously fine, and all basic functions is OK (incl. Free internet). Still I will just give 3 stars. The room (under roof) was too small (compared to other at same price), and I had to re-live analog TV (from 90'es) with bad antenna signal and only uninteresting (free? ) channels.

Boutique hotel in a great location. Recently renovated and extremely clean, I though this as by far the best hotel for the money in downtown. We skipped the in hotel breakfast but it looked great. Gave us a free upgrade to a suite, had no problem checking in 6 hours early. Walking distance to everything you would want to see in the downtown area.
