Basic but in a great location. I'm a very anxious person and worry about not knowing where I'm going etc. The staff were so amazing, sorting trips, confirming my transfers and directing me. I would 100% stay here again just because of how the staff made my anxiety stay at bay! can't thank them enough.

I guess they just overbooked — I had a reservation for a junior suite, confirmed on the 4th floor, including a nice balcony.
On checkin I received the keys for a apartment in a different building and was told this was an upgrade as I wanted a quite room and the suite would have been above the bar (which is in the basement).
The apartment was rotten, small and poorly cleaned, and directly above a bodega — you could hear the music loud and clear in the bedroom. We complained and finally cancelled the booking, as they had no other vacant rooms. Bad habit, the could have mailed me a day before when being overbooked. Anyway, try to find another hotel Saturday evening in downtown took me 2 hours — thanks for wasting my time.
Stay away if you can, those people are rip-off artist!

Cozy and contemporary atmosphere.

Very nice boutique hotel. Great location walking distance to everything in Reykjavik. Friendly efficient staff. Comfortable bed. Very small bathroom to the point that taking a shower is not comfortable. Breakfast buffet served at Snaps is good but overpriced.

Our favorite place to stay in Reykjavik. Central location, fantastic and professional folks staffing, Snaps for dining adjoins.

Great location! Our room was kind of small but we didn't spend a lot of time in it, so no big deal. Clean and comfy! Our window was on the side where the restaurant is so that was kind of noisy overnight. Otherwise, no real complaints.

Expensive but Iceland is. Nice staff room and breakfast.

Pretty standard apartments (2 BR, 1 BA, Kitchen, LR) with an admittedly great location, but lessened by the general smell of "horse barn" throughout.

A basic but cosy and clean Hotel in great location. Highly recommended! I would stay here again.

Its not luxery, but clean, comfortable and warm. Carpark across the way, but pretty busy. Snap bar is lively, and friendly. Breakfast is nice and quite extensive selection for an inclusive continental.

Fantastic home and especially hotel very very well located 2 steps from the historic center a flat for breakfast which could be more diversified but really excellent hotel.

Extremely noisy, staff is not accommodating at all, no parking. My fiancee and I had to get up pretty early to go to a tour we had booked months ago. We wanted to go to bed at 10:30pm but were unable to for over 2 hours because the hotel has paper thin walls and a very loud restaurant. When I talked to the staff about moving rooms just to sleep they said no. When I asked for a partial refund they said no (rudely). The staff member told me “it is a part of Icelandic life for the restaurant to be loud and I would have to get use to it”. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to pay a lot of money to not sleep and walk 10 mins to get your car. They claim to be a 4 star hotel but I would not believe this for one second.

Good facilities, sumptuous breakfast, bit not so clean.

Sonja was incredibly helpful. Our airline lost our luggage & she directed us to help us replace some needed items. She _ all the front desk people were very knowledgeable about the tours. Rooms & bed were very comfortable & clean. We'd recommend it to our family & friends.

Great hotel! It's close enough to the city center area to walk around yet far enough away from the hustle and noise. Our room was spacious with a great view of Hallgrimskirkja. The bathroom was also a decent size. We skipped the breakfast next door because it seemed a little overpriced, but there are plenty of cafes nearby. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and gave us many helpful recommendations.

A very conveniently located hotel. Good sized rooms with all the amenities you would expect in a 4 star. Only issue is the bathroom is a little dated and could do with modernising. The staff are pleasant, the beds are comfortable and rooms are warm.

Warm welcome and the Staff have been amazing. Very attentive and offers of help. We had breakfast there and it was a lovely and calm atmosphere. Breakfast was done right in front of the breakfast bar. When I go back, it will definitely be on my list again.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the main shopping streets and the waterfront. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size with good facilities, not that you should spend much time there, as there's so much to see and do in Reykjavik and beyond!

The place is located strategically from bus stop, stores and restaurants. The receptionist is helpful and friendly. Neat and clean bedroom. Can accommodate triplets beds.

Great location, kind and accommodating staff, comfortable beds, clean. The rooms are on the small side and tour buses can't pick up here so you have to walk 5 minutes to a bus stop. This is a Reykjavik rule, not the fault of the hotel but is some to consider when planning.

Good location, with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and tidy and it was easy to find street parking out front. The hotel restaurant, Snaps, was great too, with a lively friendly atmosphere.

Loved it. The rooms are designed to be minimal but with everything that you need. Staff was helpful and kind. I slept very well here and the showers were great too.

Nice hotel located near downtown Reykjavik. It's within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. Service was good. I'd recommend staying here.

Hotel was very neat and clean! Staff were very polite and helpful. Our suite was cozy and cute! The location was also a plus — — we were able to walk to almost everywhere! Definitely would recommend to everyone!

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Nice rooms. Everything to satisfaction! Also, we happened to crash a staff party on our first night down at the bar. We had no clue this was a staff only evening and the bar was in fact closed. They invited us in and treated us like one of their own. We met lots of kind and pleasant people that night. Experience was simply amazing. One of my fondest memories from Iceland!

Had the family room. It was nice and roomy, and the location is convenient. The family room windows look out on the street (at sidewalk level), which means all blinds had to be down for privacy.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, the staff are very friendly and very helpful. great location very handy for shops and restaurants. room was very nice and the beds are very comfortable.

The staff was very helpful and nice. They were able to hold our bags until check in, and provided us with local sites to visit. The room was really cool and modern, with shades to draw some it never became night time.

I had a single room on the front of the hotel with a view into town. My room was clean and just right for me. Small bathroom with nice shower, towel heating rack. The staff was great. They were friendly and easy to work with. They all spoke English which was helpful to me. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The location was right in the middle of everything I wanted to see. The cathedral, the shopping district and walking distance to Old Reykjavik and the museums. Good restaurants in walking distance as well as a nice (popular) one attached to the hotel. If I get back to Iceland, I will stay at Hotel Odinsve.

The location is perfect, close to everything. It is a calm place. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are clean and comfy.

Cute hotel with great wall art. The shower in this place was one of the best over ever had in a hotel. Great location too.

We stayed for a couple of nights and we were quite pleased with the quality and convenience for the price. The breakfast included is excellent. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful.

Hotel not far is the pub and restaurant mile of Reykjavic, is middle in there quickly, it is not far to the port. The room and bathroom was newly renovated, every day very well made, breakfast OK and for the day of departure, there was a lunch package.
Below the House is a restaurant where the smokers facing door, the talk there and laugh. This bothers who, which should be a room after back get (or another hotel), has but then (as of 2. Stock) no sea-view more. I was very satisfied.

Service was great but location, which central, can be loud due to bars and restaurants nearby. Our beds were too soft, bad for back support. And pieces fell off things, like door handles and faucet handles. No parking, so if you are driving you have to park blocks away.

Fantastic, clean modern rooms, very well located, walking distance (about 10mins walk) to the harbour for the whale watching/northern lights tours and 5 minutes to the iceland excursion office Friendly staff, would definately come back!
