I have travelled the world staying in many hotels but never experienced such a welcoming and accommodating stay at I have at 22 Hill. I can’t find the words to explain how lovely, kind and just amazing the owner of the hotel is, I can’t remember her name but she went above and beyond to make mine and my brother stay a special one. I was In Iceland celebrating my birthday and when I got to the room I had a bottle of Prosecco left for me. We had a bad experience with a tour company (nothing to do with the hotel) but the owner went above and beyond to rectify our problem and then drive us out next excursion, it made us feel incredible special. All the receptions were amazing each one helped us and nothing was ever to much trouble, all were so knowledgable. Special shout out to Ann. She spent so much of her time arraigning things for us to do. The hotel is amazing inside and very modern, had such a good nights sleep. The food was delicious, I can’t find a bad word to say about 22 Hill. I will 100% being going back. I give them a 10/10 THANK YOU.

Charming hotel a few walking minutes to the center of town. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bath. On every floor, there is a coffee and tea service at your disposal. Can be accessed by bus from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel. I will book here again on my next adventure in Iceland.

Lovely hotel and staff. Stayed on the way and way back (27th Sept & 6/10) from my memorable road trip this Autumn!

We booked a triple room for our stay in Reykjavik. This was perfect since none of us wanted to share a bed. 22 Hill was very accommodating in allowing us to request early check in upon our arrival. By the time we returned from breakfast, our room was ready for us. It was surprisingly spacious and extremely clean (even under the beds). The bathroom had a corner shower with great water pressure and hot water. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were extremely friendly and helpful. Both Angelica and Albert were amazing. You can book the day excursions through the hotel. Continental breakfast is included (toast, jam, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruits, veggies, lunch meat and cheese. ) I can't recommend 22 Hill enough! Thanks for great and reasonably priced accommodations during our stay.

Lovely clean hotel, friendly staff and a 15 minute walk into town. Shame not a kettle in room but that's a minor thing. Rooms are a good size as well.

An older but well kept hotel located a bit away (but easily walkable) from the downtown district. A modern style remodel nicely fits. The breakfast buffet was fine but I'd look elsewhere as the dinner was average.

We stayed in room 202. Very small and bad Wi-Fi. I enjoyed the free breakfast. Front desk was very knowledgeable about the area and always provided good info.

Hotel very close to the center equipped with simple but manicured bedroom. Very clean bathroom. IN-room TV and Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed. Recommended.

Nice hotel redone on the heights of the city, seen in the morning on the mountains and the harbor… the staff were very friendly and helpful.

So as an Icelander at this Hotel. Here is my review. Great location. "Are you kidding" breakfast. It was bad. It took for hours to get the shower hot at third floor. Great staff. I would look at more options… Tex.

Very good hotel. The price is reasonable considering it is the capital. The attention was very good, it was our last night in Iceland and we were given a room facing the bay and with mountain visits. The room was spacious and bright and the bed was very comfortable, which you would appreciate the last day of travelling. The team of reception was very friendly and the location is perfect, you are a 10 minute walk from the city centre, and quite close to the connection of the freeway going towards the airport. So it would be easier to go to the airport and not take queues.

This Hotel has friendly staff and rooms that are clean and comfortable. We loved our stay here. Also, a nice breakfast was included in our booking at the attached restaurant! Easily walkable to all of downtown Reykjavik.

A wonderful stay. The staff all three at the front desk, Umer (waves in English, I am sure this is not the correct spelling) The young man whose name translates to Robin in English, but please don't call him Robin :) Sorry I can't remember your Icelandic name and Angelica. They were wonderful, they worked with my girls to help me celebrate my birthday. Went out of their way to surprise me. This is a birthday I will always remember thanks to them♥ The hotel is situated walking distance to downtown. They offered suggestions on what I should visit. I took their advise and was not disappointed. I do plan on returning to Iceland and when I do my stay will be at 22 Hill Hotel. Thanks for everything.

Wonderful and attentive hotel staff. Rooms were good but shower cubicle slightly on the small side. Perfect if your doing excursions as they can pick you up straight from the hotel, other places don't do that. They hotel restaurant food was amazing! Try the fish (catch of the day).

Great spot with easy access to the main street and museum. The staff are very helpful and makes you feel welcome. They went out of their way to help my daughters in Canada to get a special birthday message to me. It included them having to go to the chocolatier and buy chocolates and a card. I was stunned and touched by all the did. I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are kept clean, the location is Ideal (it is near the city centre and on most tour bus pick up routes). The reception staff are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is an experience to remember. There is a restaurant in the hotel that is very reasonable (breakfast for residents is free)

We had a great week at 22 Hill. The location is about 20 minutes walk from the main tourist spots in Reykjavik, and close to a Kronan for "on the go" food. Our room had a double bed (two singles pushed together), and a private bathroom. What we felt was lacking was a mini fridge in our room so we could store food rather than going to restaurants daily. Breakfast was provided by the restaurant connected to the hotel (buffet consisting of meats, vegetables, bread and cheese). Coffee and tea available on each floor. Front desk staff was very friendly and helped us out with some of our excursions.

A small and friendly hotel which is located not too far from the centre of Reykjavik. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Cold breakfast buffet was fine and the restaurant served some good food in the evening. Front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Would happily recommend this hotel for a short break.

22 hill hotel is a very nice and clean hotel and the staff is awesome. They prepared a Sandwich for us because we left so early that we missed breakfast. Thumbs up. And they offer free Coffee and tea. If you have any questions just ask the staff… They will help you.

Nice room, nice staff, great breakfast in the adjoining restaurant. As usual in Iceland, you could order a packed lunch on the day of departure. (If you couldn't have breakfast)

This place is ok. For the price it is great, but you get what you pay for. My queen bed was two twins pushed together. At least clean and more quiet than hotels on main street downtown. The staff is very nice and helpful, even if a trek to get anywhere. Plan your transportation before you arrive, last minute can be very difficult. The view of the water is the best!

Very attentive and helpful staffs. I had booked a tour and was scheduled for pick up from the hotel at 7am so I asked for breakfast pack cause we could not have breakfast at the hotel as they only serve breakfast from 7am onwards. The receptionist was very kind and went extra mile to asked the kitchen to prepare foods before 7am so that we could enjoy our breakfast at the hotel before we leave for the tour. I must say that that was a very kind gesture even without us asking her to do so. The staffs at the restaurant are very attentive and friendly. Beds are comfortable. Some drawbacks are as follows. Firstly, the sound proof is not very good so you could hear noise from the roads and also from the other occupants of the hotel. Secondly, the shower is relatively small and the drainage in the shower is stuck as you shower so the water level keeps going up.

Amazing customer service. The rooms were huge and very quiet. When we arrived both twin were together to form a bed. The desk lady went up herself, changed the sheets and made two twin beds. I would stay here again many times over.

Great service and nice rooms. The breakfast was also really good. Short distance from city center. Only downside was that our shower door in our bathroom would not work properly.

Staff extremely attentive and professional. Very helpful at any request for help and support. You can ask for practically any kind of assistance for taxis, excursions, info of all kinds. Good!

This hotel is conveniently located and not a far walk from tourist spots in Reykjavik. Reception is very helpful and has great tips on everything. Free breakfast in the morning is a treat. If I'm ever in town, I'd definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay in Reykjavik. A great location only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and friendly and helpful staff. What more could you want?

Staffs are friendly and helpful. We arrived at 7am without notifying the hotel of the early arrival, but was still able to check in since there was a room available. The room is basic. Bed, bed side tables, dresser, two chairs and another small side table. No closet, but clothing rack on top of the dresser. Shower is tiny! Elbow to elbow. But cannot complain for the price. Hotel is far from downtown (~10 minutes drive). Would not recommend if you want to be more central.

Good location, nice staff, nice restaurant but poor breakfast, smaill room and not good bed.

I was here last year. Very good hotel. One minus was that I wanted to come here this year as well, but when I am going to Iceland on that date its sold out for singlerooms, but there was many doublerooms avileble, and normally when a hotel have sold out their singlerooms you can still book a singleroom and pay for a singleroom but you will get a room with two beds, but in this hotel this was not possible, I could get a doubleroom and pay doubleroom price if I wanted to even I was just one person, so I booked an other place this year, so I have to say that I was a little bit dissapointed for this because this is not common hotel service anywhere else where I have been.

You will not regret staying at Hotel Bjork. Its competitive with the price and has all the amenities one could ask for — clean, quiet rooms, a decent breakfast, and high speed internet. That said, there is nothing about Hotel Bjork that makes it outstanding. Still, its a safe choice for a night in Reykjavik.

Clean, 20mins walk to touristy area. As we need to check out earlier, breakfast was packed for us, perfect service!

I stayed here at the end of October 2014 and this was the worest hotel ever! The room was smelly. I stayed at the hotel for 3nights with my husband and during the night it was very cold so I asked them for an blanket and they gave me a thin fabric! never staying here again.

Decent middle-tier hotel that was clean and quiet. Breakfast is a standard continental buffet. Walking distance to the centre of the city, and a cab is 1500-2000 ISK. It is also a lovely walk along the promenade. Free on-street parking, although it might be a bit of a battle during a weekday since there are many businesses around.

The hotel is a city hotel in Reykjavik not far from the Centre. The rooms are clean, large and quiet. The staff was always friendly and flexible. We took breakfast in the hotel only to us. Was good. Everything in the all hotel is recommended. Again and again.

Stayed a week here as a family of three in a triple room. Found it clean and the beds were so comfortable. Got a bit noisy outside with traffic from about 06:30am as we slept with the windows open. Breakfast was continental with no cooked option (other than toast and pre-boiled eggs). This was OK for us and ensured we didn't have to rush to get it before it started congealing in those heated compartmentalised trays found in most hotels these days. The staff were helpful and if you needed anything you just had to ask — e. G. Extra pillows. Most staff spoke excellent English. Although the beds were made, bathroom cleaned and towels changed on most days, I would have liked the room to have had a quick whizz round with the hoover mid way through the week; we seemed to shed so much hair it looked like we were growing our own pet! The walk into the town centre was OK (about fifteen minutes) and the view from the room not brilliant although the restaurant window tables were good for this. We would have liked a more inviting guest lounge area with maybe a free tea/coffee making facilities as in the rooms. There was a computer with internet access which guests could use free of charge. Wasn't our intended hotel but overall a very pleasant stay.

Thought this was a great value for money hotel. We stayed during the eruption and had to book another night, the staff told me to book it on their website rather than at the desk as it would be cheaper. only a short, if very bracing, walk into town.
