Super service, good location and the rooms are according to the price. Beautiful quiet and practical areas for working and chilling.

Best hostel I've been in Budapest. Clean, nice people, cheap. And nice bathrooms.

Good for backpackers, there is air conditioning, quite, accessible to every thing, near the one of the largest Synagogue, metro, Tramway, buses.

Perfect location, and very friendly staff.

Love it. Perfect for backpackers. It's right by the centre of everything and the staff is friendly. Well equipped and safe place to stay. Can't find any faults. It was a nice get away and value for money. Wish to come back again in 3 years for another backpack trip.

Very clean and tidy, but not as social of a hostel as I expected. There was a hostel bar crawl but it didn’t have any games or so, just walked around together. So would defo recommend checking out one of many Budapest’s other bar crawls instead. But aside from that, the staff were helpful, the rooms were quiet, and the facilities were just what I needed for a long weekend stay :)

This was an amazing stay. Nikki was super sweet and welcoming. She has a very positive energy that radiates through the hostel. Very comfortable rooms and great public lounge!

The first two nights it was a bit tight. For the last two nights we had a cool lodge.

My favorite place to stay in Budapest. Location is perfect. Superb neighborhood. Rooms are great. People in hostel are very nice and helpful.

I love it! Many restaurants and snack bar street food and supermarket nearby. Walking distance to St Stephen Basilica and other attractions. The bed was comfortable with curtain. Rest room is big and clean with rain shower. Taking a bath is enjoyable after a day of walking. The crew was also good to provide info and help that you need.

Everything is cool! friendly staff and other tenants, delicious quality coffee and cream, many types of tea in the kitchen, dishwashers. Debris from the rooms disappeared unnoticed, in the showers there was always soap. The hostel has a pleasant smell and comfortable beds) ) My only wish is that the kitchen has free drinking water and something done with the Wi-Fi. He sometimes messed up and fell.

Super location. Nothing more can be done. Feels in the middle of the scene district. Many bars, pubs and cafes in the area. Equipment is functional and clean. Small points deduction at the sanitary facilities. Thanks to multi-culti guests with different understanding of cleanliness, it doesn't look so optimal there.
All in all, here I will book again and check in with a clear conscience.

It's a great hostel. Friendly staff.

This was one of my favorite stops when travelling Eastern Europe. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Walking distance to many nice restaurants and easy access to transport. I didn't utilize the kitchen to cook but we enjoyed a continental breakfast that was very nice. The only issue I took was the queen size bed only had one pillow.

It is my first time to stay in hostel. I stayed for three days in the four people dorm. The reception are friendly and the room is clean. I didn't use the kitchen but it looks fine. It can be a little bit noisy since it locates right on the bar streets. But they use the sound insulated window so it is not too bad. A bit far from metro and tram (about 600m). Overall I am satisfied.

We rested at the end of April. Room 308, very dirty, hair and dust everywhere. The windows of the room overlook the club side and since the air conditioning does not work, you have to sleep with the window open and listen to the op from the street.

The Mavericks is located in the Jewish quarter. An Ideal place to visit the city.

Clean and modern hostel, with friendly staff! Beds and rooms are spacious and more comfortable than the average hostel. I would say the best bang for buck to stay in a hostel to see Budapest!

Very nice hostel near the Danube River. Very clean and modern with good sleeping quarters for a hostel and a fairly cheap restaurant/bar attached. The one thing stopping a 5 star rating was the Wi-Fi was very unreliable. I had online college work to do and it took much longer because of this. Totally worth it though for $10 a night!

This place I loved, not only for the comfort of the rooms, the bed, pillows etc… But the reception staff is wonderful and in itself the design and common areas are well designed. The Wi-Fi is also very good.

Bad experience, is a modern site, but the cleanliness is a horror in 5 days of stay only changed the first day the towels and we stayed 4 days with the same towels. At reception we complained but didn't have any results.

Nice, cheap hostel in very good location. As it is relatively large and the bathroom is used by a lot of people, the showers could be a bit cleaner, as well as it is conditioned a bit noisy. But these are things I can get at a hostel (it was not bad dirty), everything looks pretty new, the kitchen is big and well equipped, there is free coffee, the staff is friendly, the lockers are very spacious and the curtains before The individual beds darken pretty well, which is quite advantageous in an 8 bed room. In the evening there is always a program, for example you can taste traditional Hungarian drinks. I could recommend the hostel and would come back anytime.

I loved it! Very good attention. The rooms are very nice. It does not come with breakfast, good option to go to find places around, there are where they offer the most varied menus. Next door is good, although not priced with proposal. Better go out and find.

Excellent hotel/hostel. Friendly reception staff always welcoming. Rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable and warm. Restaurant connected (Fat Mama) serves great food. Location is great for those looking to have a bit of fun while in town. My only advice is don't do the pub crawl connected with the hotel. The people running it are terrible and it was sooooo boring, rather try find another one If that's what you are into. I would go back any day! Thanks Maverick.

I stayed 3 nights at the hostel really the staff and Pro the quality of service also top and the rooms are gorgeous as well as the compliance of the beds and well and you can meet the travelers and make the knowledge considering that it has plenty of space to common.

I stayed in a private room and was thrilled with my stay. Perfect location, shared kitchen and lovely staff. The room had a king size bed, towels that you can have changed everyday, a television with English news channels, clean modern bathroom and big opening windows. Just keep in mind you need to pay in cash so come prepared as there are very few bank ATMs in Budapest that will give you a decent exchange rate. Would definitely stay here again.

I would give them all the stars possible ever, so much I liked it there: location, stuff, other tourists around me, accommodations, atmosphere. What I felt there was that they loved what they were doing and they did care about the people.

Fantastic! Highly recommended! Cool and friendly staff, super clean rooms, fully equipped shared kitchen. They upgraded our reservation to a private room for free. You’ll get a lot for small amount of money. Totally worth it. Staying there, made our short trip to the beautiful Budapest much more pleasant.

Great option for solo travellers. I stayed in a very big female dorm, but its interesting layout made it spacious and the beds with curtains provide quite a lot of comfort and privacy. It's like having your own little cubicle. Kitchen facilities are also great.

One of the best boutique hostel / hotel combinations that I have had the pleasure to stay in. The private rooms are super cool with a hipster vibe. The lobby area is really well designed to meet and interact with other travellers. They also arrange daily activities like in the evening for free including food & drink. Free tea, coffee, water and fruit is freely available 24 hours a day. The restaurant attached is super good with some amazing dishes and you’ll also get 15% off for staying. Try the eggs benedict for breakfast. The location is very convenient with lots of cool restaurants and bars close by. Most of the cities good hostels seem to be located in this area.

Negative: Air-conditioning was working way too loud. You cannot turn it off by yourself. Luckily, we didn’t need AC at all. I just asked staff, and they turned it off. Positive: I stayed in the 6-bed dorm. Beside each bed there were 2 power sockets and a curtain, you can literally cave in, close yourself from the rest of the world and be like a totally self-sustainable system). Lockers with keys in the bedroom. Shower cabins are big enough so you can take your things inside, and they won’t get wet. Nice community kitchen with coffee and tea. And nice staff.

We had a modern, big room with an own bathroom for two people. It was very clean. The service was very good for a hostel. They have a kitchen for everybody to use and offer free tea and coffee. The hotel was located in the center and all popular attractions are possible to reach by foot.

Best hostel I've stayed in. Also the cheapest I've stayed in. Clean bedrooms, perfect cubicles rather than bunk beds, large lockers, friendly staff. Toilets and showers were clean too. I'd recommend anyone to stay here.

The hostel has a perfect location in the middle of the Jewish quarter and surrounded by traditionnal restaurants and bars.
The receptionists were all friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and stylishly furnished.

Very nice hostel. We got free upgrade to a room with private bathroom. Staff are very friendly. The hostel common area is cool. Includes a large kitchen with everything you need. Individual room was very nice and clean which in my opinion is the most important thing. The location is absolutely amazing. Walking distance to lots of attractions and a bunch of sweet restaurants. Highly recommend this hostel if you are staying in Budapest.

According to me one of the best place to stay for. Lowcost travellers who are searching for clean and comfortable accomodation in the center of Budapest. Everything is so close from there by walk. Staff there is brilliant, helpful and they provide 15% discount for breakfast or food in their canteen. I will come back here when I go to Budapest again. Excellent experience.

This hostel is absolutely terrible. It feels like cell prison there. There is two men's toilet for whole floor of 10 or so dorm rooms (each with multiple beds). The dorm room temperature can't be controlled, it gets too hot inside. The room was dirty and smelly. There was garbage in the luggage space, and in the floor. Staff is also uncool. Only redeeming feature is this place is next to trendy Jewish district. Ignore this place at all cost if you can.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! Simply Great: * Great location — right in the very center on the Pest side, really close to two metro stations, walking distance from the city's main attractions; * Great staff — friendly, helpful, accommodating. Easy check-in, check-out; * Air-conditioned rooms * You get a decent towel at the reception for no extra; * Perfectly comfortable bunk beds with a feeling of privacy: curtains, personal (and it really is personal) light and electric plug, a decent personal storage place in the room to put away stuff; * Great large kitchen with everything you could possibly need! With grocery stores nearby you can easily cook your meals; * Large storage area in the basement, where you could leave your luggage for the day if you need to check in or check out early; * Large living room at the reception with comfortable sofas, tables and computers with internet for common use; * Nice and friendly atmosphere :) * And they even hold regularly social events for their guests — like a game night, or a dinner Highly recommend! Don't miss :-)

The staff is really great. Room was clean. Clean sheets. Bathroom and showers were also clean. Beds had curtains for privacy. Good location.

Clean and super central location perfect.

I'm not really a hostel person but my stay at Maverick city lodge has opened my mind a bit more to the idea. It is in a great location right next to the Karavan Street food market and a short walk to the center of attractions. The rooms are really great, free lockers with padlocks and the curtains on the beds allow for privacy. The facilities are all kept really clean and there are a lot on offer to use!

Probably the worst place I have stayed on my Europe trip so far. Some of the staff were quite rude. Our room was nothing what it was like in the photos, and the breakfast at fat mama's next door was limited. Not only was there mold all over our shower floor, our room was infested by flying midges for the first night we stayed there. Obviously not wanting to sleep with these bugs we went down stairs to be greeted by an extremely rude lady who had the decency to do bugger all about the issue and made us sleep in the same room for the night. The cleaners finally cleaned the room out the next day (THANK YOU) and got rid of all the bugs, but you would have thought it would have all been checked before allowing a guest to stay in your hostel. The only real positive we had was that it was in a good location but other than that after staying at hostels through out our 6 week Europe trip, we were utterly disappointed with our stay here, and will not be recommending to friends.

Perfect hostel for my trip to Budapest. Seems to be almost new. Great beds (best I have ever tried on a hostel). Very nice staff. The cleaning in the mens bathrooms could be better, but overall a great place to stay. Nice and quiet at night.

Stayed here in a female dorm for 3 nights and it was so nice! We had a group that went to the Budapest Bath party and we tasted Pálinka which was awesome. The room was spacious enough, with 6 beds. So nice have a little curtain as well for privacy, especially when changing etc. It all was so clean and new. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The staff were lovely and there was a place to put your bags for the day before you leave!

I stayed for 6 nights and I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and social-able. Facility very up to date and rooms were very nice. The events that were put on were amazing, it really made you feel like you felt special. Only downsides that I saw were in the bathrooms the lights would turn off because of lack of movement and I was under the assumption that it was fresh linen everyday. Neither of these detracted from my enjoyable stay.
