Good value for money. Lovely staff. Easy access to all the sites and metro.

Very not even a bad hotel! Clean. Cozy, friendly staff, quite good breakfasts, and most importantly, so is its location! There are so many attractions in walking distance. Shops, bars, cafes — all nearby. We have not regretted a gram of our choice! Everything is super!

Great place, very well located, walking distance from the central station. Lots of bars and eating joints close by. For tourists, hop on and hop off pick up point close by at walking distance. Amazing staff and service, I was impressed by the Front office executive Ms Vivien with her very helpful attitude. Good and healthy breakfast. All in all value for money.

Very noisy. We had windows facing the street, there are bars all night screaming visitors. The location of the average transport availability is excellent. Public transport to the Danube embankment is 10 minutes. Transport goes perfectly. You can walk, but it's a long way off, forty minutes and along busy streets breathe exhaust fumes. The section is also 30-40 minutes on foot, but the road is pleasant. On the bus or trolley bus 5-10 minutes. The staff are very friendly in Russian do not speak English, German, cleaning breakfasts are normal.

A great hotel for those who have come to see the beautiful Hungary and its capital! The staff are polite and friendly. Special thanks to Anna Maria serving our room. A lovely breakfast at the hotel for those who came to see rather than get fat!

The proximity to Keleti Station puts the hotel first (5 minutes in no hurry). Ideal for travellers. The room at first seemed small, then used to. The lack of a kettle and cutlery strained. Of course, it's my fault, but we could remind you that breakfast is included in the price.

We had an awesome experience with the Star City Hotel! We got to Budapest at 00:30 and our airbnb host never sent us our code to get in to our apartment. We were stranded in the middle of the night and pulled up the closest hotel on our phone. They had one room left and were very nice and professional. I bought a cheap phone while we travel through Europe. I left it in the hotel and we emailed them two days later (I assumed it was in my bags somewhere) and they told me they found it and would hold it for us the next morning. Very professional!

The reception is very very nice, and welcomed us with a drink! They suggested very nice restaurants and accommodated our needs/requests. The location is nice, convenient to train station, metro and thermal spa, but is not right in the city center, so it is recommended to take the metro or the bus which are working efficiently. Breakfast at the hotel could be improved a little in quality and conditioner and solid soap are not available in the room. Everywhere in Budapest it is pretty clean and nice (there is though a problem with electromagnetism).

The hotel is neat and clean. The staff is very helpful-both at front desk and at kitchen. The room was business types. Could have been a bit bigger to move freely. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately they dont have a kitchen so no food orders can be placed and thus one must have food outside and then come to the hotel. The lane seems to be lonely but its safe as there are government offices in the neighbouring areas. Overall a good experience for 2 days travelers in the given price.

Room in the norm but comfortable near the Feroviara station Kelety friendly Staff, speak only English. Breakfast.

OK so this is a budget hotel, but considering that it's a really great base from which to explore Budapest. Close to city park and only a 40 minute walk from the river and central attractions, we had a lovely stay. I particularly want to mention the staff — they were all extremely helpful and friendly, and helped me solve a couple of problems that would have caused problems for my guests (we were here for work not pleasure unfortunately! ). The staff were really smiley and friendly, and a shout out goes to Vivien for sorting out an issue with my bookings, and our transfers without any fuss at all. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants friendly comfort on a budget!

The air conditioner was not working. The temperature was in the eighties every day. Could of used some nice cool room. The breakfast was OK.

Not very cozy room with not pleasant smell (105), but the bathroom and toilet are clean enough. Another inconvenience was a noisy street under the window: Cars, trolleybuses, motorcycles prevented in the morning to sleep.

I liked the star Siti Hotel. It corresponds to graduation * * *. I would like more information in English. Cleaning and change of linen on * * * *. The ceilings are high, the beds are comfortable. Not enough air conditioner, but ceiling height compensates for everything. The staff is polite. Breakfast was good.

It's nice, the rooms and the service perfect and the price too.

Very close to the Keleti station, max 5 minutes walk. The room is ok, clean. Do not expect anything extravagant. The breakfast was nice, varied. It is definitely better than a hostel and the price is very low. The area is not so pretty but at least you have transportation means nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for a few years in March.
The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The view from the window was to the patio, but it is not scary, we did all day on excursions and the window was once to watch). The room was cleaned every day, it was clean. Shampoo and gel in one dispenser as long as you want, the hair dryer is. Here dystocia for clothes only 2, we did not suffice. The safe is good. When we arrived 2 batteries out of 3 were turned off, it was fresh. When asked to include them, it did immediately and became warm. Offered even a second blanket). Breakfast in the hotel is excellent: tasty cheese and sausages, great scrambled eggs and sausages, greens, vegetables, apples and tangerines as much as you want (with you can be worn, no one forbids), muesli, yogurt, toast, buns and good coffee. The hotel is conveniently located to the metro station 10-12 minutes, if you go the other way, then walk to the Baths Széchenyi, Heroes Square, Castle Vajdahunyad, zoo. Near the hotel there are cafes and restaurants No, there are small bars, but we did not venture, dined and dined in the center, or closer to the Metro. The Paprika restaurant is a 15 min walk from the hotel, one time we went-we liked it (its guides recommend). The staff at the hotel is welcoming, always willing to help, but only in English. Armenian. A lot of booklets at the reception desk, city map, etc. Overall the price and quality of this hotel is perfect, we were satisfied.

Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The walls are however not very well soundproof. The hotel is well placed in a quiet street and close to the Metro.

The hotel is good, … except when you receive a group of italian students who run in the hall all the night long. 2 things to improve a lot : — the reception : the hostess gave 3 telephone calls and writings on the computer before looking at me and giving my kee (5minutes of waiting), learn to smile just a little, please. — change your bakery : bread and croissants are soo dry!

Quite awful… I felt in the room like in a prison cell… Small dark UbD The furniture is ancient… Not even the remote control to the TV has worked I could not spend a minute in there and changed the hotel…

Decent rooms but bad breakfast options. The croissant was of very low quality, bad machine coffee and scrambled eggs had shells in them.

Room (Ours: the 101) well maintained and clean, view on skylight. Cheap Mini bar.
Clean, ageing room and noisy VMC.
Hallways and sound staircases (the hotel welcomed a class of Italian high school students…).
The most: a bottle of bubbly offered at our arrival, a free smartphone at our disposal (including guide, calls, Geo localization very convenient for the discovery of Budapest! ).

Very quiet area although not very engaging aspect, quite far from the center but trolleybus nearby (bus, Metro Kereti Palyaudvar to 5 min walk).
Small mini-marts in the neighborhood.
In summary, pretty good value for money when you are, like us, followers of the small holiday cheap.

Adequate service, reduced price, not a luxury hotel, but if it is dignified, comfortable and clean. The staff is lovely. The situation is good. It will be my first choice when I return!

Very nice hotel with excellent service. The receptionist in the evening a charm! It is close to the Keleti station and allows you to move everywhere. I didn't like the surroundings, but nothing happened either. The only downside was that my security chest didn't work and they couldn't fix it. I also recommend it!

The heating cannot be graduated, except that it is a cheap hotel with what it implies.

Decent place to sleep. Close to the city centre. Not far from the metro and bus stop. Good price per night. The street is pretty quiet, so not much noise. Breakfast could be better but the rest makes up for it. They speak English at the reception. The staff is friendly.

What we have more: the friendliness of the staff at the reception, the cleanliness of the places, the room, the sheets, the fluffy towels and good quality, the loan of the phone equipped 4g, very convenient to move in town to guide us what we liked less : Not much except the breakfast rather little varied, but for the price, it's very decent.
I recommend for a little stay: to sleep there, to rest before going to enjoy the city.

A very nice little hotel, excellent value for money for Budapest, close to the metro and bus, less than 10min from the center, very clean, very quiet having already stayed in a lot of hotel I have never seen a hotel so quiet, breakfast sufficient and especially this Which is for me the main in a hotel, the staff that is of an incredible kindness. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Budapest.

Clean hotel with good service and spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet was also acceptable. The only con is that is a bit further from the centre (25 mind walk).

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a 7-minute walk to the Metro. The rooms are standard, two beds. The room was clean. The bed was very clean. The staff is friendly, speaks English. Breakfasts are usual: scrambled eggs, croissants, sausage, cheese, coffee, tea. Every day is the same thing. From the hotel you can walk to Seccheni, to Andrassy Avenue, to the zoo. Go 25 minutes. Overall, everything was pleasant. The room was very clean.

We've had a great stay during our citytrip to Budapest (22/10-25/10). Great services, calm district, nice people and good breakfast. Nothing to feel sad about, we had an amazing stay!

A clean but basic hotel accommodation. Just a few blocks from the metro system, which is efficient and frequent. Good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful — — particularly appreciated their assistance in booking tours. The morning breakfast buffet has a nice array of hot and cold selections — — croissants are delicious, and the jams are extremely good. The biggest let down was the bar. Most nights we could not have a glass of wine because they were out. When they did have wine, the white wine was not chilled.

Check-in: OK Staff: Always willing to help. Good people! Breakfast: OK and consistent Room: Toilet & shower leaked. Beds uncomfortable and need replacing. Room was clean. AC was turned off in building and that was not a good idea. Checkout: OK All in all, this is a economy hotel near good restaurants and the train station.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Metro 2 and 4 respectively. From Keletti station. The room was small but functional and clean. The bathroom clean but unfortunately very strong smell. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast can be improved. Partly in the selection, but especially with the young lady who neglected the breakfast room a bit (replenishment, clearing, table cleaning…). Therefore 1 star deduction. Good value for the price.

Very helpful and nice staff people. The room and the hotel as a whole was clean, we got clean towels every day. Some facilities a little bit older (creaking bed, dispenser for shampoo), but working fine for us :)

The hotel is centrally located. Just opposite is a bus stop. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Because our room was right on the street, you could hear the cars or people that walked by at night, but that doesn't really bother you. The breakfast is delicious and extensive. The reception is manned 24 hours and could always help us with all the questions quickly and friendly. In the immediate vicinity are several pubs and restaurants as well as a late, where you get everything at a good price. Parking spaces in the street were also always available and free of charge.
My only personal disadvantage as a smoker: that you have to smoke outside is yes OK, but a bench or seat would have been nice.

There are very cozy room! But clean and enough to using for one person :) Staffs are very kind and helpful! But around hotel doesn't have enough restaurants.! But it was very nice experience!

Nice hotel. Staff understands English. Well connected to Keleti. Wi-fi is good. Breakfast is same every day but nice.

Reception was very friendly and professional and this was true for all the staff. Room and bathroom were a decent size. Hotel in a good location not far from Keleti station and about 15/20 minute walk into main centre. Breakfast was good and would say the hotel was good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice room with the good surprise of having a door between the 2 beds, like 2 small separate bedrooms. Pleasant surprise when traveling with friends.

We had a lovely stay at the star city hotel Budapest and had the wonderful surprise to find a bottle of champagne dropped in our room while we were touring the city for my boyfriend's birthday. We warmly recommend the hotel! Warm and gentle service and a clean and large room awaits.

Very quiet hotel, a little out of the room but 10 MNS walk to the subway. The rooms are good and the breakfast is very good.

We were absolutely satisfied! The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The room was always clean and had a nice atmosphere. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the time we spent here and if we are coming back to Budapest for any reason we will choose this hotel again! The room price was very friendly, the breakfast was great and the room was pretty silent. Thanks for the staff, and to the cleaning service (in our case to Anna Mária and to Ibolya) for these days! We will recommend the Hotel for everyone (yes for those people we find on the street too :D)!

It was a nice stay. Really close to the train station, if you need to travel be rail.

We stayed at Star City hotel in January 2012. Hotel is a three star, but it is not bad. The room was big, bright, stoked very much, constantly opened window, location the hotel is located in a good area, close to many cafes and shops, close to station and metro. Breakfast is the same every day, but quite normal — scrambled, boiled sausages, sausage 3-4 kinds of cheese, 2-3 species, rolls, croissants, tea, coffee, juices, yoghurt, milk, cereals, fruit. In the General opinion is positive. Inside the hotel has two elevators, one of them a glass, followed by a patio where you can smoke. Bed changed every 3 days, towels every day, hot water, cleaning every day. For a 3 stars even excellent. The main thing to the place of gathering groups on a tour of the square of the heroes we reached in 15-20 minutes, and then along Andrassy Avenue down to the Central Vaci street full of souvenir shops and cafes. We were very pleased.
