Beautiful view to the Danube and and to the Parliament from lots of the rooms. Our room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast has a wide selection of cheese, fruit, bakeries, salamies and they make fresh eggs for you. The staff is really helpful and nice. Great location, you can easily walk up to the Fisherman Bastion in 10 minutes and to the Pest side through the Chain Bridge in 15 minutes.

Everything about the hotel was great, view from our room stunning breakfast was great had a wonderful time there!

Our family (wife and 14 years daughter) was absolutely satisfied with the accommodation. We stayed on the 6th floor so we could enjoy an astonishing view of the Danube river and the beautiful parliament building. We also had luck to park our car in the hotel's garage which was small but still spacious enough to accommodate our MPV next to the other two vehicles. The historical music hall where guests could drink a tea, coffee and biscuits for free in the afternoon was another unique experience. Breakfast was delicious and offered everything including wide range of fruits and vegetables.

We stayed here for two nights during our visit. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good for such a small hotel. The room was clean a fully equipped with amazing views of the city. The windows facing the river take up the whole wall. I didn't see any other hotels with such expansive windows. Watching a thunderstorm roll over the city at night was a great experience. The location is very good with short walks to the Castle Hill or across the Chain Bridge to the other side of the river. Highly recommended.

What can I say, wonderful hotel with amazing view over the river, but the rest is really normal with an old furniture. A little bit far from the the center, around 15min walk, it’s fine with cause I like walking.

We are a couple from CPH. Victoria hotel is worth it. It is right in front the Danube River. You will get a great view from your room overlooking the Parliament and Chain Bridge. This family owned hotel has a great hidden history in the building and it will add bonus to your stay. Ask Oliver about the legendary history. He will tell you. The room is modern and my husband and I enjoyed staying here. :-)

Location — Perfect Rooms — Excellent facility with river front view Food — only thing that could improve and needs attention.

The room was excellent and the view was great. From its window you can see from the bridge of the chains to the parliament. If you are looking for accommodation in Budapest This is the ideal hotel. Also the rooms are very large and the breakfasts Completísimos.

I chose this Hotel because of its exceptional ratings and was a bit disapointed. The river view was really great and you have a tram station in front of the hotel. Tickets are available from the metro station 5 minutes down the road. City center is in walking distance accross the bridge. The room was spacious and comfortable. My toilet was decorated with long black hairs and full of sprinkles in the outside — disgusting. I told Reception before leaving for dinner. They only removed the hair. Friendly staff. Breakfast was nothing special, different egg dishes can be ordered. There are better hotels for similar price in Budapest.

Another nice hotel in front of the Danube in the centre of Budapest.
I can not give a complete review because I was only for a meeting, but from what little I saw is very nice, in the old style.

Stayed with my wife for three nights. On the 9th floor and had great view of Parliament Building. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Good location. Easy to find being on river side just up from Chain Bridge. Good belgian bar next door and another 4 minutes walk away. Tram stop outside too! Metro station a few 100 yards away.

Great location on Buda side of the Danube. Nice room with balcony in the top floor. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Has a bar, but no restaurant. Good dining options nearby however. Free afternoon tea and reduced price cocktails at happy hour are nice touches.

I cannot say anything about the hotel itself, as the trip planned for the end of May cannot be started due to cancer. Unfortunately, the hotel is not prepared to partially refund the costs already paid for 4 nights including breakfast and does not want to make any rebooking to autumn 2017. Therefore, be careful when booking directly via the hotel homepage, because if you do not read the very small and inconspicuously presented contractual terms, you have been loost. What a pity!

I would class this in my view as a very good 3 start hotel but not 4 star. My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights. We came to budapest for my wifes birthday. I had not looked online that they do not provide Irons in rooms or would bring one to you. When I called reception to ask to borrow one I was told absolutely not that we do not give irons. I was like okay, what can I do as I was taking my wife to the ballet that evening. They had informed me that ironing service is not available on the day we landed and I had to wait for tomorrow. After having to go down to the reception I was then allowed to go downstairs and Iron the clothes myself. the kitchen staff and evening security/ reception desk staff are great and really helpful. the food selection is not amazing. I think due to the lack of welcoming to the hotel, the issue with the iron I would not recommend people to stay here. I think its best to pay the bit extra and stay somewhere nicer. I believe their is a more modern nice hotel literally 20 seconds down the road from them.

5 stars all the way. Excellent location just on the Buda side of the chain bridge giving easy access to both sides of the river. Very friendly and helpful staff, immaculate rooms and a lovely breakfast in a very modern dining room. The river view is just stunning too.

The view of the Danube and Parliament is outstanding. The service here is also good — we arrived early and since our room was already cleaned, they let us check in immediately. The room is a good size and well equipped. The hotel is fairly convenient to a metro station and several restaurants. All in all, highly recommended.

I have been going down to this property for years, sometimes alone sometimes as a couple. It's always with great pleasure. Be it in the main building with about twenty 4-Star rooms all featuring a large bay window overlooking the Danube or in the rooms of the annex behind the Hotel (Fö utca) classified 3 stars. The staff is particularly friendly and attentive, present in the establishment for several years which attests to sound management, the breakfast included in the price of the room is copious which allows to enjoy the day to visit This so beautiful city without having, to waste time at lunch.

Classy hotel. A day at a cost of 119евро…

On arrival our room had a very wet carpet. The hotel was full so we couldn't be moved until the next day, but the staff were apologetic about this. However, with a 4 star hotel rating, the room should perhaps have been checked before we arrived — especially as this problem had apparently occured before. The next room was much higher up but the spectacular view was spoiled slightly by dirty windows (so I'd recommend requesting a room on floors 3, 4, or 5). In the new room, the shower was over the bath and the shower screen too short, so the floor got soaked (a common theme here.! ) The towel rack also fell down. Possibly we were just unlucky with these elements but, perhaps, there's a slight lack of real 4 star quality here, despite the friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, and fantastic location.

For the first time My wife and I visited this city and stayed in this 4star hotel in Budapest. If you've been busy looking for elegant locations in Budapest, then this place is for you. It is one of the best locations you can stay in Budapest. Stepping out the Hotel you will be facing the bank of the river Danube just few meters from the hotel and Pest side of the city with a great view the Hungarian parliament just opposite to this hotel. They have nice breakfast and the staff are so helpful. A very pleasant and friendly place to stay. I recommend this hotel to everybody. Mr. Charles.

We stayed in Victoria Hotel in Budapest (Buda side) in June 2011. The hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed there previously. The first thing that struck us was the view from the hotel. The whole wall is a window that overlooks the Danube and the Pest side, the Chain bridge and the Parliament. Breakfast was above average! The room was very large and clean. We will definitely return! Highly recommended!
