This hotel was magnificent! It is right next to Matthias Church. Upgrade to a room with a view of The Danube. It is the best view in the city! We were awestruck looking out to see Fisherman’s Bastion below and Parliament across the Danube. If you can’t get a river view room, you can have a similar view from the restaurant or executive lounge. The staff of this hotel are experts at customer service. Csaba Illes was so helpful, fun, and welcoming. The breakfast was elegant and delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A very disappointing experience after the splendour at the Intercontinental. Christmas lunch — the food was good however the wait staff left a lot to be desired. Any way on to bigger and better things.

We stayed there 3 nights in July 2019. It has beautiful views. The floor plan is a little weird because it was built to accommodate its surroundings.

Beautifully kept, tastefully decorated clean rooms. The complementary warm dinner at the Executive Lounge was a welcomed surprise. And the views are absolutely spectacular. Stayed in room 383 which was a secluded and quiet room with magnificent views of the Danube, Parliament and the Fisher's Bastion. Highly recommended :)

We had Easter Monday brunch there with kids. Parking was super convenient in the hotel’s garage for free for 3 hours. The view outside of the window was stunning. Their animator did a great job. The best glitter tattoo for kids I’ve ever seen. Food was nothing special compared to other brunch places and the ingredients can be fresher. Service was friendly, but can be more attentive. Overall it was a nice experience.

Lovely hotel beatifullly situated in a fantastic location next to many tourist attractions. Loved the executive lounge. Fantastic selection of drinks. Very comfortable.
Our room had amazing view of the Parliament house and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Great selection with beautiful views also outside the windows!

Wonderful hotel with awesome staff. The rooms are very comfortable and stylish and the view is amazing. Make sure to have a room that looks down to the Danube. The building is right next to the Matthias Church and the Buda Castle is just a short walk away. Moreover, the city is also beautiful.

Love, love, love this hotel. The staff are exceptional, it's spotlessly clean, the Budapest view rooms took our breath away every time we walked into the room and the Parliment building was lit up at night. The bar serves lovely cocktails, the breakfast was good with plenty of choices to suit every palate. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were the best I've ever slept on. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

This is the best Hilton I've ever been to. From attentive staff and excellent concierge, ending with magical views of the Danube and Parliament. The hotel itself is located in the fortress, in the basement there is a museum with the remains of a temple, or monks, I did not really understand. There is an underground garage that is included in the price and for that huge respect. Most pleased staff, the guys know their job well and everyone does it as it should. The concierge in this hotel — the best of all, with whom had to work, here 100% works the principle — any whim for your money, at least I wanted to swim at night on a boat on the Danube, at least that they would have brought me sushi. It's a great service.
Everything else — the hotel is fully honoured to wear the brand of this chain, great breakfasts, clean, cozy rooms.
The view of the Danube is something, don't spare the money and take the rooms of this category.

What an amazing experience we had with this hotel! The facilities are truly amazing, the views are magnificent and the location ideal. Do not look any further if you want to stay in Budapest. We travelled to Prague and Vienna and this Hilton property is one of the top properties we have stayed before at a Hilton brand. Definitely a 5 star hotel!

Nice hotel and in a nice location. Lots of restaurants nearby which makes it convenient to find lunch and dinner. Service is good, and there’s a lot of food at breakfast. The executive lounge is really good, there’s always lots of snacks and drinks always available and it’s always there for you to take no matter what time of the day. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, if you don’t feel like eating a full meal the lounge is great for small meals.

Something need to be changed. 1) no porter/bellman standby in front of hotel. We have to drag luggages by ourselves while it was rainning and windy outside 2) no welcome drinks and towels was served up on arrival 3) receptionist did not inform us to have a seat while waiting for registration. 4) No hotel orientation 5) Reception who check in us did not escorted us to the room (i knew it is hotel SOP) but at least should send us to elevator. I see some of his colleagues checked in and escorted European guests to the elevator (Maybe because of im Asian) 5) I was assigned in room 403 and was blocked by the huge building infront of window. It look creepy in darkness. I asked to change room if it is avalible in following day. The same man who check in me kept asking about paying upgrade. I told him I don’t wanna pay for this plase find another room for me in next day. Suddenly he said there is same room with Danube review view. I repeated by asking is it same room catagory? He said yes. Then I told auntie to came back reception. Then same man printed the confirmation of upgrade form and asked us to signed. Goodwill my Auntie she was happy to pay that amount and did not hesitate to pay at all. While we were discussing about move room. The same staff (GSS position) was a bit chit chatting with his friend. Seem like gossip in thier own language. It was not nice even

Beautiful, clean, very nice staff.

Best location in Budapest. Just steps from St. Mathias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. The views from our room and breakfast area were breathtaking. Room service excellent as well as executive lounge and concierge. My suggestion is that the concierges explain better about the tours before selling them. I felt it was misrepresented since we had to wait 45-50 min for each bus instead of 20-30 min.

Quite a luxurious hotel. A condescending view, situated next to the fisherman's fort. The lighting atmosphere at night is quite great, with yellowish lights and ancient buildings. Breakfast was very good, the dining here makes people feel high and noble. Great place on Earth. Budapest, I love this city.

Awesome Staff & location & unique… price hurts a bit though. Overall, a fantastic hotel. The location is awesome. If you can splurge for a river view hotel room do it. The city lights up at night and the height of the hotel would give some amazing views. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to make our stay as good as it could be. The price is high, but it's not like any other Hilton I have ever stayed at… as a Diamond member, I have stayed in A LOT of Hiltons. I believe this is the only other Hilton that I have given 5 stars to! Pros: — Location — Staff — Historic & modern — Quiet (very) — Exec Lounge — Plethora of outlet & styles — Modern Appliances Cons: — Price — Remodeling in-progress — Windows are above 6 feet from ground — Small lounge — No in-room coffee maker Location: — Nestled in the remains of impressive historical buildings. — — Historical lounge is truly AWESOME! — At the top of a large hill, really works the calves at the end of the day getting back. — Few restaurants/bars in the immediate area Staff: — Fluent in English — Incredibly helpful and attentive. — Never met an employee that seemed unhappy. The hotel: — Beautifully "restored" historical site, mixed with modern amenities. — Renovations in progress, but the hotel has done a remarkable job "hiding" work sites. You almost wouldn't notice if they didn't tell you about it in advance.

We got a beautiful room with a direct view of the town hall. On the occasion of my girlfriend's birthday, a bottle of prosecco brand was directly placed in the room. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating, a perfect stay, thanks to all who made this possible.

This is are first time at the Hilton the hotel was fantastic staff very helpful ad friendly breakfast couldn’t fault it there was such variety for everyone rooms were spotless me and my son had a meal last nite in restaurant it was the best meal the food was beautiful and again the staff were fantastic thank you

Lovely amenities and rooms, stated by considerate and attentive individuals. The bar is nice but the did is nothing to write home about. The location cannot be best, literally steps from Fisherman's Bastion with chores of the river and parliament. There are many excellent places to eat within walking distance.

Unfortunately the breakfast was so terrible we asked that we cancel breakfast for myself for the rest of the stay. We were told, in no uncertain terms that this would be ok and we would not be charged. However today they have reneged on their word and have charged us breakfast for 2 days we did not eat breakfast following their information. We have emailed to try to get refunded given the hotel gave incorrect information but despite this they are not budging on YOUR error. Please do not give your guests false information to then go and charge them at will! So disappointed as Gabor at front desk had actually been marvellous during our stay.

Definitely, the best Hilton I've ever been. The room, staff and location were all great. Don't hesitate to book this hotel. Besides, the hotel has recentely been renovated. Altogether we had a great stay. I'm coming back again.

The hotel is nice. The only Kretikpunkt time the Executive Lounge has no afternoon coffee and cakes. (Coffee stop always)
Rooms: Everything perfect, WLAN fast, clean, nice big and spacious. Sound insulation is very good. Air conditioning switched off but at the smallest level almost not höhrbar. You can also adjust nicely warm.
The executive Lounge has delicious foods.
The location is very good and the staff is very nice.

Great hotel in a beautiful setting. The Breakfast and The room were top. But the fees for the garage are more than exaggerated. Approx. 30, — € per day is really coated U. Not justified.

I stayed at this hotel several times over the last years and it got better in these years. If you are a first time guest, treat yourself with a Danube view room. Executive Rooms are the best choice, as you get access to the executive lounge with free drinks and snacks all day long and a happy hour with really good food and alcoholic drinks, if needed, in the evening. The service on this level is excellent! If you have stayed already and had the nice view, the street (quiet as it is a traffic limited zone) facing multi floor suites are amazingly comfortable as well. Be aware that parking is really expensive in this zone if you arrive by car. However, if you have a European disabled parking permit, you take the normal parking ticket when entering, exit at a maned barrier (the hotel will help you indicating where to find it), give this guy your ticket and your permit, and you will not pay anything. Just make sure your permit is visible all time, while you park on the streets around the hotel.

Of course the location is gorgeous: smack in the middle of Castle Hill, with historical monuments around. There is even some ruins inside the hotel. Rooms are spacious, some with views of the Danube and Parliament. As always the bed is comfortable. Breakfast spread is wide and filled with good qualiy items. The restaurant however has the atmosphere of a canteen.

A great hotel with welcoming staff. The location is outstanding and the views across the river from the well appointed rooms provide a fabulous panorama. Breakfast is pretty good too. In conclusion if you are in Budapest this is an excellent place to stay. I have no problem with recommending The Budapest Castle Hilton.

Quite simply the finest Hilton I've stayed at on the entire planet. Now sure, I haven't stayed in them all, but the Hilton @ Buda Castle has set the bar for which all future will be judged. It is luxurious without being stuffy; attentive without being tedious. The concierge and staff in the executive lounge were helpful at every step.

Recently refurbished, nicely appointed rooms with updated furniture, facilities, and power options. Great staff, fantastic location for castle.

This is a great hotel. Definitely the best Hilton I have ever stayed at. It is located within a UNESCO world heritage site. The location is the hotels best attribute but the service and accommodations are also top notch!

Amazing place to stay in the castle area in Budapest. The view is spectacular and the hotel itself has been renovated and is in great shape. Loved the executive lounge and their offering of proper dinners too. The hotel staff is very friendly and extremely flexible on requests. Can only recommend to stay there.

A very well laid out hotel with spectacular views. Staff are excellent. Rooms are clean and spacious. The only gripes I have are that there are no wine glasses in the room and the Bar fridge is a bit too small for storing opened wine and champagne bottles upright. Also I think it's a bit of a rip off that you have to pay €6.50 for the bottle of water on top of the fridge. Other countries usually supply 1 bottle for free. The hotel's Wi-Fi is excellent and the hotel's interior and exterior is pleasing on the eye. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel in the heart of the castle district, with incredible views of Budapest and parliament.

Fabulous situation and views, great rooms (ok, so I only experienced one room on the "executive level"), and decent food. The newer staff members need some education in the ways of the "Hilton touch" but the longer standing staffers get it and make-up for the occasional snfu's (bar staff, I hope you are reading this).

Amazing location, apparently relaxes the staff. In a double room — comfortable double room.? Slippers (we couldn't even imagine at this level) no. In the hotel "Kempinski" — these never had any problems. The only positive addition to SUCH service was the Manager, speaking in Russian.

Brilliant location in Budapest with lots of restaurants and historic buildings. Our stay was in an executive room with a superb view. The staff of the executive lounge were superb and always keen to help. I highly recommend this Hilton.

I had a fantastic stay in the hotel. My room had wonderful views over the Danube and Pest. It was large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel has probably the best position in Budapest and the staff were pleasant and very helpful.

Enjoyed staying here quite a lot. The hotel's location at the top of Castle Hill is unbeatable, and the interior is generally very nice — — though you can tell that the rooms look just slightly dated, I think that's really in keeping with the atmosphere and a more "modern" look would not fit in well. The breakfast selection in the morning was quite good. The only downside is that you get gouged when paying for Wi-Fi, but unfortunately that's par for the course at most high-end hotels (and the reasonable room rate helped to make up for it).
