I travel to Thessaloniki regularly for business and leisure. I’ve had the opportunity to stay in all different 5 star hotels located in the city. Competition is getting harder, however The Met remains my absolute favourite to date. The hotel itself is a gem with spacious, modern rooms. The room garden offers a great view of the port, which, although located in an industrial area, has a very distinct beauty to it. Food is very good with the breakfast being one of the best I’ve tried in the country. However, the best thing about the Met is its staff. As far as I’m concerned, they are the ones giving it the edge over its competition. You may find a more centrally located hotel or one with better views. You will not find a 5* hotel with warmer, friendlier or more welcoming staff — at least at this point in time. It has been a point of reference for me over the last 4 years.

Beautiful contemporary and design hotel in Thessaloniki, which makes you forget the location not quite central and rather 'uninspiring' (in front of the industrial port). And yet it's a pleasure to be back. The common spaces are spacious and very well furnished, the Roof Garden is spectacular, with its beautiful pool and lounge music, and in the evening it turns into a lovely cool restaurant with magnificent views of the city and bay. The rooms are small but very comfortable, the breakfast is great and the staff at the reception are professional and kind. A shuttle connects the hotel every hour to the center of Thessaloniki (5 minutes).

Nice room. The staff is just wonderful. The garage was really nice too. I can't think of anything that was bad. Really love the hitel.

Okay — so the little things that count. Firstly, there is a (free) shuttle bus that travels back and forth to the city central every 30/1hr — costs 4-5 euro vis taxi, so it’s economic. The views at the pool are sensational. Has a good feel to it.

If you want a good night of sleep you might consider to choose another hotel. Loud music until midnight from the roof top bar and very non sound proof door/walls in combination with noise in the lobby and vacum cleaning 07 o’clock in the morning. Othervice a very nice hotel…

The hotel is positioned at 5 stars, but a little short. The view from the tel, of course, is, but it is not amateur — from the sides of the sea trading port. There is no beach, as in all other hotels in thessaloniki.

Great hotel, close walking distance to the city centar. Nice terrace with pool and stunning view over Thessaloniki. Great parties are hosted here as well!

Shuttle service unreliable. Rude staff (Dina? ) at front desk. Rooftop pool closes early. Executive rooms, while a modern design, are well-used and show their age. Would have preferred staying somewhere more central in Thessaloniki.

You'll be rewarded for choosing a hotel outside the city center. Normally (I just got one of the “abnormal” periods there is a bus every hour for the city center). But everything is wonderful. I would put first the very friendly employees who are always ready to help you. The rooms are spacious, clean and I had some sweets for welcome. Al rooms have a balcony. I really liked the glass separating the bathroom from the room giving more space to it. There was also an electronic guide to take out with you, but I didn’t use it. I absolutely recommend it.

Excellent. Super. The best. Amazing Coco-Mat beds and super deluxe rooms. Only the breakfast could have some more varieties for vegan people. Tried the SPA also, great massage services.

There are some fundamental issues with this hotel, particularly with its service culture. It has a beautiful roof garden with a pool, but it closes at 6 pm, when the climate becomes reasonable for chilling. The inside of corridors are tired and the carpets are in desperate need of replacement. The rooms are nice, but the showers are not. The location is not central. This is certainly not a hotel worthy of 5 stars.

Nice, new, modern hotel. Not in a downtown location but shuttle bus provided throughout the day for transportation to the center of the city. Try the roof garden in the evening and enjoy the view.

Nice hotel, highlight is the pool/bar on the roof top, plus indoor spa. Very fun swimming pool in the spa, buttons on the floor around the pool and hot tub would cause different reactions in the pool/hot tub, such as high water pressure from unique external faucets and internal ones on the bottom of the pool, hard to explain. Hotel location is not walking distance to downtown Thessaloniki, but they provide shuttle drop off at no cost.

Premium business hotel in Thessaloniki; the most recently constructed in the city, offers a great hospitality, culinary and conference experience. Well trained staff and well designed and maintained facilities. Management focused on maintaining high-standards in all areas and does not hesitate to go the extra mile to satisfy the clientèle. The hotel aims to attract clients by demonstrating a superior quality of service instead of employing gimmicks or promotions. Having worked in the majority of business hotels in Greece I can say I am impressed by their professionalism. This has been our first choice for accommodation for high profile clients and social events over the past 3 years.

The hotel is really nice. Spacious, clean and very posh rooms. +1 for the gym and for the roof. Huge windows which lets the sun light in. (free internet, :) yay! ).
