Very clean. Super nice staff. The establishment of the Hammer.

A 1.40 m wide, creaky bed is not what I expect when I book a double room for over 80€ a night. Just painting the walls and putting some decor doesn’t make a great hotel, sorry guys. Second star is for the okish friendly staff. (I recommend going a bit further north-west to the 25hours. A couple of euros more, but really great rooms with comfy beds…)

Amazing breakfast. Quick walk to Hbf, train, bus, tram, and more. Next door is gelato for 1 Euro a scoop.

Individually decorated hotel. Very stylish. Unfortunately, the rooms do not have air conditioning. In the room it was loose 30 degrees. This made it not possible to sleep well. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this price range.

Great place. Barman is SMART and clever. Crea is very friendly. Rooms are clean and BIZARRE (phone with steel…). Breakfast very tasty.

On the Internet are shown very nice themed rooms and therefore we booked the hotel at short notice, because we liked all the themed rooms shown in the pictures very much. The room we got on arrival was … by far the worst hotel room we've ever been in. The furniture was even worse of quality than you know from bad hostels and that for 110 euros the night and of themed rooms no sign! Plus point of the hotel: We were allowed to cancel our booking without cancellation doors, we were told that to get a nice themed room, better to call beforehand.

The hotel was good for my family and I liked it. It is a casual hotel clean and very friendly. Unfortunately, the location is not optimal. When driving from the airport to the hotel, the taxi driver recommended us to stay at the hotel at night rather than running around in this area! Unfortunately, you can not eat in the hotel in the evening, but you can get something to eat, you even get cutlery from the hotel staff!

Nice and friendly place to stay. Rather close to center and many bus/tramlines just outside, lines to airport and exhibition.

Very nice, friendly and uncomplicated staff. The breakfast buffet is delicious, always fresh and always replenished. Very good coffee, it leaves nothing to be desired. Superb.
Also the 2nd stay at the Friends Hotel was great.

A hotel that most closely resembles the charm of a former youth club: simply cool with table tennis, board games, a bar and recurring theme nights. Super concept.

Interesting hotel with a very large lobby. Everything in the 60s style. The location is convenient, as it is only a few minutes to the central station. There are also countless dining options and a cinema nearby. The room was cheerfully furnished and clean. Breakfast had a decent selection.

Clean, tidy and attentive staff. The rooms are arranged according to different themes, it is advisable to ask in advance the subject of the booked room. The topics are sometimes very bizarre. Location is very central and well connected. Unfortunately the car park is a few steps away and for large sedan only limited. Prices are relatively inexpensive.

Hotel was definitely stylish. But now very rocked off. In the surroundings it becomes really gloomy. Travelling alone in the direct neighbourhood only with unwell being.

A class location, come here once a year and the décor is great and very individual — I like it! Just to top it off from the Minihostel. En in Winsen.

Very nice interior design. The rooms unfortunately have shallow walls and no safes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They also care to give you the right tips for Düsseldorf.

It's… funky. But I liked it. At least it was interesting, compared to most other hotels I stay at on business trips. Staff was very funny, always cracking jokes, and eager to help. The rooms all have different themes as well — mine was very simple, but my coworker had a Harry Potter room.

Probably not a candidate for 5 stars in traditional hotel rating for the lack of facilities such as a spa, but definitely 5 stars in terms of value for money and — — more importantly — — in terms of subjective welcome factor. Well located, clean, well equipped & comfortable. Good food. Very unusual and sweet theming. But most of all: Great, super friendly and super helpful staff, from reception over room service to restaurant, 24/7. Total recommendation to Germans and visitors alike.

This hotel cancelled my stay 1 day before I was due to check in. Fully refunded, but rebooking a similar hotel at the last minute just cost me €300 more.

I went there during the Tour de France, the staff was friendly but the prices were high. I have no idea what the price would be when there is no Tour. The hotel MUST do something about their cleanliness, my sister and me started itching after sitting 5 min on the fauteuille…

I stayed there for one week in early June 2016 during Drupa Show. The hotel staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful to me as a traveler from the U. S. They were accommodating to all my requests and always showed a genuine interest in meeting our needs. The design of the hotel was very different from US hotels, I'm sure the persons who shopped for the things to decorate he hotel must have had fun!
The hotel offers (in my opinion) the BEST breakfast that I have had in 20+ years of business travel! The variety, the presentation, the special added touches (including honey still in the honeycomb… in the frame! Even though I was there 7 nights, 8 days, there was a lot of the same food there each morning but you could have a different type of breakfast each day. The woman who runs the kitchen was the BEST! Her team and she were so creative in the food they prepared and presented. And, in the evening, a full bar where you can try local beers and wines and other cocktails in a casual atmosphere.
Except for my room facing street, where the noise from the "excitement" of central Dusseldorf kept me awake much of each night (which the hotel cannot control), there was nothing negative about my stay there. I would recommend that you request a room on the opposite side of the street. Check out this hotel when you go to Dusseldorf. If you are attending a trade show at the Messe Dusseldorf, it's easy to get there via local train.

Design and concept of the hotel are very harmonious and staying in all common areas actually invites to linger. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good and everything was very clean.
Only the decor of the room was a little old, but we enjoyed our stay.

Like at home! Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff and a great concept, just a few minutes walk from Düsseldorf main station.
There is also a small function room for up to 18 people, the catering was simply outstanding.

Hear my third visit and the first after the conversion. I like the atmosphere here, the rooms are all different and very creative. The interior designers have proved good taste.
The rooms are very clean, the staff is professional and courteous. One shortcoming of the hotel: there is no air conditioning in the rooms, which could make the stay if necessary difficult in the summer.

Yes, the Tiefgarage is hard to find and yes, you probably won't find the Worringer Platz in any tourist guide, but just wait until you are inside. The Düsseldorf Hotel Friends is a well hidden gem. You'll love it. Trust me.

Sorry, no idea how these reviews come about. The Breakfast is great, no question, but here it sounds also. My room was not well thought out (what a design hotel, if you what Design is) and dirty. The door was already broken and was barely patched together. My Please, my room not to be entered every day is disregarded. An explanation has not been given. Sorry, from the worse Hotels get usually more.

The rooms to the main intersection out are unfortunately very loud. Directly under the Windows of driving a tram. : (The "Design" of the photos on the Website fool you, unfortunately, over the fact that the furniture of the cheapest Rahaus variety. The employees are very friendly… (otherwise it would be just a star.

A Successful Weekend The rooms 501 "Spirit of Africa" is a dream. Never before have I so enjoyed a room in a Hotel opened. The room is exceptional, tasteful and cosy furnishings. The Lounge on the 7th FLOOR is cozy and Quiet. However, in comparison to the related room uncomfortable ;-). We remained rather on the room More than "Recommended" to say about it. 5 stars for the room. The Breakfast delicious and cozy. For 12, 50€/Person price performance is good. Very good is also that Breakfast is a very long time. Breakfast for late risers is no Problem here. The Hotel has no Attached restaurant. What, however, is not a bad thing at all. Who needs in the heart of Düsseldorf, a hotel kitchen. First-class gastronomy is on foot in a few minutes. Only the contents of the refrigerators across from the reception Desk should be supplemented. Since there is no Bar there is one, if you do not even take precautions, on the content of this dependent. Although there are right around the corner from a 24 hour open stores, but once on the Fast a bottle of wine or even a Cocktail was not possible. Too bad But since I was Prepared I can in good conscience 5star awarded and would again Frinds Hotel visit and prefer if in the destination one.

Absolutely nothing than positive about this hotel! Nice people; cozy rooms, good breakfast and the center of Dusseldorf is not too far by foot. We would definitely come back here when we visit Dusseldorf next time.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel Friends. I was impressed with the room — not only was it spacious, had a bedroom and a small living room, but it was also BEAUTIFULLY decorated. A very stylish hotel! It was also clean and cosy. The only thing — it was too warm (even for me who likes it warm). I tried to open the window, but it led to the fire escape, so I did not feel comfortable leaving it open over night. The personnel was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent — nothing very special, but all one needs from a hotel breakfast. The location is good too — the area is not very fancy, on a loud intersection, but it is only a short walk away from the main train station, and within walking distance to the shopping areas and other city attractions. I would sincerely recommend this hotel, especially for those who appreciate modern, stylish and cosy hotels. It is well worth its price.

Very nice and cosy hotel. My room was towards the back and therefore quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was on the NYC floor and in South Hampton — US American style, really nice. The hotel is very centrally located, but on a busy and noisy intersection. Make sure you try getting a room towards the back of the building. Breakfast was good and plenty with fresh produce and everything I needed to get me going.

It was a great experience! Wonderful rooms, with a lovely and helpful team. It was like to be at home! If I will come back sure will repeat it again with them.

Very nice and friendly staff. Good rooms and beds. Very clean and cosy. It was very warm though the week I spent here and there is no air conditioning. If you open the windows at night you get some cooler air in but also the traffic noice. So I had to choose between a bearable temperature and silence when going to sleep. A big plus for the fantastic breakfast buffé, there is everything you can wish for, and more.

The staff were very friendly. The location is Central (Central station, the centre, etc Are in walking distance) but right next to a major intersection. My room was to the street — the window I could not open (air conditioning is not there) and also with the Windows closed it was very loud. The Breakfast was good but after 8.00 already very empty. The room was original (also my request, I had a "Miss Marple") but the decor (especially the bathroom) is very old. What bothered me was the constant smell of Incense.

Cozy hotel close to the main station. The entrance is forbidding to say the least, but the interior surprises with comfortable charm, large rooms and an excellent breakfast selection. The price isn't wrong, either.
