Comfortable modern well designed rooms, good breakfast (though a little pricey). Very nice staff. Nitpicky negative: you have very little control over the airflow and temperature in the room. I realize there's a big push for energy efficiency going on, but at this price level I would think we could push up or down a couple of degrees.

I've stayed at the Courtyard Marriott a few times now — every time has been exceptionally good. This is the hands down the best value for money in Cologne. I still can't believe they charge so much less than competing hotels. The rooms are clean and very modern, as is the wider hotel. There isn't a large range of activities in house (like a gym, pool or spa) but honestly, you don't need it staying so close to the city centre and the lack of those "extra" facilities comes through the high quality of what they DO have and the low prices of the rooms. The only downside is that it's not clustered up with most hotels in the area, instead sitting out on the city ring road. You can however catch the city metro (about 2-3 minute walk from the hotel) and the cathedral is still only 10-15 minutes away on foot. I'd like to thank the staff for their fantastic service.

De kamers waren prima, zoals altijd bij deze keten. Helaas was de ontbijtruimte echt te druk en krap opgezet. Er staat dat je voor parkeren niet hoeft te reserveren. Bij aankomst bleek de garage vol te staan en moesten we op minuut of 5 afstand parkeren. Niet heel erg. Maar de verwachting was anders.

Definitely 5 stars! We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed our short time there. The hotel is super clean and bright, staff at reception are friendly. There is a Rewe supermarket just cross the road.

Located in Old Town North, this Hotel is a good Base for a City break to Cologne. The cathedral is within a 10-Minute walk.
The Décor is functional and the Rooms, as well as the entire Hotel look very well maintained and clean. When the window was closed, there was no traffic noise to be heard in our room to the Side of the Street.
The Staff seemed friendly and professional.
You have the Option to use the In-house "shop" For smaller Purchases around the clock.
Parking is available in the Form of an Underground Car park. However, it is not possible to make a Reservation.
Unfortunately, breakfast was not entirely convincing. The Choice of food on offer was quite manageable. Rolls on two of three Days mushy and in no Way crispy. Coffee maximum mediocre. The rear Breakfast room looks very constricted, as there Is chair to Chair, which makes you feel in no Way comfortable as a Guest. The front, open Area of gastronomy, however, very cozy, with sometimes small Niches with Tables where you could sit very well.
If you are looking for a solid, clean, functional Hotel close to The City Centre, this is the place to be. Absolutely recommended For a City Break.

Good hotel… But in Cologne I prefer the Maritime Hotel. A completely different level of comfort and a much better location.

Modern well-kept city hotel close to the HBF and Dom. The room was very well cleaned and very well equipped with irons and board. At check-in we were asked if we needed a map of the city. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is excellent, it is immediately refilled and used dishes is cleared. The underground car park is very well lit, but at €24. It is quite expensive. However, this seems to be a Cologne person than less of a problem of this hotel.

The Courtyart is a great weekend hotel the location in downtown Cologne is great for shopping and evening to the Old Town.

In the category I have already experienced better.
The man at the front desk was absolutely incomprehensible as he been mumbling. In addition, despite late arrival and long train ride, had to pay immediately and settle everything even though the credit card was deposited. Absolutely incomprehensible to me.
The room was nice though, I find the bathroom encircled with frosted glass in need. I prefer to rest in the bathroom and feel unobserved i. E. A fixed door, no glass etc. The shower is running slightly, as the splash guard is too short. The sink is twisted and so I came to the faucet (left) several times when making makeup. For right-handed soap/faucet is also strange. Modern is nice, but when it becomes so impractical, it listens to me for sorry.
I also found it partly noisy and the room service came in when I moved, although we have to check out anyway at noon.

Room very small. For a 4 * * * * hotel little care products. Fingerprints of predecessors everywhere. Cleanliness looks different. No minibar. Staff very friendly. Breakfast rather average. Nothing out of the ordinary. Outwardly, building, very beautiful. Atmosphere rather cold, for travellers and possibly Suitable for business people.

Glass shower, beds are fine, staff is friendly. Breakfast was 18 Euros per person, so we went somewhere else. If arriving by train, watch the signs to depart the train station and go opposite from the Dom. Make a left out of the train station, then a right on Domstrasse. Walk half a block and you'll see a Bruce Lee Salon on the left. Keep walking for several blocks and the Courtyard is on the left.

Rooms were good, location is also very well located near the Ebertplatzes.
But for one day you need 21 Euro underground parking fee and 18 euros for a breakfast, and at the same time Gloat says that the WLAN for us as a customer is of course free of charge…
I'm sorry, I can't remember.
Especially the underground garage should be included for guests. And the breakfast would have done it for 10 – 12 euros also. So we went to L ' Osteria around the corner chic food. Tasty and cheaper.

Very relentless early cleaning in the mornings, do not forget to hang "Do Not Disturb" the door. Huge beds, have tea and safe, but no fridge. Overall a pleasant place, the rooms are clean and quiet.

Hotel tip top. 1 night and breakfast for €102. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable room, very good buffet breakfast. We'll get back to that.

In principle beautiful hotel, stylishly furnished, pleasantly clean, good breakfast. I was less fond of the employee who received us. He was unkind, unhelpful and simply unpleasant.

Staff was extremely attentive and room was very clean. Location felt a little sketchy but it aas close to the train and attractions.

Good chain hotel. Rooms are modern and clean. Bathroom is a little strange, with glass walls, yet a lock on the door :-). The glass is obscured, but the wall mirror is placed so as to ensure anyone on the bed can't help see into the bathroom, bizarre. The shower is large and effective though the aircon is a bit feeble. Breakfast buffet was good quality and well organised. Boiling water for tea was available, as were machines to make coffee. Breakfast was however popular and busy, so 8am to 10am was a little crowded, though they coped and refreshed the buffet regularly. The hotel looks a bit dated from the outside, though it's much better inside. It is a 15min walk from the railway station through a fairly tired part of Cologne.

I stay at a lot of hotels… about 150 nights per year. This is a great hotel. Rooms are nice but the staff is what is amazing. The restaurant staff are the best and make you feel welcome. Food is wonderful. Great location!

Clean rooms, nice enough staff, good central location. The problem/issue is air conditioning. Don't come here on a hot day. They have central air and it's set to a certain non American standard that is "eco friendly" but will leave you suffocating. Eco Friendly in this instance = cutting costs at the expense of client comfort. If you try to open the window for air, it only opens a crack (you have to call staff to open it further) and when open, you hear loud outside traffic outside. So you can't sleep due to too high temprature, or, you can't sleep becaue of the loud noise outside. Courtyard, this is an easy fix! Allow your guests to set their own temperature in their room! I've stayed over 130 nights this year with Marriott and other hotels in 2017 so far and trust me, you're air conditioning policy is in the minority.

Great location, rooms are decent, customer service however is very disappointing. Stayed 2 nights. The AC didn't work, hotel promised a technician would take care of it the next day. Nothing was done and no follow up. Second day again raised AC issue. Told technician didn't work weekends (they could have told us the previous day), given option to change rooms — too much work when we were leaving the next morn. Discovered afterwards I had left a necklace in the room on departure, informed hotel, hotel agreed to get back after checks. No follow up. I eventually emailed to check up, hotel confirmed nothing found. Birthday necklace lost forever. Lesson: don't trust the hotel either to keep their word or to safe keep left behind valuables. Disappointing.

Great Service and great Buffet! The seminar snacks top notch. If the bathrooms are renovated, there are immediately 5 star. Rooms were nice and clean. Bathrooms, unfortunately, not the latest, but is being worked on. Located about 15 minutes walk from the Duomo.

We were on a weekend in January 2017 as a Couple in a First Class Suite on the 6. Floor of the building. The room and the equipment but unfortunately the years. A renovation would be necessary. At the front Desk was also missing part of the expertise. Although I had spent my birthday, I received no attention (not even a congratulations greeting). The Spa area is very small but also very quiet.

The staff was super friendly and took care of immediately desires no matter what time of the day. The Breakfast was very rich and it hardly left desires open something for every taste. The room was a little on in years, as wear and tear from the remains but this was for the price performance ratio is not bad. At the cleanliness there was also nothing to complain about. Since we wanted to see of Cologne, the situation was of course super could do everything on foot, whether shopping in town, a Musical or a Museum visit. City Treasury and tips there was also, of course, think from the staff. We will come back.

Great location. Close to the metro station and very close to the most historic locations of Cologne. Very friendly staff and a hotel that is very well maintained and clean. Enjoyed our three day stay here.

The Hotel has us very well fallen, and we would book it again and again. The facilities and Service are very good. The Fitness area with Sauna is great, you can relax well. The Cathedral is 10 min walk and the Hotel's own car Park, Parking is the Problem.

Amazing location — 8 minutes walk to central station and the Dom, 3 minutes to a lot of nice bakeries and the Eigelstein gate (photo attached). The staff was very courteous and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms are not too quiet and we were woken up to grinding sounds from one of the adjoining rooms. We proceeded to make similar sounds of our own.

Modern and comfortable. With parking. Good breakfast buffet. A few steps from Cologne Cathedral, the market and many points of interest. I'd stay there again.

Just outside the centre, about five minutes walk from the main railway station so only ten minutes walk from the Dom. Has comfortable and quiet rooms that are cleaned efficiently and a pleasant bar/restaurant that in addition to breakfast serves lunch and dinner. Recommended as this is often considerably lower cost than hotels only a little closer to the Koln Messe.

Large, good sized room with adequate bathroom. The carpet was clearly getting on in years, the equipment but a complete and total high-quality. Excellent Breakfast with a wide selection of cold and hot dishes, fruit, cold and hot drinks, as well as different egg dishes, which were prepared individually. The staff was at any time and in any place very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant Congress in the neighboring Sartory halls, Cologne, thank you!

It seems from the first glance a nice hotel. But from the first steps of understand that it is not. Small rooms. The lack of a mini bar. In the first 10 days, put a bottle of water. Cups are not washed. Tea and sugar were added every few days. The Windows face a noisy street. Had to sleep with a closed window. The water pressure in the shower is terrible. Room service is missing. Ordered for room service food we have to go down and pick it up yourself. Stay in June 2016, type of trip: business trip.

Stayed here for work. Clean, friendly staff, nice room. All in all did exactly the job I needed, which was a place to sleep. The Breakfast had a nice outdoor section.

One of the top hotels I've been so far on Gamescom, super location and very good breakfast. My only request is to switch this old old old towels to a newer ones but all the rest is nice. Good bar, good food and very close to anything you decide to do in Cologne.

Well kept and comfortable. Executive lounge is one of the best. Hotel is quite expensive, but conveniently located near the main train station.

Spacious rooms, good location near the Köln Hbf station, good facilities. Only problems were construction on lower level during stay which required long detour to reach health club. Also don't pay for standard Wi-Fi, rather join Marriott rewards to get it free.

Since several years our hotel to gamescom. So far, always good: The rooms are clean and not worn. The Breakfast is good and the staff helpful and friendly. The location is great. Only the car Park is a little small.

The lunch here is very tasty! The price is not always justified. All in all, however, wonderful! You get for every food stamp. After the 10 pieces you should come by for Brunch. Free of charge of course.

Exactly what you expect from a chain hotel; good soundproofing, fixtures, pro staff. A safe choice for an overnight stay. Wi-Fi on the room costs extra though (and not cheap), it's only complimentary in the lobby.

Good location and nice rooms, great breakfast selection and modern interior. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout, the only downside was that using the Wi-Fi is more complicated than necessary and requires reauthentication regularly.

Location was good and room nice/big. No free Wi-Fi in your room which is weird (costs an extra 12-13 euro), I haven't had to pay for extra for internet in a hotel since the late 2000s. Room only comes with vary basic amenities. No milk for coffee or tea.

Today, we have tried the regular lunch table. There was a BBQ Burger. A difficult discipline, because there are so many good comparisons. For the total package, I give less than 5 stars. A word on the fries. The were the best fries in a long long time. You realize that here is not 300 servings per day to go over the sideboard, but the fat is quite fresh, and it is time to really perfect and crispy. Now I have consumed a bunch of power for a long post, which is irrelevant anyway, because this was a unique lunch offering and it is again tomorrow for something else. But maybe there is a repeat. What should be remembered is that this is a very, very inexpensive and delicious lunch in a great atmosphere.

The Bistro has a very nice friendly atmosphere, the Service was good and prompt, the food tasted good. For a quick Lunch during the lunch break, this Location is recommended really and the price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. I would always go there again if I would accept the lunch court. For Lunch, only one dish on offer — the you like or not.

Very centrally located Hotel, rooms were impeccable and new. The Hotel overall made a very modern impression. The interior design was wonderful. Unfortunately was the staff at the front Desk a little too harshly. The garage was not, to our visit unfortunately full, so we had to drag our Luggage around 700m, which is a no-no for such a Hotel!

The rooms look really nice, better than expected, and the beds are also great. It actually has a doube bed with one single mattress and no hole between you. Just for this I would come back again. One thing I dislike is that there is no LAN connection in the room and you have to pay for Wi-Fi a lot. If it was up to me I would close hotels like this.

Pretty good value for the money. Was a decent walk to get to city center or any fine dining. And somewhat confusing without using GPS (thus Wi-Fi) on my iphone ($$). Enjoyed their grand continental breakfast. Hotel provided me quality hair-drier upon request. Decent front desk service, they did not provide much help in making reservations for dining or tourist attractions, and was always a good wait before groups/ppl in line ahead of me was finished.

Super Hotel! About 200 meters from the Hotel the nearest S-Bahn Station, which facilitates the arrival enormously. The Hotel itself was clean and very nicely decorated. Also the Breakfast was first class.

Perfect location, super nice clean and comfortable room, the Breakfast hardly a wish open from bread and Croissants to yogurt scrambled eggs with sausages, cereal, and Obstbar is everything!

Probably the best Hotel I've slept. The beds were amazing. The room was very clean and well furnished. The bathroom was very nice. The staff at the front Desk was courteous and helpful.

They say it's 4 star, but feels like 3 star. Wi-Fi is considered to be a room service and charged likewise. How are the guests supposed to plan their travel? Shower has no door and the breakfast is a joke. On the plus side, the service is very friendly and the restaurant below has some good choices. Location is great, as long as you stick to Turiner str. Any other route could result in encounters with some shady people.

The visit has left a very ambiguous impression. The Hotel is modern and chic furnishings, the location is very good and the rooms are sufficient large and well equipped. The Breakfast is in the case of single payment of 16 Euro too expensive in the package, but cheaper and then quite in order. The selection is not huge, and the Breakfast room is a bit small for the mass of guests, if you go a little earlier or later, it fits well. But we come to the negative points that make a return visit on our part, but very unlikely. At the time of Check-In was the wrong Name in the System, even though online has been booked, and all the data specified. The room was noticeably cold, the heating with the air conditioning was very slow. Especially in the bathroom, it was much too cold, because you couldn't heat it separately. In the Bistro tasted were food but rather average and glasses and Cutlery are not as clean as one should expect. The biggest drawback to our room (414), however, was that it was directly under the fitness room. On the second evening, around 23 PM, we suddenly heard a loud noise "boom boom boom", which lasted about 20-30 minutes. As we found out, someone was running barefoot on the treadmill, what is the noise caused. The front Desk showed little interest in the Problem, you just wanted to go "see". Seriously, I felt taken from me at any time. The next morning, and that evening the Problem repeated.

4days Cologne, and not one of them regrets! very friendly young staff. Quick check-in in a more than adequate double room with lcd flat. The bathroom is a little small (washbasin), however, in the context of a large shower. Sleep like on cloud 7 (the bed is rather hard than soft but it was perfect). Breakfast I recommend starting around 10am, then you get a good place. Very rich offer, nothing was missing. On foot everything is accessible, whether downtown in 10min, or the zoo in about 25min. Rooms were meticulously cleaned and the smell in the hallway was pleasant and einladent. Check out until 12 o'clock, which allows for a cozy Breakfast with anschliesendem pack. To recommend very much for a Cologne trip! Will definitely return to this hotel we book when in Cologne.
