The Hotel is located a few meters from the Cologne Hbf station. The single room and bed was very big. The huge walk-in shower was a dream. Everywhere you had enough space. About the kettle in the room, I was looking forward also mega. Unfortunately, there were only 2 tea bags. The mini bar was empty was also a goodie packing empty on the table. The fitness area was adequate. The staff very friendly. The case is even there, and he was even carried my up the stairs. I can recommend the Hotel only.

Large clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed with several pillows. Friendly Service, Breakfast, I'm curious. Fitness room with a sauna area with several saunas.

The hotel itself was nicely kept. The rooms were nice and location was perfect. The executive floor/lounge was wonderful. Now as far as their housekeeping, front desk, day manager and guest services are all terrible. After a written request, three phone calls down to housekeeping and two to the front desk, NOTHING was done. Yup! That’s right NOTHING! So at checkout I voiced my disappointment for the way they handled or should I say disregarded of our situation and how terrible they treat their platinum members. After all was said and done, I received not even an apology. This hotel staff does not meet the criteria of the Marriott standards. Horrible service during our holiday vacation.

I was on holiday in Cologne last week and it was my pleasure to stay at The Marriott. It has all the trappings of a five star hotel including comfortable bedrooms and decent reception areas. The food was excellent and the breakfast had a terrific choice. Hot and cold buffet with lovely breads and fresh cooked eggs while you wait. What really set this hotel apart was super service where nothing was too much trouble. The staff genuinely cared and were very welcoming. The reception staff and porters were extremely helpful, although everybody l came into contact with was faultless.

What a great hotel! Warmly welcomed upon arrival. Room assigned exactly according to our request. Clean and comfortable room with a nice king size bed. Fantastic breakfast. A great assortment of fresh and well presented food. Open kitchen for eggs on request. Attentive staff. Helpful. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you Marriott Koln.

For the most part, this was a pleasant experience. Price for a room for a walk in ended up being around 120: 105 for the 2 bed room and then tax, no breakfast. This was quite reasonable for the level of hotel we were staying at. The building was clean, the staff were friendly, and the room was nice. The location was perfect: 3-5 minute walk to the train station. The only complaints I had were that the sheets were a bit plastic-ey and the power controls were a little confusing — you need to insert your room key in order to use the outlets and lights. I was also unsure about whether I would be charged for the 3.50€ bottle of water that wasn't present in the room — still haven't seen though. Other than those confusions, the stay was pleasant. I was able to extend a second night over the phone with only the requirement of stopping by the desk for a reactivation of my room key. That took a good 15 minutes to find someone, around 5 pm. There were about 5 people in the back and one person checking in. However, once someone helped me, he was kind and courteous and it took less than 30 seconds.

The rooms are exceptional for European hotels, with enough floor space to do stretches, lay your suitcase open, etc. The rooms are decorated with classy furnishings and decorations that make it clear you are in a luxurious hotel, and the rooms are equipped with refrigerators, irons (and full-size ironing boards), coffee pot, and more. (There are hangers, but don't forget to bring extras! ) The restrooms are wonderful, although the bathtubs are up high and can be quite slippery so be mindful of that if you are less mobile or otherwise might have balance issues. The workout facilities are quite nice, with good options on workout equipment and everything else you might need (sanitizing wipes for the machines, hand towels, water dispenser, attached bathroom, etc. ) I loved my experience here. Perhaps most importantly, the staff is very friendly and most speak very good English (those that don't quickly get someone who does). It is very easy to find what you need despite being in a foreign country they make you feel right at home!

Nice hotel with excellent choice at the breakfast buffet. Even at lunchtime, the Hotel Restaurant offers a great choice.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good. From the hotel room we were very good at peace super large bed and very nice bathroom. It was everywhere very clean as a great compliment to the staff. The front desk staff was very friendly and always there if you have any questions there is a great compliment. The main train station is within a 4-minute walk and the Cologne Cathedral is 5 minutes away.

Good sized, incredibly comfortable bed and a decent size of room. Excellent spread at breakfast making it well worth the additional cost. Ideally located a stone's throw from the station and Dom. Lacking in character — I guess to be expected from a Marriott — and would have expected a bath in a five star hotel. That said, the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional and the overall service was exceptional.

Very good bar where you get almost everything you want. The open furnishings in the reception is very welcoming. The rooms are of a high standard. The location is perfect for a city tour to the fair it is also just a few minutes across the Rhine (you could even run)

Marriott, a brand a guarantee. Classic business hotel, 500m from Cologne Central Station and the city centre. Spacious and well-appointed rooms. Breakfast Friendly and professional staff. Of course, it's not the cheapest Hotel in Cologne but the quality you pay for.

Loved the big room for 4 people. Quiet room. Good location. Great value. I would have given it 5 star but the sofa bed was hard and the extra roll away bed was lumpy.

I stayed in the Marriott for a long weekend and I have to say it was a great location but by far the most positive was one of the members of staff. An American lady Eryn (i think was her name) she was an example too the Marriott. If your looking for a good value venue with helpful staff in central coleonge stay here.

Amazing accommodations! Certainly a great stay for all guests, especially Marriott reward members. The last photo is a view of the balcony, elite member access. The best Wi-Fi I've had for any hotel stay & the food is remarkable! The staff here speaks several languages, and all are extremely cordial.

Hotel in superb location, close to city center and main train station. Reduced 1 star because: — first got key to someones room (some "system error" and fixed but anyway should not happen) — sadly no swimming pool.

Hotel is situated in the very center of the city, about 100m from the Cathedral and the main railway station, but, at the same time is quiet. Staff is very polite and professional. Rooms are quite specious and cleanliness is perfect. Breakfast is wonderful for quality and assortment.

Great reception and service, very close to the central station. The hotel has a good executive lounge, with 2 computers and printers, breakfast and dinner with some choices of alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately the printers and computer dont always work well. Expensive parking — 25 bucks a day. Security elevators with keys necessary. Water in the reception and some newspapers. The gym is okay — there is sauna.

An excellent hotel, and the location is amazing.

The Cologne Marriott has a lot of things going for it. First is that it's just a short walk away from the S-train, making commuting extremely easy. Second is it's proximity to the Cathedral. Finally the have an excellent breakfast buffet which offers more than anyone could ask for. My only drawback is that you have to talk through the lobby to get to the exercise equipment. Overall it's a great hotel to stay at while in Cologne.

The friendly service has caught up with me at the reception a! Where I was served to happen! At the bar I find the staff very class in particular the Service Force Marion!

Decent hotel. Good location in Cologne. Breakfast area, however, has a light waiting room ambience.

Nice hotel in a good location almost directly at the Central station. If you stay only one night and are a Platinum member, you have a good chance to upgrade. If room service is waived, there are additional points for the rewards account. Also very good is the lounge for Plantin and gold members with a good selection of breakfast and dinner.

A phenomenal hotel in the heart of Cologne with close access to the central hub and the cathedral. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English (they can tell you're not German). The rooms are clean and the hotel provides a free internet package (with Marriott rewards card acceptance). Great hotel fitting of a great city.

The good: Friendly staff, large, nicely A/Ced rooms and an awesome complimentary executive lounge for Marriott platinum members with excellent breakfast, beer and coffee. The bad: Rooms feel a little dated and could use some renovation but I’m being quite picky when I say that. They’re not run-down by any means, but a fresh carpet and some new drapes would really freshen the place up. The parking garage is also incredibly tight. I did see folks getting mid size SUVs down there (BMW X5 etc) but it must have been a heart stopping experience. I was driving a Mercedes E-class which is a full-size sedan and it was very tight. Compared with the Marriott Courtyard which has a modern garage that may be a consideration if you drive a larger vehicle.

Please be cautious in booking this hotel. While it may be a beautiful hotel, and I've been a very loyal and active Marriott Rewards customer for years, the service team at Cologne Marriott were quite frustrating to work with. I made an honest mistake, not noticing the nonrefundable notice when booking online (have never encountered with Marriott). I then notified Cologne Marriott immediately when I did see the notice (18 days prior to my reservation), and yet the GM himself refused to reimburse me for a very very very very expensive cancellation. I travel ~100 days/ yr for work and pleasure, and unfortunately this one disappointing experience may switch my loyalty away from Marriott. It definitely will prevent me from staying at or recommending this specific Cologne Marriott Hotel.

Double beds are small. Sheets are cool and soft. Bathrooms are clean. Check-in is tedious. Food is scrumptious. Executive lounge balcony is beautiful.

Very good stay at the Marriott in Cologne. Very nice room, lobby a little noisy but very comfortable, quality bar. The room is very comfortable and has standard facilities. Missing a LAN cable that the hotel no longer lends. Too bad because the free Wi-Fi is not super efficient, inconvenient to work.

Very beautiful, professional, and very good food. In general, very good. The only problem was the noise on the first floor. The world that spoke outside could be quite clearly heard inside the house.

Brilliant hotel, and of I could, I'd give it 10 out of 5. Marriott hotel is 5 minutes away from the station, which makes it super easy to get to from the airport. As a bonus, it's the same distance away from the cathedral, which is the main tourist attraction. Everything about Marriott hotel is great. Polite, professional and friendly staff that will make you feel like a very important guest. Delicious food at the buffet, always kept warm with plenty for everyone, and with a great variety (continental, English breakfasts, tons of jams anf honeys, several juices, tea flavours — basically, everyone can find what they like in there). Rioms are top class as well.

Beautiful hotel located very close to the Cathedral. Food was lovely. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. A very modern yet classically decorated hotel. Not a bad thing to say about this hotel.

A good hotel in a very convenient location, a few minutes walk from the main railway station. The breakfast buffet was good, although it would have been expensive if we hadn't got a promotional rate with breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our standard room had a decent sized bathroom with a proper walk-in shower (no pointless bath). Our only real criticism would be that we could hear the people in the neighbouring rooms.

It's walking distance (only two blocks) from the main train station and Dom. Staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Room was modern, good size with comfortable bed. Mini fridge is available for your use. Executive lounge was great as there is a computer to use for free, at evening time, plenty of drinks including liquors and wine/beer, beverages and at breakfast, you can get most of basics like fruit, egg (boiled or scrambled), bread and yogurts, cereals. Good Wi-Fi and gym with many different machines and sauna available 24 hours! Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would most likely to come back. Many good restaurants nearby too.

The rooms are looking bit dated and old fashioned at this well-located business hotel. Location is very central. And staff were all great. I know your can't refurb hotels every two years, but things like cheap-feeling towels, black marks in showers, and loose toilet seats can be fixed easily. No need to be so stingy with the shower gel too, guys. Breakfast prices were quite ridiculous. We grabbed a sandwich elsewhere. My Mother ordered a jug of water through room service, and it somehow came to 9 euros. Bizarre.

Can't fault the proximity to the station and Dom, and the staff were very polite and efficient, but the hotel felt a bit tired, mundane and lacking in atmosphere. The room was big enough but I had to ask for an extra blanket as it got cold, the amenities were a bit stingy and towels were rough and tired… we didn't eat breakfast as it was 27 euros — totally ridiculous and targeted at those who can expense the cost.

Very well trained staff wz very welcoming and helpful spirits :) I spent only one night but really enjoyed a lot. I left wz heavy bags, so Max, one of the staff there helped me walking to z station wz his trolley until he made sure that everything is ok … Really a very good and highly recommended one, specially wz its location high advantage, it's very near to z station n the city shopping area :)

Dear Readers, we all know that reviews all over the Internet, in case of doubt "modified". Why, however, a rating is published in the someone, the Hotel is very quiet assessed then it is somewhat exaggerated. The Hotel is centrally located, so in the middle of the city and also in the vicinity of churches (+bells). Of course, this Hotel due to its Central location all the advantages for tourists, but we should, on the carpet, stay, please.

A dream room. And a huge bathroom. Not to mention the breakfast. Simply gorgeous.

Fantastic hotel — superb food, ambience and helpful staff. We loved it. Food served late into the evening and even after midnight there are snacks. We had warm homemade crisps with a sour cream dip and they were so yummy. The bar prices were not too expensive; the cocktails fabulous. We will always aim to stay in a Marriott Hotel in future after having had such a wonderful relaxing and pleasant stay here this past weekend (Dec 2014).

It is way to expensive for what it is. The rooms are small. It's a bit old fashioned. They tell you, you get a Queen size bed, but in reality what they call "Queen Size Bed" is just the normal size, so that's really disappointing. We paid a lot of money for 1 night, in another hotel we'd have had the suite for the same price, and it was a disappointing experience, would not recommend it. Never a Marriott Hotel for us.

“Super sightseeing Hotel” Who in Cologne, a Sightseeing Tour plans or in one of the Musical, cabaret or theatre would like to, is in the in the year 2005 opened 4-star Marriott Hotel Cologne" in good hands. From the Hotel, there are, for example, only about 200 meters from the main railway station and the historic old town, the world-famous Cologne Cathedral. Also to the banks of the Rhine, with its pleasure is the way even shorter. The Hotel, with its 365 really elegantly decorated rooms, is located in the heart of the metropolis of Cologne. Also the "Music Hall" is only 300 m away. It couldn't be better. For us, a stylish Hotel in Cologne city centre offers spacious rooms and a modern gym. All the rooms are well furnished, have a comfortable workplace and the Windows are well insulated, so that no noise affect sleep. We particularly liked the very comfortable King Size bed", with its extremely high sleeping comfort. In the Lobby, and the Bar offers free Wi-Fi. Guests can Relax in the plush Bar and Lounge with its cosy Seating area. Recommendation: Instead of some overpriced hotel garage with approximately 25, 00 EUR, we have the more spacious car Park opposite, for only 15. — €/Day used. Particularly expensive, we also found (if you pay extra), the Büfettfrühstück with almost 30. — €.

Rooms in very good condition. Very quiet. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Nicer than the Hyatt. Good location near the Dom, rooms feel fairly new and are spacious. If you have access to Executive Lounge, it's really nice. Free beer, wine, breakfast, and light dinner snacks. Nice espresso machine too, open until 12am.

Well service is relative. Moderately friendly reception, no free Internet in the rooms (Hello! Welcome to the year 2013).
Rooms are good size and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet is distributed somewhat cluttered but good.
