My wife and I were from 29.09.2017 to 02.10.2017 guest at the Cologne boarding house in the Weiden till 54. This is located in a one-way street and there are no parking facilities, because the entire pastures and the entire district is parked with cars full. If you find a parking possibility by luck, you have to pay 1, €0 per 20 minutes. The entire Willow Alley and the surrounding district are inhabited with Turkish inhabitants and their shops are also in this alley. An employee of this small reception welcomes the guest friendly and does not hand over a key but an electronic door card. But that was also the case with technical progress. The question of a suitable parking for the car was answered with a "I don't know" and succinctly with your own search for a parking garage. However, no address or directions to a parking garage could be supplied. So completely inkompedent.
Google then shows that the next car park is a 2 minute drive away and is located in the MediaPark. Parking costs 15, — € per day. This will make a whopping 45 in three days, in addition to parking fees. But the car is safe and dry for the first time.
In the pension there are 4 floors with two rooms each. Toilet with Duschkabiene are always located in a mezzanine and they then share the guests of these two rooms. Our double bed room was spacious and bright with three large windows, curtains and a curtain to the Vertunkeln. The wireless network is very poor and unstable. Internet is not really fun, man should prefer to surf with the smartphone or check his emails. TV reception via antenna leaves also to be desired. In total, the room made a neat and clean impression. The curtains are also necessary, because a bright neon lamp is installed right across the road and it is very bright at night. At night you can hardly sleep with the window open, as it is very noisy. The kiosks and snacks are open until 04:00 a. M. And the Turkish inhabitants have a different daily routine as we Germans. Tuned cars nozzles through the alley until early and it is very loudly spoken and sung. The alley is very unkempt and it muffelt everywhere. Breakfast is not available in the guesthouse. But there are 300 meters further a baker, which has opened from 06:00 pm and offers among other delicious coffee and sandwiches, also on Sundays and holidays is open. The S-Bahn is about 10 minutes walk and you can drive in all directions of Cologne. The Cologne Cathedral is about 20 to 30 minutes walk or two S-Bahn stations.
The pension is centrally located in Cologne, you can reach all the sights by the S-Bahn. We will definitely not book this guesthouse again and do not recommend it to anyone.
