Great place! Perfect rooms and service, and the old town is very charming.

Quiet, cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious. Very soft pillows and blankets. On some towels there are stains, but as there are many towels in the room it is not critical. Buffet breakfast with a rich assortment of fruits, fish, meat and pastries.

SPA top for just awesome, relaxing and fine cuisine. At check-in you are welcomed very friendly. No hackneyed phrases.

All around great service, well maintained hotel with very nice Spa area. The food was absolutely great. We will come back like only to recommend.

Want to complain about the woman who is responsible for the internship! I've submitted my application, and only in 4 weeks I have received a letter, where it stood for a talk invited me. Sounds not bad, but seems to be that the woman has a main degree and had a 5 in german really! Mega many spelling errors, I had applied for an internship and a letter sent it me what is actually intended for an education. My friend which has at the same time submitted the application with me, was mega "screwed" because the wife did send an email with the promise, but to the wrong email address (in the application as the right). Well, as she then called, they just mean that there are no internship, because she has not said to her! Really rude. Sad, that a 4 star hotel can write without spelling errors, I can not recommend it you only because the woman who is responsible for the placement and easy mega exploited their trainees. Otherwise, it would be a really nice hotel :)

We celebrated our wedding there and came back for several occasions. The management of the wedding was outstanding. The food in the normal restaurant itself can be classified as very good. We did not test the Soldan-Restaurant. The service in general is excellent. There might be rare occasions of flaws which only come to your attention because one is used to a sensationally polite and helpful staff. As already stated by other reviewers the SPA area is a place of pure beauty of relaxation. Of course this all has it's (monetary) price. The hotel the best in the region and can be unreservedly recommended. You have to try that SPA!

Sonne Frankenberg is an absolute wonderful Hotel and destination. The three restaurants, the SPA and the rooms are an absolute perfect setup and just everything is of high quality with a great attention to detail. The quality of service and friendliness of the entire team is absolutely amazing. We stayed there for 6 days and just enjoyed every single day. We can't wait to return.

The room numbers run even the staff to misunderstandings. "The rooms are just opposite" was said, but were only about different stairwells accessible. The reception approached, got a patzige answer. The GL was the Problem but then, to the complete satisfaction solved. The staff stands with the food/drink menus are still at loggerheads. In the Cafe was just a show for all provided and in the Restaurant there were times English times English-language menus. The service and the kitchen was spotless. For a further stay, the Service was perfect. You can feel the Effort in to quality.
