Very nice hotel in a quaint neighborhood. Outstanding restaurant that served best food we had while in Germany.

Very nice hotel with cozy and cheerful flair. There is also a huge breakfast buffet in the morning. The rooms were also in good condition.

With a clear delay we landed in Schönefeld after midnight and missed the handover for our apartment on the Kastanienallee. Several hotels in the direction of Alexanderplatz were fully booked and we were literally on the street after 2 o'clock in the morning. At the chestnut yard ' Frei ' lit and we met a VERY oncoming night porter. There was a single room and the suite. We received the suite and a great breakfast buffet for 60 euros in the associated 'schankwirtschaft' above! Fantastic and also worth 10 stars! A heartfelt thank you to the rescuer!

Everything about this hotel was marvelous. The location was good making it easy to walk around or take the public transit. The breakfasts were superb. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable.

Cosy, quiet and good price. Tram stop in front of the hotel is perfect to move from and to the centre of the city. Travel cards can be purchased at the hotel counter.

Happy stay at Kastanienhof Hotel in Berlin. i spent two lots of five nights with one night in the middle, at this modest neighbourhood hotel in October. I was really happy there. For my first visit I had a luxury double room, with the most comfortable bed and pillows. A kettle with mugs, table and chair and a quiet outlook. This room has a balcony although during my visit it rained and was too cold to sit outside. The second visit I got a superior double room, which was equally well equipped and perfectly adequate. Both rooms have small shower rooms but everything in them you could want. Really nice modern sanitaryware, a big shaving mirror, glasses and plenty of plugs for appliances and devices. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, it didn't look particularly interesting. The staff however, were very helpful, thoughtful and always available.

Excellent hotel. V friendly and helpful staff. Rooms v clean. And food in restaurant highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again. Preferred it to Circus hotel.

It is very clean (I haven't had such a clean room for a long time) the staff is very friendly and accommodating from the reception to the maid.

We spent 7 nights at the Kastanienhof and were delighted with our stay. The room was wonderful — spacious even by North American standards. The staff was the best of any of the hotels we stayed in the next 2 weeks — they were always available and very helpful. The breakfasts were great — offering lots of variety. Extra bonus — the hotel was able to sell us stamps and transportation ticket — no other hotel offered this. The hotel is situated in a very interesting area of Berlin — full of young families and a variety of shops and restaurants and still accessible to all of Berlin. Highly recommended!

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The reception was extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs had wonderful food. The tram was nearby so transportation was handy. Good place to stay and the price was reasonable.

A very good hotel, very conveniently located, quiet rooms to the courtyard, very friendly service, everything "Pikobello", gladly I come again at the appropriate occasion.

Nice, a bit old-fadhioned hotel in a perfect love. Neither the hot water nor the blinds to the windows worked properly in our room and when we asked to change rooms the friendly and helpful staff complied. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We spent a lovely 3 days at Hotel Kastanienhof in Berlin — the staff helped us use public transportation and plan/pace our sightseeing. Loved the breakfasts, the restaurant for dinner was great. The room was comfortable, quiet, laid out efficiently. Will definitely return to Berlin for a longer trip AND will stay at Hotel Kastanienhof.

My wife and I stayed at the Kastanienhof while on a tour of central Europe in May 2017. The room was comfortable, well-appointed and quiet. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant provides world-class food at reasonable prices. The entire hotel has an early 20th Century flavor/ambience that was truly enjoyable, right down to the single creaky step in the hallway! Add all this to its most-desirable location, and you will understand why my wife and I wlll stay there again, and again, and again!

We had a very good experience with our stay at the Hotel Kastanienhof. The staff was helpful and the facility was clean and comfortable. Also, we were able to access the useful mass transit system from the street passing directly in front of the hotel. And, the local area had many fine restaurants. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

This was our first time to Berlin. The location of the hotel was great. The neighborhood has a lot of great shops and restaurants. There were also many options for public transportation. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing to complain about this hotel where the service is very nice. Having a room on the street was not awkward.

Stayed here for a few days in April 2016. All in all, it was a terrific place to stay. Really nice to be staying in a small-ish family run hotel. Close to good public transport links and the surrounding area is a treat to explore. Highly recommended.

Pleasant hotel in the Prenzlauerberg neighborhood. The building is on a streetcar line, so there may be some room noise, but the windows seal very well. There are also automatic outdoor shades that keep the room cozy. The room was fairly large, with a decent sized bathroom (hard water). The staff was very friendly and helpful with local information and transit passes. The breakfast was a quite extensive buffet, with small carafes of coffee for each table with warm milk. The neighborhood is fairly interesting, and you can easily walk to sights, or take public transit.
