Only a short walk to the local station… Nice clean rooms, good breakfast. Although the area is a little run down, for the price it is well worth it as it's only a short trip to the centre of Berlin.

It's a great hotel. Clean, cozy. A convenient location.

Breakfast extensive, staff very friendly. For four stars but unfortunately no longer in the best condition. Unfortunately, no air conditioning on the booked rooms and windows is hardly resistant to volume.
Bath relatively tight.

This is a fantastic Hotel at a great location. Easy walk to and from S Bahn. The area is also full of great little spots to eat and drink. Rooms are always clean and well appointed. This trip the room had been updated with some cool modern touches. Staff is helpful and could speak English well.

I'd highly recommend this hotel based on the location and value. Staff are exceptionally friendly and the rooms are a good size for a European hotel. Ask for a newly renovated room in order to get AC. Europe in general is not well prepared for warm weather.

The hotel is old but okay. Rooms are fairly clean and breakfast is good. Rooms don't have Air-conditioning but a loud fan is provided. Outside can be noisy so opening the window is not a good idea.

Like to come back! Central location. U and S-Bahn in a few minutes. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was really great, you can only recommend. Rooms were clean and beautiful. 1 — point: At these prices you can expect air conditioning, here there was only one fan which unfortunately does not really bring much with feelings 30 ° at night. But otherwise will gladly come back!

Nice hotel, very good breakfast, small fitness room, sauna and roof terrace. Great area with huge selection of reasonably priced restaurants. Excellent micro brewery (Hops & Barley) and gin bar (Ginzilla) close by. Have stayed there several times.

Hotel overall ok but a bit pricey for the quality and looks of the place. The decoration is very average. Rooms are fine. The breakfast is decent but not tasty. Staff is nice and helpful.

4 star hotel with private parking. Rooms with internet, telephone and TV. Shower and toilet in the room. Breakfast was versatile and for everyone.

Very well maintained hotel, cozy rooms and a super nice and professional staff. Breakfast buffet with good selection and very tasty. Public transport is easily accessible, as is the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. The hotel is in the middle of Friedrichshain, well connected to the local transport, but still quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful — especially the service at breakfast was great!

Very well placed hotel in a vibrant area.

Decent breakfast, maybe 7/10. Nice spacious, German rooms. Functional. Parking for you and your golf cart. Drinks and whatnot after dark. Quiet area but close to the hipster lands. Avoid the hipster lands.

The hotel is a little bit over the years but we felt very comfortable here. Staff was friendly and polite. In any case, the breakfast is recommended!

This is my favourite "classic" business hotel in the neighborhood. There are other more hipsterish places but Upstalsboom is quiet and provides a good breakfast (with an abundance of coffee).

A few days ago, on the 25th of 12/2017 the Christmas brunch, but not too late for a few lines. This Christmas meal was also unchanged excellent and varied, as we have known it for almost 15 years now. It is 100% recommended. A great value for money. But what would it be without the enchanting Heidrun Voss, here called deputy, together with the whole team for a relaxed festive atmosphere. A heartfelt thanks to the kitchen and service. Anytime again. With loving greetings and good wishes for 2018 from an "almost" neighbor.

Ok The carpet is dated but good the rest is great; First the breakfast there is everything from mackerel to bircher passing through the braid with dry fruit; The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and neighborhood super nice This is the second time and we will come back…

I understood, that is difficult to have restaurant at evening. In case of good quality and reasonable price, you should test again. Not all guest like to bring in Pizza. Eating in your bar is feeling like Mc Donald. Seams, you had not good experience with Mini Bar and stopped this service. This support the guest to bring in. Its not easy today, but you asked: what can we do better? Summary: For 4 star Hotel now at the low limit, sorry. Years ago 2000 — 2010 it was better over all.

Only spent two nights here but it was a really good experience. Clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast selection and very pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again if re-visiting Berlin — a lovely city with so much to see.

Upstalsboom hotel is located at Gubener Straße 42. It is relatively close to Simon-Dach Straße, where there are many shops and restaurants. The rooms are nice, though a tad narrow. Hotelemployees are really nice and helpful, the culmination, however, is the absolutely marvelous breakfast. Nothing to complain about, although I would have liked a swimming pool…

Hotel very well located in a lively area but hotel dated to the outdated decoration and carpets of corridors and rooms very limited.

I always stay in this hotel. I like the surrounding area with cool places to eat, and nice vibe, it's very clean and quit. And easy to get to anywhere.

Nice hotel, should be a bar on the roof where you've nice view on the fernsehturm of Berlin and where you can relax well.

Good hotel with nice friendly staff.
The rooms are large enough. The only thing is that the TVs are too small for room size.
Otherwise good offers with gym, sauna and nice roof terrace for sunny weather.

Rooms are small compared to US standards. Beds are comfy, rooms are very clean. Hotel staff is exceptional.

Plus: Spacious rooms, super breakfast served late, rooftop, great neighborhood.
The least: Well it lacks charm eh, it's not a AirBnB.

Large room, breakfast with plenty of choice is good quality.

Very loud is it when you have a room to the street. Location is great. The rooms are okay. For Breakfast there is a good selection and coffee was there right at the table.
