Short version : Overall a very nice hotel which does not look it from outside but rooms are comfortable (bed highlight, shower low point) with a breakfast that makes up for a lot. Long version: This a bit of a mixed bag the hotel. I would give it 4.5 stars but not available. From the outside the hotel looks a bit dated (the facade needs a bit of a update). Staff was helpful and friendly and check in was uneventful. Room (deluxe business room) was nice and bed very comfortable. Airco was a bit too noisy, even on lowest setting. Bathroom had update fittings but looked a bit dated overall and the shower is really not 5 star. Showerhead small and low water pressure not what you expect in a modern 5 star hotel. Breakfast is definitely the highlight of the hotel. Staff professional and high quality products available. I asked for pancakes (see photo) and that was made to order and beautifully presented and very tasteful. Tea is not in bag but lose leaves the way it should be. Everything you could wish for is there, one of the best I ever had. Wanted to go to the SPA but that was with obstacles. The SPA itself is nice (water a bit chilly but personal preference), however elevator to it was broken (that can happen). A sign said I should take the stairs. There were stairs in the neighbourhood but they had a sign on them use in emergency only. No other stairs there so in end took them (no automatic lighting but switch you had to guess which was the right one). No sign to the SPA this way so bit wondering around and yes found the SPA. There has to be a better way of getting your guest to a SPA as this way. Stairs to the SPA has to be clearly marked and signs inside the stairs also should be there. Same goes for lighting. The "benefit" of this is that it was very quiet in the SPA. Check out again was uneventful. So to summarize: A very nice hotel which does not look it from outside but rooms are comfortable (bed highlight, shower low point) with a breakfast that makes up for a lot and almost worth a stay on its own.
