Christian and Ilona are the best hosts I’ve ever experienced in all my travels. They make you feel at home and treat you like royalty.

I was at a wedding at Abenberg Castle. The castle itself is great, view and ambience top! My girlfriend and I were less satisfied with the food. Portion too small and the roast beef way too through, for the price I would have expected more. In addition, a waiter poured soup on my jacket hanging over the chair. Unfortunately, I was made aware of this too late by a seat neighbour. The operator was then no longer seen. I would have expected more from a 4-star hotel.

Ambience: Super. Beautiful castle with great views.

Food: Very tasty breakfast buffet.

Cleanliness: Glasses at the breakfast buffet dirty. Day blankets in the castle tower with ominous white spots. Already reference on the chair in the castle room with sweat edges.

Room Castle Tower: Very nice view, bathrooms clean and relatively modern. Unfortunately bad cut but is just a castle tower. Mattresses very soft.

Room Guest House: Generously cut. Beautiful clean bathroom. 2 extra beds for children were 2 mattresses on the floor.

Price/performance: defective

By and large, it couldn't rip the great location out. For a 4 star house you can expect a little more. Especially when it comes to cleanliness. If an x arbitrary hotel were without such a location you would have to change something quickly or you soon disappear from the screen. Very bad.

Parking only for residents directly below the castle, nevertheless for disabled people to walk to the castle itself still a bit. Castle chapel closed, opening hours not to be experienced. However, the Klöppelmuseum is the absolute highlight. On two levels, history and techniques are explained in german and English in a comprehensible and clear way. The exhibits are well illuminated. In Schulbladen there is a real treasure. €2.00 entrance fee is worth the visit in any case. The castle itself is well labelled in its components, but unfortunately only in German. The castle looks powerful and defiant and very impressive, the view over the country from above is magnificent.

Good hotel, unfortunately the room is in the guest house. This means that you need a 5-minute walk to the restaurant and breakfast.
The restaurant is a bit too expensive I find. Both food and breakfast are very good.

Despite the lack of buffets because of the few guests, which was ok, plenty of breakfast was served. The service was very nice. The rooms in the tower can only be reached with steep stairs. The beds were too short for large people, limited up and down, no slats.

A castle worth seeing With two Museums. Recommended is the Restaurant in the castle hotel, where you can eat well and not overpriced. Family parties and corporate events can also be held Here.

I am disappointed with my visit.
The single room was in a secluded house in the Old Town rather than the castle. (The city's former poor house)
The price was far too excessive for the room. For £40-50 I might have turned a blind eye. (I paid £69)
The room is very small, the internet is slow, the TV reception is very bad and the TV is also very small.
Location: Close to the castle and the church. Otherwise there is NOTHING here!
All in all, the single room is not worth 4 hotel stars and certainly not the good reviews at Booking and Google.
I can't judge how the double rooms are.

Unfortunately, the kitchen did not hold what the menu and ambiance promised. The service staff were very helpful and the attached guesthouse deserves a "small but fine" predicate.

Guesthouse: simple, but everything there breakfast: loving and very tasty castle itself: Wonderful view, great festivals staff: friendly.

If you are looking for brown stink bugs in your room, this is the best place to stay. I got the first one out of the window. But there have always been more. That was in the tower room. After that, I was accommodated in the guesthouse. This does not correspond in any way to the price performance ratio. Makes a very familiar impression. Reading lamp flickered all the time. Phone. For reception was not even plugged in the jack. Then I called with my cell phone and had the manager on it. Very, very rude. I'm not supposed to do that. And that's just beetles. Even if I don't want to have it in most of my room. In the morning, another beast on the carpet.
Fruit Platter were three already somewhat wrinkled apples. 10 euros were charged for one liter of cola. Mini bar I have not been able to discover. The location of the castle is beautiful. Unfortunately there is nothing else worth seeing. The place is extinct. And the breakfast was OK. That's why one star.

Wonderful ambiance for celebrations, very friendly and helpful service and delicious food in the restaurant dialect-definitely worth a visit!

We were there for the creepy dinner "Dracula". We were very well entertained. The four-course menu was excellent — we really enjoyed it. Beverage prices are expensive. Water bottle 10 euros. The hall is very modern as a medieval ambience would be more beautiful.
From the outside the castle is very beautiful.

The food was good to very good, the service efficient and yet friendly. I can't say much about the price, we were at a Theater+Dinner event.
The appetizer was fantastic and so was the soup. With the main course I would have liked a little more salt, unfortunately at that very moment none of the service staff could be reached. The dessert was good in the interaction of the individual components.
The ambience is beautiful, beautifully located in the castle. Only the parking spaces are somewhat limited, but because of the location is also understandable.
Despite the packed hall, the air was good, not too warm but not too cold. Also the toilets were easy to reach and clean.
On the positive side, the elevator, which also allows people with disabilities to participate in events in the hall and reach the toilets, is positive.

Super old castle in top condition, food very good — but the prices covered a little. Staff very nice and accommodating. A Wiener schnitzel (of course veal). Rooms very comfortable…

Are spontaneously returned to a coffee and a piece of cake (both really highly recommended) and were inspired by the hospitality and the ambiance.

A great hotel with nice rooms in the old tower — that has atmosphere! Hassle-free booking and check-in – even easy changes possible. Friendly staff and attentive service. Clean and quiet rooms. Licks and varied breakfast buffet with all kinds of treats. I'd love to come back! Nice basement vault as restaurant.

The food is really good, and the ambiance is totally.

We spent a beautiful murder mystery dinner at Burg Abenberg. The menu was excellent, the staff was very nice and friendly.
We were the first time at Burg Abenberg, but certainly not the last Time.

I found myself well. Restaurant with excellent wine list. Small rooms.

Fantastic location also for Big (GOOD) e celebration events, Fabulous hotel rooms and clean economy room in the nearby guesthouse, a la carte food is expensive, but mostly good to Exclusive. Caution with menu and beverage packages: The landlords initially give themselves to the customer friendly and cooperative, but after the event change their conception on the subject of lump sums several times, follow-up invoices and do not shy away from having even so absurd 3 — To find a right-to-face demand for legal redress — trust look who!

The place is definitely great. All clean and historic environment. Yet, Wi-Fi was barely working & we couldn't open the windows in our room (because it was raining and they could only be fully opened). The breakfast was OK but no real burner.

Outstanding views and great service. Accommodation is actually in the Castle Tower.

IT is a beatiful castle, but be careful with the public Busses. They dont come often.

Staff: 3 Sterne (manche super freundlich zuvorkommend, andere genervt spöttisch und geben miese Kommentare ab)
Drinks: 2 Sterne (miese Auswahl, keine echte Cola, zu Große Weinkarte, Bier 3x Chlorig gekommen)
Here, one can improve much on the Castle!
