Very personal and excellent service, air-conditioned and cozy rooms.

Central location, quiet rooms, rustic restaurant, parking.

Hotel directly opposite the train station. Opening the window is not recommended as trains can be heard day and night. Our room was already a bit old and yet very small. But the staff was nice throughout. Don't have a second stay here, however.

A beautiful historic ambience, good rooms, excellent Restaurant, rich Breakfast and very good bar. The service staff are all extremely friendly and polite, special requests were gladly fulfilled. It was a wonderful weekend, thank you.

Beds comfortable, staff friendly & hotel is clean! Slept well. Could hear some street noise, but didn’t deter me from sleeping!

Stayed on the fourth floor overlooking the hauptbahnhof. Great views of the sunset everynight and the windows can be opened to let in the fresh air. Danke!

Very nice old house! But it is not a castle. Villa it hits rather but very nice and nice staff. Located next to the train station and the zoo is also right next door. Good rail connection to the city centre. Tickets are available at the reception. Great thing! On feet in the city center good 20min. Were there for the Summer Games in the castle. Absolutely make! It's really great!

Well-run hotel! Very attentive staff, nice rooms and a good breakfast. A special eye-catcher: an elevator as a technical monument. You are on foot in 3 minutes at Karlsruhe Central Station and thus have an ideal connection to the public local and long-distance traffic.

The manager at reception has a really arrogant attitude. There's a bad smell in the room and the noise kept me awake. What a nightmare. Absolut no recommendation.

Beautiful old hotel with many new accents. It is directly central, the train station and the city centre are within walking distance. Opposite the hotel is directly the zoo and a beautiful park complex. The staff of the hotel is friendly and accommodating.
The rooms are nicely large, the beds very comfortable.

Went there for a conference the room was nice and the food good.

The brunch is unfortunately not worth the high price. Drinks are only up to 12uhr inclusive and the service staff was not exactly friendly.

We were there for the brunch and we are very disappointed. For 4 stars and €38 per person, I would have expected something better. We had dirty dishes and the lady from the service seemed overwhelmed from the start. The food was unfortunately not so great either: Vegetables cooked, asparagus fibrous and everything very monotonise-heavy …

Our room is in need of renovation. The bathroom very narrow, the toilet is far too low for the shower door to open. In part, the tiles had jumped. The wooden furniture in the room was partly very fragrucated and had extreme signs of use. Air conditioning works. No bedside sockets. The breakfast was very good. Great choice and nice fleet operation. The dinner was relatively high-priced but not completely satisfactory. Zb were the spätzle overcooked, the vegetables mushy and the portion of veal liver more than uncluttered.

Chic Hotel that caters to its 4-star character, even if this building is not a castle, but only close to the city palace.
It is directly vs. From the central station and is so very easy to reach.
The rooms are adequate and vary in size depending on location, but even the single rooms are spacious. The bathrooms are small, clean but not modern. In everything but everything in a normal state.
Unfortunately, you can hear the trams passing by on all floors.
Staff is nice and helpful.
The hotel has a great sauna area for which the 5€ is worth the extra. The fitness room is free, small and simple and not all equipment is functional.
The breakfast is ok but with no big choice at the buffet. There are fresh baked goods and tasty smoothies, but only a few salads, sausages and cheese.

I only had to sleep one night there since my connecting train was unfortunately already gone but I felt very comfortable there.

We had a schuckeliges attic room. Very pleasant time spent there.
Also a must: the special beers by testing. My favorite: Alcohol-free beer "over nn" — with Mangonoten a treat.

Nice hotel in direct location to train station and friendly staff. Other parts of Karlsruhe are easily accessible by public transport. My room 126 was very narrow, for example, the bathroom door did not go completely on as it bumped against the opposite sink.

We are always happy with the brunch at the Castle Hotel. The service is right as well as the value for money. The house is still being renovated and thus the ambiance even more beautiful.

Ate at the restaurant Schwarzwaldstube. Food was ok but the service was the worst experience. Waiter brought the wrong food and started arguing with the guest about what was ordered. Won't go there again.

Our rating refers exclusively to the restaurant.
Here is just a selection of the topics that we have encountered: Side salad to serve half of the main course is not at all in a 4 * hotel.
Not to serve dessert without cutlery also.
Not even registering the missing cutlery is a no-go.
We had to ask for cutlery after 20 minutes.
But the highlight: we paid EUR 47 for a 3-course meal because it was on the card. However, the individual aisles would have cost only EUR 35.
So please be careful when you go to dinner — and don't expect a 4 * restaurant. There are real 4 * restaurants in the area of Karlsruhe!

We come to the Castle Hotel every year for a birthday brunch. The high rooms, the large mirrors, the chandeliers etc. Create a great ambiance. When eating, we usually stop at the delicious breakfast buffet with lots of fresh food. The service is top. Unfortunately, no coffee drinks are included in the brunch except filter coffee. At the price you could simply set up a fully automatic machine, as is the standard for most hotels today.

Nice friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, especially the bathroom we liked. Everything has an upscale style, you definitely feel comfortable. Also the breakfast is great, there is something for everyone, little extras like small cucumbers or chives for the scrambled eggs make it pleasant, even the coffee from the vending machine tastes impeccable and the premises are also great, you do not sit on the neighbor The lap parking lots are available, WLAN also works, but could be a little faster earned 5 star:)

Nice four star hotel! Good relation Quality/price! Reconditioning an old classical building has been successful. Accommodations are in line with a luxury hotel. Nevertheless… The breakfast room is too far from the buffet facilities. The breakfast buffet could be more in line with international cooking … ciboulette (chive) in the eggs is not a classic practice. Boiled eggs were overcooked; eggs sunny side up could be added in the menu. About dining: restaurant room is nice and the cooking is OK.

We were there 1 night! The rooms are renovated and top! Breakfast amplify and the service very friendly and helpful! A highlight is the elevator from 1914 and the loving memories of great hours of the hotel. We'll definitely be back.

The location of the hotel was my main reason for staying here, though I was expecting a lower-end hotel because of this. On the contrary, the hotel was wonderful. Clean rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff. I would gladly stay here again.

Good location (near the railway station) for those, who have an early flight from Frankfurt. Spacious rooms. Internet without remarks. Good service. Good breakfasts Classic style. The disadvantage is the lack of a coffee machine or a kettle. Overall a good impression. Thank you.

Very nice, distinguished older hotel with modern features. Large rooms, nice location near the train station and the zoo. Very nice restaurant and a good breakfast, also has outdoor area for eating and drinking.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Beds are comfortable. Shower setup is really dangerous, you have to take your shower in a little corner in order not to spill the water all over and floor is very slippery, no anti slip matts available.

A lovely hotel and very comfortable room. So conveniently located near to the Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof and city trams. I had to leave earlier than breakfast was served, and the hotel was kind enough to pack a tasty breakfast for me.

Magnificent old building (hotel). Service was very good, nice and courteous. Rooms furnished although not brand-new fashionable but functional, clean and with a bath (at least our room). The beds are very good, I slept rarely so well in hotel beds! The high ceilings (old building) are very pleasant for the air circulation in the room (I think: more air volume — m3 there's breathing is better). The breakfast buffet is TOP, a smooth one! The hotel bar is with your happy hour cocktails very recommended for (€6). The drinks are really good and need not to shy away from the comparison (I know some locations) in Karlsruhe. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and love to come again.

The hotel is situated directly at the mainstation. It is quite old, the rooms are ok, but you only get one key per room. The breakfast is ok, but nothing special.

… Of course you can see Super hotel, large and delicious breakfast buffet, friendly staff, clean room, no problem with noise from the street, super comfortable bed, that there has been a little aged, but I can not understand here negative comments! … Come back anyway in January!

Older but beautiful building with an interesting, very old Elevator (1914? ) The rooms were unfortunately without air conditioning and thus very warm. Breakfast was very good. Staff is friendly. The rooms were clean but partly already very writing.

Very good location with close proximity to the Central station, wonderful Breakfast with good Service, but unfortunately, also some Mängelpunkte: — cracked Holzpanele and worn carpet in the room -beachtlichte Lärrmbelästigung through the traffic and trams at the door (one has the feeling that the tram ride through the room) -tiny Spa, and unclear appearance of this Spa or the opening Hours on the Website -the Parking fee of 8 EUR per night on the hotel grounds I felt as outrageous.

We have the Schlosshotel in Karlsruhe us a break. So we were with the Service as well as with the staff and the room totally satisfied. Also the Breakfast has no wishes left open. The Weekend has us very well done and we are and have been from the stay absolutely thrilled. Thank you again.

The first week was very hot in the room, then a room was equipped with air conditioning free I got then. The breakfast and dinner was excellent. The service was friendly and accommodating. Internet was poor as there are always broke. Totally but one of the first hotels in Karlsruhe, and in the future my place.

Was for a weekend in Karlsruhe and from the Hotel rather disappointed. How the 4 stars is for me still a mystery. The facility has charm due to her age, but is therefore, unfortunately, also in need of renovation. Due to the lack of air conditioning was in the room etrem warm. The Hotel is from the outside of charming, historically and from the inside well. Why refurbished, you much and not the same with everything? Shower curtain and Duschstöpsel on the chain are unhygienic. My single room-bed was so tiny that I at each Turn was awake. Outrageous! What do I need a Hotel, when I can't sleep? The Breakfast caters for Vegans, a fruit salad, and. Nothing at all. Price performance is not acceptable.

NOT for business travel. The internet connection was so bad that I could not do email during the evenings. The connection would break repeatedly and when it was connected, it was incredibly slow.

Name, external view, the price and the 4 stars were on to a superior Standard, hope. I think it's great that one of the old charm receives, the old Elevator and the hallways with the great photos and the old doors. I had the feeling that any "Nazigröße" could at any time turn the corner — not because I'm Great find, but because it feels like in 1935. The castle hotel is an excellent address for medium-sized events such as weddings. Near the train station, with plenty of Parking, a very stylish, not a modern ambiance, very clean, quiet, large (depending on category) rooms with air conditioning and bath. Also the food was without any reproach and of excellent quality. Especially impressed us the good advice, to Respond to exceptional desires, the spontaneous help and the friendliness and professionalism of every single employee we have met. All this at a fair price. We would again at any time there celebrate.

Adequate but does not deserve 4 stars. Be careful of hidden costs. I was there with a group of about 20 for a nearby conference. It was clean but the room was less than expected for a four-star. Breakfast will keep you alive until lunch but was nothing special. The biggest problem was the surprise charges when we checked out. I accidently spilled some wine on the side of the bed and they tried to charge me 650+ Euro for a new bed and mattress. My colleague had spilled some red wine on his mattress (about 20 cm stain) and they charged him over 400 Euro to replace the mattress. Others had to pay for new towels they said were too stained. They threatened police and law suits. I've never heard of that kind of policy by a hotel. Accidents happen. But this seems to be how they keep their furniture fresh. So be very, very careful if you stay there. Better yet, stay at one of the other, better four stars in the area.
