We were from 01.09. — 02.09.18 for the first time at the Hotel Rio Karlsruhe and were very pleasantly surprised. We were very peace, rooms were very clean, the décor was very nice. Breakfast was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was a nice weekend in Karlsruhe and will repeat this. The hotel is close to the centre.

We had 8 people there and everyone was happy. Very nice service and great food. The breakfast was excellent. Always happy to do so again. Thumbs up.

Am here very often and always for 2-3 nights. Hotel has a very good location in the city center, good access to public transport, underground car park, restaurant and bar. Room very tastefully decorated and spacious.
However, it would be more professional to respond to customer requests stated at the time of booking. Especially if you can't take them into account. (By mail or info to the reception for a corresponding message to the guest at check-in. )

Spent 3 weeks here… Fantastic! Rooms ultra clean and modern. Staff really friendly, helpful and profesional. Ulla and Deborah need special mention as they went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant and we were always met with warm smiles. Great food too! Feels like a home away from home!

Location is near to the city, tram and AUtobahn. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is good.

The room was large and clean and the Wi-Fi worked well. However, we specifically asked for a room that could be dark. There is a window shade on the window in the room, but the bathroom has a large window without any shade so at 5am it’s as light as day! Also, the bathroom has a see through door that doesn’t close all the way so your partner can see and hear everything — not very romantic. And the coffee machine in the room was broken — bad luck for us. I expected more from a 4 star hotel.

For a 4* hotel, it has very small rooms which are loud at night. There is no Aircon so the only way to stay cool is to open the balcony window. Not a good idea if you don't like the sound of traffic in the middle of the night! However, the evening meal was very tasty, and breakfast were excellent with a wide variety.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience: dignified, unconventionally cut rooms, beautiful interiors. The breakfast amazed me: many, lovingly prepared little things (from cold cuts to salads, dips, fresh fruits/vegetables etc). Even if a record was empty, I didn't miss anything. It was all right.

The reception was friendly and helpful. From the underground garage we were able to drive directly to the reception or to the room floor. The rooms are super equipped. The shower a dream. In the bathroom everything is available, including enough space for culture bags and other. The mattresses seemed to me almost a bit too hard, but still o. K. Breakfast in the morning. It's all there you want. Birchermuesli, smoked salmon, various juices, Italian salami, fresh fruit salad. Super! If we come back to Karlsruhe, then there is only one hotel for us.

Looking quite modern from the outside. The rooms themselves are not really up to date (and given the room price you could expect something more). Good and rich breakfast buffet.

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. Location close to city center.

In two days we were in Rio! A very clean, well-run house. Very spacious clean rooms, great shower, a great bathroom! And then the beds! The mattresses were so good, that getting Up is hard! Also our dog was allowed to come along! The staff was very nice, attentive and helpful! We will come back!

Nice and quiet Hotel The hotel is located Etwasam edge of the city centre, so that you can walk well in the evening even in the city. The service is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large enough, the mattress may be a bit soft, but that's a matter of taste. The bathroom is not too small, the shower is pleasantly sized. However, it is more of an adventure to find the right temperature.
The breakfast is great! Egg dishes are freshly prepared on request, and scrambled eggs are always available. Great selection of fresh smoothies. Good choice of cereals. The service is also not objectionable.

The rooms could tolerate some color and care. The bar was very good and the advice to the drinks as well. The food was a dream just like the breakfast buffet.

We are now the third time here and have got a new room, just great. But the elders are good too. Like to stay again.

The Rio hotel has already been pretty much in the years. For example, there are no room cards, but you still get an old-fashioned room key with a giant pendant. The room was very comfortable and comfortable.
The breakfast offered a good selection and very tasty coffee.
The hotel's underground car park is rather cramped and therefore not suitable for large cars.

We booked two rooms as a family. Our wishes were individually addressed and the rooms were clean and quiet. There was a billing error at breakfast, we even missed. The breakfast itself was but plentiful and varied.
The location is quiet but central by the side street (Mühlburger Tor). Supermarket is a few meters further, to the train station with the train 10 minutes.
Underground parking is very tight. But also our van has found a free seat.
You need to know that are a part of the rooms in a new building on the other side of the road. So not enough slippers when going to the bar.

Supper great Hotel The rooms were supper, very spacious and the bathroom was gigantic. Hygiene was 1a. All very very clean. A small Punk were the beds because they are in the double rooms are almost as two contiguous single beds put in, but very comfortable. Breakfast was top-notch. Everything was there what you needed and even more :-) Service was very friendly and accommodating. We would this Hotel certainly reflected visit.

My wife and I were in the course of a truck-pick-up at the plant in Wörth, for one night, 20.08 / 21.08 2015, guests at the Hotel Rio. It has everything super fit, from dinner, Overnight stay in a double room up for Breakfast. Very nice Service at the reception, in the Restaurant. Overall, we had a very pleasant time, thank you.

Great Hotel, the rooms are big, the location 1a, nahgelegen at the stop Mühlburger Tor. Big Plus: There was a free Welcome drink at the hotel bar and the room was on prior demand earlier made ready to use. I come gladly again.

Hotel, rooms and restaurant very good. Staff in the whole which very nice until on a lady (25-35 years) is at the well off checking in tone was little rude.

Komfort-Zimmer war gut (sehr ruhig, groß, gemütlich). Abzüge in der Bewertung für den Zimmerservice, der am Samstag um 11:30 darauf bestand, das Zimmer zu reinigen. Außerdem ist die Portalseite im WLAN nutzlos und nervig. Immerhin funktionierte das WLAN gut und liefert 13 mbit/s down, 0.8 mbit/s up, 18ms ping (KabelBW).

They treat me really good! I have been in a lot of hotels and this is really a best one.

So I was now for the second time at the Hotel Rio in Karlsruhe and I don't know where my "previous" Stefan Kempf has stopped. The rooms are decorated very spacious and very geschmaclvoll and high-quality for Stadthotelerie (E. G. Lattoflex beds system). The shower could be maybe a little bigger, but the bathrooms generally offers more than enough space.
But, the best part of the whole is the breakfast. There remains no desire really by default. Reception and service are very nice, helpful and courteous.

It is very good hotel especially the new building where you can find modern rooms with everything that you might expect from a 4 stars hotel. Just a minute to Tram or Metro station. It is also near to the market street. If you would like to have great breakfast, this is your hotel.

Close to the center, great breakfest, higher fees for internet connection. Perfect for business stay.

This hotel is very pleasantly located near the city centre, in a quiet street. It is a short walk from the center and a few steps from the Kaiserstrasse tram stations from where you can go all over the city and even further away. The hotel has its own private parking, which is safe for your vehicle even if the price is rather high.
The rooms are nice and spacious. We were staying in the Annex building in front of the main building, but it was not disturbing. The building was visibly new and the rooms too. Only complaint: The lack of intimacy of the bathroom (shower).
Apart from the buffet breakfast, the hotel has a restaurant with excellent à la carte dishes.
Finally the staff is very attentive and particularly friendly. Pity that so close to the border, it does not speak at all French (English and German)
