Pleasant room welcoming staff but the restaurant a real disaster we returned our salad dishes to the kitchen and to review.

This is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff and even better views. We will definitely be back!

Pleasant welcome, clean room overlooking garden and Mont Blanc without screws. We note and appreciate the effort of decoration at the reception hall. Room repainted but with coarse finishes. Shame. Bathroom in its juice but passable. Plus: a beautiful indoor pool.

Quiet, white mountain view, good breakfast. Pool after the effort. Just a stone's throw from chamonix. What could be better?

Few kms away from the Chamonix city centre, this hotel is located in a calm locality. Rooms are tidy. Food is excellent. The view of the snow clad mountains behind the hotel is superb!

A very decent comfort hotel that allows you to really sleep at the foot of Mont Blanc and near the slopes. We regret the still crowded parking on the street side, but this must be a sign of success.

Awesome hotel to stay while you are on your journey to Mount blanc. It has got an Alps overlooking view, which you leave you breathless admiring the nature's beauty. The room is cozy enough and the lighting is just perfect to make your stay great. The breakfast was however pretty ordinary with not much option of English breakfast, but the scenic view of Alps is enough to forget everything and let you relax in natures lap.

Bed very comfortable, spacious, room very quiet and silent, no noise even the window open. Bathroom redone at nine.

3 stars of spiders…
As if the room had not seen anyone for ages… or the housekeeper was may be on holiday too… From our arrival we find the lack of rigour on this point… (Shower curtain with holes, yellow toilet brush, immaculate poop, the joints of the bathroom it is not even mentioned, dust webs and J…) Too bad I can't put the pictures! I signal it to the reception who apologizes and tells me that the necessary will be done tomorrow.
The next day always the same thing… Apart from the shower curtain "Babou" which has been changed…
So yes we booked the 1st night with a Wondebox and the 2nd night in discounts but is this really a reason to neglected so much hygiene? Especially in a hotel that displays 3 stars!
We did not have any proposal to change rooms (do not tell me that the hotel was full J have look the same day on your site) nor even a "reduction" damage the site is but we will not stay at home…

Good location Room good but maybe to refresh. Perfect new bathroom. View from the beautiful balcony! Breakfast very good. Nice Bar. Wellness area to be revisited, swimming pool "heated" not heated and just a sauna (a jacuzzi would be a +), water below the skimmeurs.
Restaurant good but the prices are a bit high compared to the restaurants in the village or Chamonix.

The pictures of the rooms seen on the site are far more flattering than the reality of the room we have occupied. Unpleasant smell of kitchen in the room. Pool water level under the skimmers, dubious pool background: we didn't swim. 3 star hotel?

Awesome views of dome du gouter on mont Blanc from our balcony. Very nice bathroom. Well priced. The room for us three was a little tight but liveable.

The hotel is a good one… hotel amenities are o. K. Rooms are o. K. But the hotel is a bit clumsy… space is not enough … from lower to upper… otherwise its o. K… the hotel is in a very calm and quiet atmosphere … Mont Blanc Chamonix is very near… only about 10/15 minutes journey by bus/car… snow capped Alps can be seen from the hotel premises … overall it's a good hotel to stay in for 2/3 days… to cap it all, the hotel is in the lap of nature…

I went to the restaurant only. Decent food.

I only booked last minute with average expectations of 3 star French fare but was delighted to find this gem of an English/American family run hotel offering 5 star levels of service. Breakfasts are all you can eat, cereals / toast with eggs, cheese and ham washed down with plenty of delicious coffee. The owner and staff are very professional friendly and customer orientated. The restaurant offers great value plats du jour in the evenings as well as the best burgers in the valley. The bar is cosy and atmospheric with its log burner, Belgian beers, live sport, friendly service and complimentary peanuts! I even left a small hood from one of my jackets behind (hadn't even noticed) but the owners got in touch and posted it home to me! — what a nice touch — what more can I say.

We had a great time in Chamonix/Les Houches in large part to our stay at Hotel du Bois. Nice room, friendly staff, and overall great atmosphere. We were extremely impressed with the food AND service we received at the Les Caprice restaurant, but would have to say our favorite part was the bar and lounge area — — no place I would have rather come after a cold day skiing! Thought location was great — easily within walking distance of nice shops and ice rink, and easy to catch a bus or train into larger shopping areas in Chamonix. Would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone.

p. S. (this is me again), our new chef and his team in the kitchen are awesome. And the Poire Pochée au Génépi is to die for.

We booked a room for one night, still happy, because we were extremely disappointed both by the service and the cleanliness of the facility. The hotel is run down and does not at all meet the quality expected of a 3 stars. The rooms are dirty, the mirrors are not cleaned, it remains dust here and there. However, the sheets are clean.
We dined at the restaurant thinking eat flat houses, which was indicated on the attractive sign in front of the hotel (burgers and fries). We found there a leave from August 15 to €22, overpriced for the quality of service and food. Input, a soup of tomatoes in a box, a passable dish (salmon and new potatoes), a dessert straight out of metro, carrefour or other. As for the burger, it was infected, completely industrial. Fries "House" swimming in oil. The service was extremely long, the burger and desserts have been forgotten. However, the restaurant was not crowded.
And do not rely on an internet connection that allows you to surf without worries as shown. Wi — Fi is slow to die! The connection on mobile is probably faster.
In summary: go your way.

I ate at the restaurant of this hotel on 30/06/12. At the time of payment (~ 10:30 pm), the server does not accept my CB (without telling me before), but claims the extra cash because "the case is closed":?. When I ask for a ticket or invoice, it gives me only the paper where he had taken my order? :
-> No trace of my passing, my money was able to land in any Pocket other than that of the restaurant.

In overall very nice seen on the aiguille du midi Nice staff. A good scrubbing will do him good to the levels of the pool and bath. And especially dinner not the low c really not good at all however breakfast and well.

Very disappointed d immediately aircraft holds by. E-mail for a room brevent, on site we had a choice with white mount, standard rooms n not appear and yet we had one here. We expect the room featured on the site, but we meet with a small room without balcony view on a roof with d spider webs in the entrance and bathroom. Please close the door between the room and the entrance to see the TV. The faucet of the bathroom is covered with limestone and the carpet didn't give any want to walk barefoot. Finally the n reception is not very good no smile, n not tried to understand our frustration when we l suggested. Icing on the cake the mower is passed to the peak hours of attendance of the pool and the garden. Here for a three-star 80 euros a night without breakfast. It a relief to know.
