Reviews of Hotel Danieli, Venice 5*
It was great to sit in this house to have Coffeetime! Sooo wonderful place! I Love it 🥰
Fantastic place to stay! Excellent location!
It will leave the Luxury Collection soon; just some more days then it becomes a FourSeasons. They stopped maintaining Service really for rude and not appropriate for that place Especially the former so good Terrace Restaurant got bar Bad experience this time.
Amazing attention and definitely the best views of Venice on its wonderful terrace! 😉🥂
💎 The best hotel, very nice, very mistic…
A legendary property. We stayed in the lagoon view suite with a picture perfect view of the Grand Canal. Your can spend days exploring this hotel. It's almost like a museum with so many details and pieces of art. This hotel should be on everyone's bucket list.
Breathtaking and beautiful decor in a historical palace — stunning views — competent, professional and charming staff and service.
Wonderful service in a spectacular hotel.
The hotel Danieli is one of the worlds best hotels especially when you want to experience luxury and real authentic history. We found the experience amazing as a family and we highly recommend it both as a week long stay plus the restaurants in the building and close by.
Wonderful place, atmosphere is lovely staff it’s very pleasant and attentive 👌 Top class.
The best service and view of Venice. We will be back to enjoy.
We felt pampered and special thought out the whole stay. The customer service is perfect, we enjoyed our very comfy snd spacious room. The food at the Trattoria was delicious. The hotel was also perfectly located for everything that we wanted to do. I recommend😊💗👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We’ve only been here one night so far, but the staff are so nice and accommodating. The building itself is beautiful, the suite is, too. We’re heading to the rooftop this morning for breakfast! The hotel is perfectly located, right next to St. Mark’s Square, and the gondolas are right out front.
Beautiful dining experience and amazing views on the terrace 💕
Full of history and staff that are extremely friendly and attentive.
Amazing place that you must stay in Venice! Splendid and awesome hotel!
Went in for an afternoon cocktail. The hotel is just amazing. Has to been seen to appreciate its interior. The staff are absolutely amazing. Made my stay in Venice.
Gorgeous, refined, friendly staff and stunning views.
Spectacular hotel and excellent treatment, I will be back.
Lovely Hotel with great location, staff and services.
Friendly and professional staff.
unique dishes worthy of an extraordinary sensory experience for the palate.
Great location, view from the wonderful terrace … Great service in the restaurant, professional availability.
Beautiful location, impeccable service, breakfast on the terrace is superb.
A hotel that makes the Venice experience perfect. Noble ambience with a lot of history, friendly staff and a fantastic location next to St. Mark's Square.
Wonderful, unforgettable lunch we had on the top floor terrace with breathtaking view! Professional, very friendly personnel, excellent meal. Highly recommended restaurant for every occasion.
Great location. Nice rooms. Amazing staff.
The Danieli is an iconic hotel in Venice.
The Serenissima lives in this building.
An amazing atmosphere, the view is superb from our room with terrace.
Excellent gorgeous unparalleled.
Wagnerian and Romantic historical amhiente. Staff who satisfy your every wish with class. Fine dining.
Wonderful hotel, among the most beautiful in the world! Unique, magical experience …
All.! fabulous overview and luxurious environments.
Beautiful room, excellent rooftop restaurant & fabulous location.
Stylish hotel with a refined atmosphere.
Every time I pass by you, it's a unique experience. Eating in the beautiful terrace on the top floor is pure emotion, straight from the senses to the heart.
A magnificent hotel, the terrace restaurant offers exceptional views of Venice, especially at sunset time.
The food is delicious and the staff at the top of our expectations.
I recommend 100%
Simply the most beautiful hotel in Venice.
Great all around experience! Would stay there again!
A wonderful experience in celebration of my 60th Birthday. Thank u for all the wonderful staff who made it so special.
Wow just wow this is a luxury hotel and they can't do enough for you. The building is amazing, our rooms not over the canal as much as I wished it was. Very near st Mark's square.
Absolutely wonderful! The views are amazing!
Amazing view and brilliant servicee!
Great Service! Roof top restaurant has a great view.
Elegant, gorgeous, comfortable room with perfect amenities and spectacular location.
Excellent service, old world charm, good food in restaurant.
Had a fantastic meal served by really nice staff the hotel was so beautiful too.
Nice hotel, very good location.
It was great to come back and seeing the excellent service still part of this historical and beautiful Hotel. Especial thanks to Roberto and Stefano, they still keeping the truly high quality of Danieli. Can't wait to come back.
A lovely old building, that is sadly poorly maintained by Marriott. Balcony windows wouldn’t shut properly, room door didn’t work properly, roof leaked and through ceiling, had constant power cuts.
Being vegan can make dining a bit challenging at times but they made the best vegan dishes I have yet to ever have in my life. This is not only the most beautiful restaurant in the world, they went overboard in the creation of our reception dinner as well as our 9 course wedding dinner which has remained the most memorable meal of our life and that of our wedding party guests whom still remind us of how amazing the meals were, the staff & of course the view… absolute magic.
Unbelievable location, excellent food, great service!
Great hotel with spacious and comfortable room, besides a historical place and lovely view. Truly a must see and stay!
Just wow! Everything you should expect from a top-of-the-line venue!
Exquisite service, interior that gives you goosebumps, amazing amenities, cuisine an bar.
Only recommendation is that perhaps an IQ test should be mandatory for UK tourists at check-in, so that they adhere to at least some etiquette instead of shouting at the piano player while using several centuries old columns in the lobby as dance poles…
Great location and views. Great restaurant, services and amenities.
Wonderful experience! Amazing service. Perfect way to end the day in this unique and wonderful city.
Absolutely beautiful. My husband and I, while on our honeymoon in 2009 had the pleasure of being guests at Hotel Danieli. Breathtaking from the lobby to the suites to the stunning views from the hotel. Great location, delicious menu, impeccable service and highly recommended.
Gorgeous hotel. Rooms well appointed and staff were friendly. Views from the suite I had were non existent but other than that a great stay.
The rooms/bathrooms are hideous, it’s congested, and the lobby is like a black hole… added bonus is I can hear people talking through the vents.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to Italy so I had forgot about the pace of much of the work here: First day a sleepy, hot bust waiting for our room. (So much for Marriott lifetime platinum status) Maybe housekeeping had a hard time getting into the quaint but awkwardly furnished room because the room keys in this establishment are like something out of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” — a combo of traditional key AND chip that’s very hard to manipulate. The hotel is a marvel to explore, but the terrace restaurant at top is ridiculously overpriced and the “fitness room” in the basement is tiny, underequipped and smells like rancid meat. It’s all about the location and the building itself, which, again, is marvelous — epic lobby (crammed with tourists) and beautifil, centuries—old sitting rooms with wonderful art. But it’s not an easy stay, and while I get luxury, nearly 70 euros for a main is ridiculous. (The bistro is the better bet. ). I have to stop writing now, because housekeeping just walked in and has no intention of leaving.
Fantastic location, nice room, and spectacular roof top restaurant.
Hotel from the tourist. Crowded and little space.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of the room! Very disappointing. I understand the hotel staying within architecture perimeters but we are sitting our room with the a/c on and it’s been on for our entire stay and the current temperature is 75degrees! It has not gotten any cooler than that.
The shower has a handicapped bar that protrudes across the center of the tub — and strategically right under the shower head — taking a shower is quite a negative experience.
… Our room leans a little — we’ll actually the whole hotel does, I understand that — but they should adjust the legs on the bed so you are not rolling off in the middle of night. The carpet and furniture — let’s just say the chair in our looks as if it came straight from the 2nd hand store. The seat cushion is so flat you can feel the springs poking through from the chair!
The carpet in our room is so worn you can see the seams where they put it together. Well actually they pieced it together and done a very poor job.
There is probably an inch of dust on the window sills and the overall quality of the room is absolutely terrible and simply put disgusting. The lobby is beautiful after that it is nasty.
The rooms are in desperate need of remodeling.
Attended the rooftop restaurant with my wife, food was delicious, service was 5 star, mentioned that my wife has allergies, which staff were fast to attend to and point out what was safe to eat on their menu, yes it’s expensive, but the panoramic views was well worth the money, yes we would love to come again, very romantic …
Amazing view blew us away. Very romantic place and food was lovely. Staff very polite and very good when coming to food allergy from someone who suffers with a nut allergy and dairy products.
Expensive, hotel super, breakfasts could be more varied, the view from the veranda is super, the location of the hotel is bombed.
Unforgettable stay in this mythical hotel. Bravo to the staff. A thousand grazie.
Excellent hotel — stayed here twice and each time excellent. Service and suite top notch :)
I slept at Danieli many years ago and I still tell it to friends: it is a unique place in the world in an incomparable location, superb treatment, museum interiors, charming rooms, give to your partner one night in this hotel is a gift from Prince Charming, let yourself be pampered by its hospitality an unforgettable memory. Obviously the prices are up to par.
Beautiful hotel and lovely atmosphere.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… This hotel is amazing. Location wise, right on the water, close to gondola stations and water bus stations, and water taxis. We're 2 minutes from St Mark's Square. Literally tons of shops and restaurants surrounding the place. The hotel staff are super friendly, the concierge is very helpful. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, especially for breakfast. The rooms are very clean. I highly recommend choosing this hotel and would return again.

Gorgeous and historied hotel! Staff was extremely attentive, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Located right next to Palazzo Ducale, and right in front of the water bus stop. I stayed here on an employee rate so I can't comment on affordability, but if you can stay here, I'd recommend it!
It was nice days with a great ambiance.
The worst mojito I have ever tried. It was also the most expensive.
I only value here the pomp the entrance with a beautiful staircase. Very well located, in front of the lagoon. At night the ground floor bar has live music.
Beautiful personal hotel with little care… We will return it's on! Really pure happiness.
Great place! ;) Be fascinated! Johanna Sciavillo.
Very nice hotel, with lots of charm.
The beds look very nice, but found it rather uncomfortable.
The service is exceptional of kindness and professionalism. What to say… service Palace. Lunch on the terrace is to be done. Thanks again. To soon… in April.
I only had a way to visit it. Absolutely gorgeous. The inner staircase is wonderful. The suites are great. Obviously great prices too.
Beautiful rooms, staff very helpful, succulent restaurant with a nice view, and a bar at the top with a pianist last Sunday I highly recommend B.
The stars are not enough to express the grandiose and wonderful Hall of this ancient Hotel. The room Metting of great value, the coffee a bit pricey but well worth the effort.
I will definitely go back.
Absolutely stunning Hotel. 5/5. Would go back in a heartbeat. Fantastic location. Loved every second. X.
Magnificent Hotel near St. Mark's Square. The service is great and the restaurant/breakfast room has a breathtaking view over the grand Canal.
A short but intense visit the bar was full so we did not have the opportunity to have a drink but the welcome is worthy of a palace the receptionist is very professional and we find the decorations or James Bond stays at these stopovers in Venice.
I look forward to spending a weekend to judge the first seen with the potential experience.
The best I've ever been to. It's more than a hotel, it's a palace made hotel. Good location, excellent service. And it's also very nice.
Secular history, a murky past over the possession of an extraordinary palace whose staircase is less than mysterious. Italy decadent, like all Europe but which signs strive a lot to correct or stop by people loving the truth. This extraordinary hotel, with impeccable service, represents a great effort to survive elegantly without losing the dignity. Thanks a lot.
We went down to drink a few drinks, unfortunately no Bellini this day (off season) and the Oldfashioned slightly too bitter for my taste.
However, a charming décor, a neat staff and a tranquility. I recommend for a moment (or more) relaxation.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Absolutely historic place to stay. Right on the edge of Venice, in a perfect spot right next to the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's square. Staff has been extremely outgoing and the breakfast in the morning is amazing with a beautiful view. Lastly, I loved having a drink and sitting by the fireplace in the lounge area on the first floor next to the staircase. Absolutely memorable experience!
I've had the pleasure of staying at Danieli on two separate occasions. Both times were great. The hotel is very well ran. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Rooms are of the period, clean and have a ton of old world charm. If you are looking for a "new" modern style room, keep looking elsewhere. Rooms are slightly expensive for the area, but Venice is expensive period. If you can afford one of the more expensive rooms overlooking the water, please do it. This is one of the most unforgettable experiences you may have in Italy. Ciao!
The history of the… Danieli Hotel Luxury Collection, Venice. Friendship and good taste always lasts in time thanks Marcel.
James Bond was shot here, you have to say more about it. Be sure to check out the hotel bar and sip a vespers martini.
HOTEL DANIELI Venice Very nice, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful panoramic terrace for breakfast, comfortable room.
Very good location, near the waterbus station, shops and St Mark's Cathedral. Hotel is in a newly renovated palace. Very luxurious and beautiful. Staying at the top floor tends to be noisy because of the kitchen located at roof top. There are rooms facing the lagoon that can be noisy during peak hours, and in rooms facing the cathedral you will hear the bells every 30-60 minutes. Nevertheless, the hotel is iconic.
Absolutely historic place to stay.
Very nice place but a few details are annoying, for instance the internet is very slow, front rooms have a wonderful view but are noisy. The building is wonderful, historical piece of Venice, my grandmother had heir honeymoon there! But we pay for the place and location, not the comfort. Reception and concierge are very pleased.
Hello I write this review after staying on the birthday of my partner Chiara. I have personally organized everything and the idea has been my own to always try to satisfy you, as every man does or should do towards his own woman. Arrived in the room the luggage we had left 3 hours before were not present. I went down personally to look for them and get them. After 10 minutes the attendant arrived with our bags crammed, including the bag containing a gift for another person. Not broken but the paper bag totally crumpled. I exposed the black leather Privacy card to our room No. 33 and despite all the housekeeper was knocking and calling. Not a case since in our stay in August the same thing happened handling still at the reception to check out. Same script. Same answers. Same apology. And same result in the next stay. Obvious it is not more than a case if we want to avoid appealing to misfortune. (Next time I have to stay with the housekeeper maybe at least it doesn't bother. ) I state that the hotel at Christmas time is beautifully decorated, but that's not enough. I had received a very good impression in August. This didn't happen in this damned stay where to my question why the room was too hot. Despite the temperature adjusted to less than 20 degrees. I was told to turn it off which surely would have cooled down. An answer worthy of a hostel. Maybe. I don't add anything else.
Gourgeous room. So so restaurant. Very over priced and not that good.
The history of the… Danieli Hotel Luxury Collection, Venice. Friendship and good taste always lasts in time thanks Marcel.
Food on the terrace. Beautiful views. Quality of the dishes. Very high prices. A good whim.
Located next to St. Mark's Square in a breathtaking location one of the most beautiful hotels ever visited rich in history and well cared for.
The hotel is located exactly at the centre of Venice. Transportation was readily available with water bus. The hotel was elegantly built. The interior was wonderful for photo shooting and indeed we booked it for engagement photo shooting. Photo shooting in the hotel needs booking beforehand. Initially we were only allowed to shoot before 8am when the hotel was less busy, however after further negotiation by our photographer with the hotel, we were allowed to shoot at 11am. The hotel manager was v helpful and assigned a member of staff to help with the shooting so that no one got into the way.
Decoration of the room Kitch universe of a palace.
Once of the most luxurious, stylish hotels with a spirit of Venice! Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and an amazing bar in the lobby. The cost for the rooms are definitely above the average, but if you are looking for a memorable stay — Hotel Danieli definitely worth the amount you pay!
Whatever the time of the year you travel, a good way to finish your walk in the center of Venice is to take a walk on the Rialto bridge where you will surely find some nice place to have a drink or dinner.
Awful service by the staff. Rooms were promised to be ready by 3pm, and after a sleepless travel night, rooms were not ready and delayed because they are "still not clean". After receiving the rooms late, baggage was promised by the recpetion to be delivered to the room, and just didn't arrive. We had to go downstairs (30 minutes later) to find it still sitting in the storage room and took it ourselves. Staff seemed clueless all along. Very disappointed.
Very well placed but a bit dated.
One of the most beautiful hotels in the world. The chandeliers are sublime and the decoration is exceptional. The atmosphere of the hotel is very romantic and the empkacement is perfect for visiting the town of Venice.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Staff very attentive and accommodating. Lovely room and great dinner with spectacular views. Would love to stay again.
And so much I know that game sabatoooo oooooo oooo ooooo.
For what you pay you could expect something more, but some atmospheres are priceless.
The location was ideal, right by a stop on the lagoon (so you don't have to drag your luggage across cobblestones and through tight walkways). Some people may like the old vintage look but I found it drab and the dark red velvet in the halls and our room became depressing. I really didn't like the service in the breakfast buffet. The staff kept sitting (or trying to sit) us beside the waiters' service area. The first day we sat there but the second and third times they tried to sit us there, I told them I did not want to sit at that noisy table and we were seated elsewhere. Personally, I think it was racist (we were the only African Americans I saw staying at the hotel — probably the only ones on the island for that matter).
Not a good relationship between prize and quality. If you think about the thousands of euros you spend in a few days, they should have better breakfast, the waiters should have better manners and the rooms should be amazing (they are not in the "new" buildings). Definitely too expensive for that luxury.
This note only judges the bar, I did not sleep at the hotel. Impeccable Service, but overpriced cocktail (€18 for a glass), cosy frame, very clean but old-fashioned. Decadent luxury atmosphere stifled in its atmosphere, some adore, I am more reserved.
Probably one of the most mythical hotels in the world. A great view of the terrace. For fans of cinema, it is found in many films.
The hotel has a big lobby with gold tending all in my opinion maybe a little too much gold that does lose a bit of the charm of the property, there is really relaxing background music. There were many people but with the wide spaces you did not notice how many people there were and seemed a few, for each customer C was someone of the staff who was going to welcome him or serve him and so there were no queues or expectations. I have heard about it in various languages and I have to say for example that they were very fluent in English. With an atmosphere as well the customers were quiet and to speak to each other they used a low tone. There was a street go on the stairs because there are various floors and from the lobby you can see a part of the hallway leading to the rooms. I drank something and they brought me a tray with some cookies and chocolates. I saw two goalkeepers always present to check the luggage and move them to help the customers, there is a door that from on the canal where they arrive gondolas and boats.
Very expensive place with a very poor service. Staff are lazy and spoiled. I am always very patient with waitress but this time we had to leave before we have ordered food. However I can confirm there is an amazing view from the terrace.
Definitely overvalued, inadequate staff, noisy, small rooms. Apart from the incomparable view which does not justify the high price.
Contending the place among the most luxurious hotel in Venice. With personal berths for boats is an ancient Venetian Palace, maintained and managed in the best way. Professional staff used to manage clientele of importance. Fine furnishings, individually furnished rooms. A place to dream, at least for a night of madness.
Exquisite hotel. Nice rooms and great staff.
The breakfast on the terrace is simply SPECTACULAR!
Luxurious, prestigious, gorgeous. Have breakfast on the terrace with the stunning view is a marvel!
Orientation problems in the hotel, bad prize & worst service.
Fantastic, maximum elegance, hotel prices are at the height of the rooms, all decorated in a wonderful way and the breakfast spectacular, advisable to completely for a honeymoon in Venice.
After following our wedding reception here in October 2015, we decided to come here to celebrate an anniversary. This is a great place, with beautiful old Venetian room, the landscape is also great. Dining at the Terraza, the price is very expensive (obviously), but it is definitely worth spending time. We will come again.
Exquisite hotel. Pricey as you'd expect.
Rooms and prices are not fair, it was a very disappointing experience, if this is a 5 star hotel with that mentioned name, well then then I guess that the professional hotelier are lost, not to talk about the decor and service, well it wasn't my cup of tea I guess. Not very clean either.
Amazing view, food and price.
You could find better hotel with the same rate of money.
Didn't stay here, but booked the Sunday brunch on the rooftop terrace. Highly recommended. Beautiful views, great food, great service. Pretty good value for money.
Food is OK. Service and view are excellent.
Service good. In a very busy area for tourism. Comfortable room.
Very nice hotel, great service and magnificent view on Venice from our suite.
The best place to stay in Venice, although very expensive.
Pictures make the hotel room look much nicer than what you pay for. TV in room was not working when we arrived and although maintenance came it never worked properly during our stay. Different calls to the front desk went unanswered. Upon reviewing our bill on checkout we noticed that an additional charge of 15 euro had been added to our room rate for internet even though we had never used it. Also, although we had been quoted a price on the internet when we were checking out we were advised there was an additional charge of 10 per cent for VAT. After agreeing to pay the additional charge then the clerk said there was an additional charge of 10 per cent for city tax. When we asked why the hotel did not mention the additional charges in their add they said they had forgot. Always lots of staff around the front desk, but most of them just standing around. Mentioned our concerns to the Assistant Manager but he basically said since they had our credit card on file they would deduct the various amounts and there was nothing we could do about it. Although the Hotel is dated and needs updating, the location is good.
Years ago during the Film Festival in September
I had friends who were staying!
A wonder their hospitality!
Equally sublime Hotels!
I.
Not cheap, but both the public spaces and the rooms are breathtaking. Ideal location on the Grand Canal, with perfect views, and only steps to St. Mark's Square. Only complaint, which would probably apply anywhere in Venice, is that the staff is prone to recommend the tourist traps — so choose your own restaurants for them to book. Also, definitely take the free private boat to Murano.
Rooftop restaurant — do not take the wine advice or food advicethey are instructed to sell ceap stuff for high prices. Choose for yourself from the ist. There are some chep gems you have to look. They go to great lengths to keep the place rundown. I checked in then out immediately and headed to the sister property Regina my normal digs. The regina lso has the very old original art, but has not had the high traffic. DO GAWK at the lobby it is amazing, and have a mineral water there. The chandeliers are real, old Murano (I am a glass blower trained in Murano). So hang aout a bit but stay somewhere else. I also like San Moise hotel a dive from the 40's for 100, but hanging over the gondolas. Also the golden violin. Also the Pension Windner has an off property apartment that is cheap and the bomb.
I stayed there 2 nights, 21st and 27th June, I dropped my phone in the room, and when I went to check out, my phone was no there, and switched off, even though I woke up with alarm on my phone. I believe it was stolen by housekeeping, trying to sort out the things now through police. Food and view in restaurant was nice, very expensive, around 150 euro per person. Room was nice, specially in the left block, beds are nice and soft. Many channels on TV When you switch off the lights, it becomes very scarry, my girlfriend couldn't fall asleep without lights on, even though she is not having a fear of the dark or a phobia.
A dream! … especially if there is sunshine, but even if the sky is overcast. 360° view on the blue sea, with St. George left, and health right … discreet silence, international customers, waiters attentive … perfect for breakfast (buffet, with every good things) than for fine dining! loved it!
In this elegant and luxurious hotel you will enjoy exceptional quality and variety in all incredible.
the most impressive thing about this hotel is the magnificent contrast that reflects the art of pictures with the freshness of the colour of the wall of the building and the structure of a style rustic and modernist, sensual and unique. As a single it can be found in beautiful Italy.

RespondMy opinion is negative, the main building, is super but the room that I was assigned did not have nothing to do with the photo gallery you will see in the website in addition to being located in the building next door. Most seemed rooms service and not be corresponded to the price of the room. The stay in this hotel the only thing that was worth have been the breakfast on the terrace and the waiters of the same treatment.

RespondI loved this hotel, it is beautiful in every corner has, the room I had was very nice, friendly, comfortable and with a spectacular view to the lagoon. His restaurant on the terrace of delicious food, in general staff service was excellent. I loved its location, you can walk very little to get to Plaza San Marcos. And thus to be among hundreds of pigeons and also go to the cafes and bars of her around.
Danieli. Spectacular.
