The castle is a historic residence with obvious charm, both for its location, and for its past and its relevance. Just outside the centre of Quinéville, it is at the foot of the hill on which the village stands; several rooms have been carved out of the rural outbuildings of the stately residence which, in its current form, dates back to the 18th century. The managers are very helpful, courteous and attentive to the needs of the guests: they speak both English and French, as well as Dutch. The rooms are large and have internal amenities, but right here the sore notes begin. At least for the one assigned to us (double bed and a single one), the bathroom with shower was very small, without windows and with non-functioning ventilation system. The sink and shower taps had separate hot-cold knobs with many difficulties in mixing (more than frequent risk of being in the cold or under boiling water… The room, on the ground floor, was damp, perhaps even complicit in the rainy days.
It certainly varies, plentiful and curates continental breakfast, although not cheap and not included in the price.
The structure should be taken up in many respects: the boiseries and carpeting of the rooms, the interior doors and the handles (unstable), the mattresses. Wi-Fi should also be available in rooms, not just in common spaces. The park, like the castle, has considerable but not enhanced potential: from greenhouses, to fish ponds, to the entrance court that is currently the parking lot of the structure. Our stay lasted three days and three nights.
