The recepcionist was extremely unkind and showed poor common sense. We booked a room for 5 persons through a company with which they work with and when we arrived the recepcionist (never told us her name) told us that they were only willing to accept 4 of us even though I had booked the room for 5 persons weeks ahead of our arrival. She stated that local regulation only allowed them to let 4 persons stay in the room that I had paid for. As a consequence of her refusal to accept my entire family, I had to search for another hotel in the middle of a night and my wife had to stay in this hotel with my 3 kids (10, and my twins of 8 years old). Two days later (and after I had already paid upfront to stay for 4 nights in another hotel located far away from Hotel Windsor), the receptionist told my wife that she had changed her mind and that I could stay in the same room with them, when confronted about this sudden change of mind, she told us that she had realized that my twins were small enough to fit in one bed (keep in mind that she had seen my kids since the first day that we arrived in the Hotel). She had no answers when asked about "the local regulation" that she mentioned when we arrived as the main reason for not letting all 5 of us stay in the same room. From Day 1 onwards, this woman showed a lack of common sense and serious contradictions in her arguments. My 2 cents: Look for other options if you are ever in Paris.
