Everything I needed from a hostel. Clean bed, friendly staff, kitchen, and bathroom. Air con could have been stronger but it was there and the room was always comfortable. Great to discover Montmartre. Be aware as a woman walking alone at night but I had no problems.

We didn't use much of the facilities offered BUT the beds were comfy and the bathroom clean, even if it's a little cramped, and the staff were always very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something! It's also close to a metro stop so you can quickly get anywhere in Paris! It's a pretty nice spot.

It was okay. Lots of young kids, even the counter had young adults running it. Which was no surprise when the airport shuttle I booked through the front desk got messed up. There are stairs like all the reviews say, but I think the issue is that they may have been built in the 1800s and NEVER fixed up or replaced. The room was small but clean. So if you need a place to stay in Paris for cheap, it's not bad. Be careful with the shuttle to the airport. It's €26 for a single person and €18 if with someone. The guy was unpleasant, door didn't work, seat belt didn't work and he let me out at the wrong terminal with "directions" on how to get to my terminal — not okay.

Highly recommended. Facilities in perfect state and very good attention from staff.

It is a hostel, well located, clean rooms, has a kitchen and offer breakfast for 6 euros. Meropi was very friendly with us.

Great price. Clean room, bed n toilette. Common area is quite small but ok. Pretty design. They have got kitchen as well. Got a room with a decent view from the balcony. Near couple of nice restaurants and pizzerias. Easy to find as well. Accessible from 2 different metro stations.

Good location, close to a subway and a few steps from Montmartre. As for the hostel the single, double and triple rooms have an acceptable size, group sizes are smaller but all of them have bathroom and are very clean. As for the hostel in general the breakfast service very good and abundant, the friendly staff treatment and the atmosphere very nice, there are foosball and armchairs on the entrance floor. The only thing is that it has no elevator, so if you touch on the sixth floor you arrive a little without air, but for the price we paid it is more than acceptable.

Very clean and located in a very good area near by the Montmartre church. Not far from the metro station that takes you right to the city center and the sight seeing. I recommend the 4 beds rooms.

Cool hostel for every age. I met teenagers traveling, but also people in their 60's and families with childeren. There is a kitchen and also a nice area to chill. One downside, the amount of outlets in the rooms. I was in a 4 person dorm, but there were only 2 outlets. Be aware, and maybe bring a splitter to share them.

The place is cute, nice atmosphere and good communication. Close to the Metro and in a beautiful area. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is not optimal, they should clean more frequently.

My short trip to Paris was wonderful thanks to Le Montclair Hostel. I stayed here for 2 nights. It's a little away from the center but the transport options are really good (there are 2 metro stations nearby). Staff of Le Montclair Hostel is very friendly, polite & helpful. They know Paris really well. The rooms are perfect in size — not too small, not too big. Toilets are clean. The kitchen is a little small yet there's everything you might need to cook. You can chill in their lounge, play foosball or retro video games or simply chitchat with fellow travellers. Overall, it was a nice experience for me & I'd recommend it to everyone visiting Paris.

Horrble stay. I m not talking about xtras, but they could put at least soap and towel. Breakfast were just jam and bread, realy? If I knew it, would get some better staff for that price.

Hello Welcome to my review, to begin with, I would like to say that today I had an intestinal problem and I left the toilet a little clogged, and defecated more than normal and I think you need new pipes.

Very good experience: reception, cleanliness, bedding & breakfast and the youthful ambience. Only problem is that the building is without lift and that you can be assigned a room on the 6th floor! … which was my case.

We are in triple with a Thailand roommate.
The air are full of stink.
The shower room is awful. We have to keep pushing the button so that the water can come out continuously.
Even the hair dryer is hard to use.

Stayed here this past week for an overnight stay, this was a super emergency choice and not our normal level of stay in a hostel. The staff was super friendly, the rooms seem to be clean, there was no elevator and our room was on the 4th of the 6 floors in the establishment. The price was the most reasonable that we could find the night of and last minute. You are asked to bring your used linen down with you upon check out. We did not use the shower as it reminded me of a beach shower & we opted to just shower at our next stop in Bere — Hakim. In a jam I would stay again… only in a jam. We did not take advantage of any of the amenities if they had them. By the time we each carried our 40 lb luggage up 4 flights of the spiral staircase no one in our group of 3 dared to go back downstairs as we were too tired!

Not recommended it you're coming to Paris for the first time, it's about half an hour journey to get to city centre via metro. The hostel located at a quite creepy place and I don't feel safe there. The breakfast provided is too simple and not filling at all, same coffee and three types of bread everyday, that's all. The room is quite old and heater was not working, felt so cold at night. One thing we like is the friendly staff, they helped us alot which really deserved one more star. Still, wouldn't come for the next time.

Excellent place spacious and clean rooms, nice place and good care in Spanish. The rooms are being remodeled, last year we were and you notice the upgrade, even almost all the rooms already have card lock, the one that touched us was the only one with traditional key. It is recommended to take the included breakfast, it is very basic free buffet but it is OK for what is worth in Paris a breakfast of this type. The only bad thing is the staircase which is cramped and old but overall and in value for this Paris area is a 10 full-fledged. It has a subway station just around the corner (Joules Joffrin) Another one about 4 streets (Marcadet Poissoniers) also taxi stop and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. It is also right behind the Montmartre Cathedral and the painters ' quarter (you have to climb stairs to get there). In general: Highly recommended, we will be safe again.

Fantastic service and great people (: Awesome shared kitchen in which you can meet so many different people. One improvement to be made would be that there are 6+ floors but no elevator… and the only way up is a narrow spiral staircase) : other than that, showers and beds are great!

It fulfills its task very well, very close to the North station so it makes it ideal.

Place was fairly clean. There are extra bathrooms with showers in the hallway. They don't charge to store luggage. The small lockers in the front are also free. No elevator. Common area has kitchen and pleanty of chairs. Staff is friendly.

Good location near the metro, a couple of blocks from the Sacred Heart! My stay was three days, only in the last room I had problems with the hot water in the shower! But the rest well!

Perfect for a school trip in group, super friendly welcome, very clean rooms, breakfast is worth the asking price.

Rare Family room available for 6 (2 adults plus 4 teens) We stayed here for a week it was completely satisfactory. Close to transport. Brought back memories of my backpacking days but still family friendly.

I found myself very well! But it would have been better to have electrical outlets near the beds.

The overall is also good, in addition to the elevator and stairs are difficult to go, the other is quite convenient. All four rooms are on the 6, 7 floor, the light carrying suitcase climbing narrow and narrow rotating wood staircase, almost killed me this brawny blood.

7th floor room kept at what must have been 85F. Laundry rooms close early and local laundry facilities are only open slightly later. Nice people, tho.

Great service, they have something special everyday to get people together. The room was pretty good.

The hostel is good, it complies with what it says. The beds are comfortable but are very encimadas to each other so that there is not much privacy, the bathrooms are HYPER kids and are not very clean. They offer breakfast every morning from 7.30 to 10 am for €6, although it is quite expensive for what they offer. The best thing of the hostel is the location, the metegol and the staff re friendly and nice, speak several languages and will recommend anything you need.

The Good: — eight person rooms are spacious, with ensuite bathrooms — free smaller lockers -decent location The Bad: -uncomfortable beds, but nothing much worse than other hostels.

Nice place, and very close to two good metro stations that get you right into town in about 20 minutes. The one caveat being that it's a six-floor hostel with no elevator. If you happen to be lucky enough to be on the higher floors, you get a beautiful view at the expense of the exercise every time you need something.

I really enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Rooms were small, there were a lot of noise and toilet was outside the room, but there were rly friendly staff. Even the location was great (10 mins walk to the Sacre Coeur). Breakfast was good for the first day, but when you eating the same things every morning for four days, the joy from the meal is a little bit smaller. I am giving this hostel 4 stars, 'cause I had a good time here and in the end, there were a lot more plus than cons.

I can't at this hostel. Although it is close to the city, but it's just a Cash Cow for the owners.
Almost all rooms are broken, no locks or the clamp. No toilets. Everything is dirty.

Great location, easy to find (Jules Joffren Metro stop), and walking distance (30 minutes) from Gare de Nord. Or Metro Line 4 — — and walk a few blocks. We had small carry-on duffle bags, so we walked (uphill) through a very urban/ethnic part of Paris, which was fun if you're shopping for cheap shoes and knives. From Jules Joffren/Le Montclar Montmarte, you are really at the top of the hill… and everywhere else you walk is "down" so it's a GREAT location for hoofing your own body around town (and riding the Metro back! ). The rooms were adequate, the common rooms were friendly, and we met GREAT travelers, who joined us for impromptu sight-seeing — — making our days in Paris WAY more fun. My suggestion — — say outloud in your bunk or in the common room, "Today I'm walking to the Lourve and then to watch the sunset from the steps at Sacre Coeur. Anyone wanna join me? " This was not a super-budget hostel — — as the location is in a great neighborhood. Yet the actual accommodations aren't as plush as other hostels, given the price. Granted, we chose this hostel for its location, not its amenities. As such, the Le Montclair delivered exactly what I hoped: clean, safe lodging in a fun neighborhood, close to the attractions I wanted to see. That's a solid win.
