My father stayed in your hotel 3j he is very satisfied.

Very nice staff and very good location in the Montmartre district.

Exactly as described, budget hotel, clean rooms. Lovely staff, friendly welcome. They put our elderly parents in ground floor room, spoke good English and gave us directions to loical amenities. There is currently no restraint but plenty nearby. The on site bar is very good too. Friendly and relaxed.

Very nice place to stay, friendly service, clean rooms and you get your own safe! There is a real cozy bar underneath and you're close to the city center or public transportation. Recommended!

Convenient location 5 minutes to the Metro, clean and cozy, near the café where filmed Amelie. Next to this café is a Chinese bistro, sushi there excellent 6evro per person. 6 minutes and you are near the Moulin Rouge… And that's all for €50 a day!

One of the last authentic places of the lower Montmartre! Reasonable price, good setting in its juice, boss itou, eclectic public! Come early to avoid the surge of the soiffards!

Nice hotel located above a busy bar. Clean rooms, beds and bathroom. Wi-Fi was poor. No frills, but good service at a reasonable price; just keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

Pretty tight fit, but perfect for what we needed for our group of 3. Near a lot of streets that have a lot of activity. If you go as a couple or as a group of some buddies, it is the ideal place to go.

Great location on a quite side street.

This was one of the hotels we stayed at with the tour group I was chaperoning of American high school kids. The staff were all extremely friendly, which made up for some of the rustic qualities of the place. There is no elevator, so mostly the kids stayed in the upper floor rooms. The room my wife and I stayed in was a little odd and the door was so secure that we even had a little trouble getting in with the key. The bar on the street level was always a busy place and several of us would have a nightcap before retiring for the evening. Bang for the buck was definitely there, but there is no doubt this is an old European establishment that is not trying to cater to an American audience. The hotel is situated in the middle of a residential area, so you get to see what normal life in Paris is really like. Our overall stay here was a pleasantly memorable one.

Stayed there last year and it was awesome. Everythign was clean and smelled fresh. Super comfy beds and pillows, incredible shower pressure and temperature, and tucked away in a little street. For a place to sleep, wash up, and plan your daily adventures on the free Wi-Fi, it was awesome and worth it! Would stay again!

Not tested the hotel, just the bar on the ground floor, a kabylise bougnat, held in family by Ammad, his wife, his son. Marcel Cerdan boxing in the wall, a drunk who cause philosophy in a corner, a translator of Heidegger. The site says it better than anyone: "here, is the true Montmartrois, of the hard, tough, of the cockiness pastaga and on the side of the Rhone, the valves to 3 francs, short of counters, a forgotten corner, dogs off leash and the people of the world from the end of the world to discover this mythical place… often and its couscous from Thursday! ".

My wife and I just had a crazy travel experience from Venice, through a cancelled flight from air France due to a strike, but after arriving here we were welcomed with the best hospitality one could ask for. And that's coming from a person who stays in 4/5 star hotels in USA. The reviews are true, this place is a gem located close to everything Paris has to offer.

When we first got in middle of afternoon and 30 C sweaty and heavy luggage with us almost had a heart attack when I saw the outside thinking it looked dodgy but we had the most pleasant time. Clean, cheap, and close to everything. Never judge a book, indeed.

Terrible experience! We went there on Sept. 21st 2013, besides the horrible smell, the dirt, the room were tiny and definitely not clean. We walked away and they have also charged for the room even though we didn't stay.

In the middle of Montmartre located, Sacre Coeur, the Moulin Rouge and cafe des Deux Moulins ("Amelie"-Café) are only a stone's throw away. Who a cheap but clean Accommodation searches, is here exactly correct. The rooms go to the backyard to get out (they are on two houses), they are small and only furnished with the bare Necessities, but long completely, if you are planning to store, the time not in a Hotel but in Paris to spend. Everything reminded me a little of the beautiful private rooms, some Hostels offer. Bakeries and cafes for Breakfast there are in each direction, each within a few minutes walk to reach, as the Hotel offers room only. The Bar in the front of the house is when the Locals popular and lively frequented, this can at night, but also a bit louder, if you have the window open, because the are Soundproofed. As we in the Hotel were, was still diligently restored and renovated, everything is thus new. The area around the hotel seems a bit in recent years has been upgraded to be (you can see also on the part of the nobel reconstructed houses in the streets), because a feeling of uncertainty – as in previous reviews described – was came never on, even though our group of girls was. For a romantic weekend I would the Hotel it's probably not the book, but otherwise, again and again.

We stayed at this hotel a couple of times. Not for the faint of heart, basic (but adequate) rooms,. But, the bar is not to be missed, just like the Paris of old, almost out of a Toulouse Letrec painting. One of the strangest assortments of characters I have seen in recent memory. But, lots of fun, welcoming, great place. One of my all time Paris haunts, and I have been going to Paris since the 70's.

Here, as everywhere, you get what you pay for, and the Grand Hotel de Clermont is one of the cheapest hotels in Paris. Situated above a bar that is open into the early hours of the morning, and nestled in the middle of Paris' notorious red light district, this is not an ideal destination for the timid traveller. With that said, the rooms are clean, relatively comfortable and very affordable, so it's a great place for backpackers. There are just over ten rooms, all of a similar standard (clean but sparse). There are no en-suites, but a bathroom is generally shared between two rooms (which is all there is on a floor). There aren't any baths, but the showers are kept clean (note that in at least one bathroom there was no lock to be found, so make sure you're well acquainted with your travelling companions). The rooms do have locks, but are not very secure, so it might be wise either to bring secure luggage or (as is probably best) take your valuables with you at all times. Guests are free to smoke in all rooms, and bring in their own alcohol etc. The staff have limited English, but are very friendly once you get to know them a bit. The bar is noisy, there's no two ways about it, but it's also one of the cheapest bars in Paris, which is an obvious advantage. At time of writing a pint of beer was nearly a quarter of the cost in the bars near the Moulin Rouge, just a few hundred metres away.
