An alternative view of the city of Paris. All tourists crowd the Eiffel tower and try to get to the top by paying high entry fees. Even though that is an incredible view of Paris, but the view from the rooftop of Arc de Triomphe cannot be ignored. The climb to the top is via a narrow staircase, but they have proper elevator support for people who need it. The staff their is very friendly. I would recommend to buy the tickets before hand if you wish to avoid the small queue at the counter.

How can you come to Paris and not see the Arc? You must! It’s a beautiful tribute to those who served and fell in battle. If you’re brave enough to climb us the stairs to the Rio, you’ll enjoy a 360° view of Paris. It’s totally worth it. If you are taking a cab or a ride share, they will drop you off at the tunnel entrance where you can cross the busy street from the underground tunnel. It leads you right up to the ticket boot where you can buy your tickets to the top. Very easy and smooth experience.

Here's the deal with Arc de Triomphe — it's awe inspiring, it's iconic, it's a somber memorial for the French but a scene of celebration for so many tourists, seeing it in person, making it to Paris. You absolutely should go see it. The views from the top are unique and spectacular, but so are the views from so many other places in the city. So if all you do is stop and look around and take some pictures from the ground don't worry. Pro tip — tickets can be purchases online and save a ton of time by avoiding ticket line. Just go around it when you get there. Lots of steps to climb, but not really that bad. They spiral, it's a neat visual. Museum on top is small but informative. See you in Paris.

Well worth the entrance fee of 12 euros to go up to the top. Check online if it will be open because today it is closed due to the Tour de France. Glad I saw it yesterday. It's a good climb so wear comfortable shoes with grip. The steps can be a bit slippery because they are metal and well worn because of all the people coming through. The view at the top is amazing, and yes you can see the Eiffel Tower from the Arc de Triomphe. Happy climbing!

Beautiful. Is a long 280 stairs climb but worth it. Takes about 15 minutes to climb. There's also a 10 minutes long AV which takes you through the history of the Arc in detail. Tickets are under €20 and we'll worth it. Go in late evening, so that you're on top of the Arc at 10pm, that's when the Eiffel light show happens and looks absolutely stunning. Great views of Paris from the top too. It's hard to admire it from the ground. If you are right next to it, you can explore small parts only as it's too big to take it all in. When you get further away, there is all this traffic in between. Some people try to take pictures from the middle of the boulevard… Not recommended! But from the top the views are glorious. And you can finally observe the full design of the city. I highly recommended reading about it ahead of time or right there as we did. Also, it's quite entertaining to watch traffic below. The complexity and dynamics of it is mesmerizing.

The building is beautiful and its history interesting. Beautiful in the external part, nice store, kind workers. However, for the amount they charge (they might do at least 600, 000 € /month! ) they should (ought to) have better and clean bathrooms, water fountains and some kind of illumination on the stairs up and down. Their income and their jobs depend upon tourists. They should treat them better, offer better services.

Monument surrounded by the most messy roundabout in France. Failing to appreciate history, others will enjoy the spectacle of automobiles that cut off the road by making fingers…
More seriously, I advise to start the visit by the opposite end of the Champs Elysees, so that the arc of triumph appears as you approach, to visit it, then to go down the fields on the other sidewalk to continue the Shopping.

Very good view of Paris. Too bad that despite our ticket-cutters purchased in advance, the person facing the zeal to get us back with our teens of 13/14 years. We still don't understand the problem. Bad reception caught up by the person who takes care of the handicapped elevator very polite and understanding.

The Arc de Triomphe is a must visit because from above there is a breathtaking view of the whole city! For the more passionate there is also a small museum inside. There's also an elevator. The arc connects a series of roads that are all around and to reach it you pass by an underground passage.

What to say about this famous monument from around the world.
It is one of the essentials, the tourists love it. It is located at the end of the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs-Elysées. We never get tired of seeing him again. On its roof, you can admire the whole of Paris. The view is beautiful.

The Arc de Triomphe: whether seen from below, from afar or from above, remains an indispensable part of the history of Paris.
Access to the center of the roundabout is on foot and is free (underground passage from the fields and another avenue). Take advantage of this moment to go around the arc, admire the construction and stop for a little while in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Good to note: Every day, at 6. 30 pm, a tribute ceremony (renewal of the flame) takes place around the tomb in the presence of the veterans: a moment of the most moving to which I recommend you to attend!
With regard to the CRA, the payment counters are in the underground passages, Count €10 to climb (free for students, minors and under-26 citizens of the European Union). Take good shoes as there are many steps to climb (for people in difficulty, an elevator is available). At the top you can find historical exhibitions, a store and a view at 360 on Paris with explanations of the various visible monuments!
I hope this information will be useful to you! Otherwise feel free to ask questions, to your sneakers, ready, climb!

Magnificent. The Triumphal arch (Arc du triomphe de la place Charles de Gaulle in French) is an important monument in Paris. It is located at the beginning of the famous avenue of the Champs-Élysées, in the center of the Place de l'étoile (today called Place Charles de Gaulle). The monument was wanted by Napoleon Bonaparte to celebrate the victory at the Battle of Austerlitz.

One of the main attractions in Paris, and yet a delution.
The Arc de Triomphe is located in a bad area of the city, super busy and in the middle of a roundabout.
The determination of this unstrategic position results in the smog that you breathe visiting this monument and in the danger of reaching it because of the multitude of reckless drivers who venture to the main road.
I recommend seeing the monument only from afar, in the fields you Mars or from the Eiffel Tower

This immense arc has marked several of the historical stages of this city and its nation from Napoleon to the two great wars.
It is interesting to listen to its history, from its original project from the particular form never realized to the events that still now mark the days.
The advice is also to climb on the terrace from which to enjoy a beautiful view and paradise of lovers of the selfie for the view of the Eiffel Tower.

It's massive. Crazy how you drive around it. On top of the main Street where a lot of posh shops are on. And also the standard shops e. G. H&m etc. Good to visit and take some pics. Always find tourists there. Very easy to get to as the underground in France is the best in Europe, so easy to navigate.

As one of Paris’s most famous, celebrated, and visited attractions, the Arc still remains France’s essential symbol of power and unity. The attraction is not only the Arc itself, but there’s a gift shop and a great view from the platform atop of the structure, and the Arc is actually fascinating. The views from the top of the arc are definitely worth the climb (284 steps), as you can see all the 12 avenues of Paris. Of course, the views of the Arc looking up from the ground level are breathtaking as well, like when you drive around the structure, along the roundabout surrounding the arc. The Arc is so intricately designed with different patterns carved into and on top of the surface as well as sculptures that it could take a long time to marvel at how beautiful of a structure it is, especially at night, not only when there’s less people around the area and therefore a better opportunity to admire the structure, but when the lights surrounding the Arc turn on. It’s a wonderful sight to see and a great photo op. Its proximity to the Louvre Museum also makes it a prime site to see when visiting Paris, as it extends from the courtyard of the Louvre Palace to the outskirts of Paris. I absolutely loved seeing the Arc!

Just a Great homage to the People of France and the absolute rule of France's lost Empire. The Sheer Grandeur of the Arc de Triomphe both up close and from a distance shows the Best side of French Architecture. So Many Magnificent Monuments in Paris but Still this 1 of 4 "Gates" to the City of Paris reigns Supreme, not just of the Gates, but of the Landscape of the Great City of Paris : the City of Light. The view from Any point on the Champs-Élysées Is Breathtaking. Definitely a "Must See" and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Grand & Petite Palaces and even the Louvre. Don't Miss!

The highlight of a park visitor is certainly the circle of the Arc de Triomphe at the wheel of his own vehicle. Or at great risk to try to cross the roadways there as pedestrians. In my more than numerous visits to the City of lights and love, I have made a large number of pictures of this monumental building — especially the night shots have done it for me here.

The arc AB is impressive due to its size and of course of age. However, 12 euros is admission, just to get up, really too much. And in bad weather, as we had it with snowfall, you can see nothing. As a culture of course mandatory program.

The Arc is an impressive site. If you want to be able to access it easier, go at night. During the day (also at night) it is an insanely busy roundabout death trap with no lanes, signals or reasoning. As an American you'll wonder how cars don't just pile up at the base of this thing. That aside it's incredible architecture that's quickly photographed so not an attraction to budget too much time to go see. The main strip leading up to it can also get congested so hop out the car and walk if need be. It's not a difficult one.

Very pleasant and informative visit.
The panoramic view is breathtaking, and the access to the Esplanade is easy and convenient.
Not to be missed during a visit to Paris, and it is even valid for Parisians.
The audiovisual fixtures presented as well as the illustrated panels are of great pedagogical value.
Special Mention for the shop: a great choice and at reasonable prices. And very welcoming sellers…
Long live the Arc de Triomphe!

A magnificent structure, imposing and with a thousand details to savor.
It is a bit difficult to get to because the square acts as a roundabout in a rather busy area, so you have to jump in the middle of traffic to reach it (or at least that was my tactic, but I'm not sure there is a pass that doesn't foresee the passes Through the roundabout).
However looking towards Place de la Concorde you can have a quick overview on the Champs Elysees, while looking from the diametrically opposite side you can see the great arc of the defense, other structure to the board to go however not to walk Because it's far away.

Awesome. This vision coming from the Champs-Elysées and see his greatness and majesty is very rewarding. The climbing you have to log back on to the subway access is in the avenue itself, since the volume of cars makes it impossible to reach the surface. Highly recommended to bring the entry pre-purchased to avoid queues. Once in their base, and after passing security control, access to the top via a set of stairs to what, in some moments, seem to not finish. Already high the views are stunning and it is acquired real consciousness of the construction and the designs of the different avenues that converge at the arc. Likewise, the views of the different buildings of Paris allow you to get an idea of the size of the city. I recommend as a must-visit if you are going to Paris.

Enjoyed this place imencelly. From here, you can see the Eiffel tower in the skyline, makes the experience very Paris, even more so than being on the Eiffel tower itself. It wasn't super busy when I went on a weekend, but line to get in was still long, but this slowed the flow of people to the top, so it was less crowded and it didn't feel rushed. There are nice places to take pictures at the top. The gift shop in there isn't super in your face so it feels a little less commercial. Lots to see and do, but won't take up your whole day. The area around it is very lively, with many cool shops to explore. There is no food to buy inside it, but many restaurants around it.

I managed to get in on a free day (not sure why/what the occasion was) but the price would still be worth it. Inside you have to climb/descend very large spiral staircases. Very cool how you need to go underground to reach the arc (around it are moving cars that won't stop for you). Just going around the arc and seeing stuff like the eternal flame is free, if you want to get inside you have to pay (unless you're under 26 and a EU citizen). After you walk a lot of stairs, there isn't really a lot to do or see. But if you walk a few more stairs you get in the top and my God the view is stunning. I would even say that the view is better than from the top of the Eiffel tower. Simply because you can see much more details (because everything doesn't appear tiny) and you get to see all the impressive monuments, including the Eiffel tower. So I highly recommend to get to the top and enjoy the view.

Spectacular. An amazing sight to see. Provides a wonderful view of Paris with a much safer feeling than the Eiffel Tower. Not a fan of heights, but this wasn't that bad. The spiral climb up and down wasn't wildly open for me to look down and feel like death was coming. Kids get in for free and students get a discounted rate. Cool how you cross the street by going underground. Would not suggest anyone undertaking the climb that isn't good with a lot of steps, but it is definitely worth it if you are willing. If not, still quite the work of art from underneath.

This is one of the required points of every tourist in Paris. It is imposing its size and majesty. This arch was commanded to build by Napoleon to commemorate the triumph at the Battle of Austerlitz. It is the most popular triumphal arch in the world

What an impressive thing to behold. It's one thing to see it in movies or photos but to see it in the flesh (or stone), to walk around and under it, to climb to the top for the view, and to see the grave of the unknown soldier with the eternal flame, these were all fascinating and memorable things I did there. The views from the top really help you get a hold of the layout of central Paris especially with the Champs Elysee and the Place de la Concorde way off at the end of it. It was cool to see how the traffic manages to get around it. Chaos was indeed part of it. One of the core places to visit when you visit Paris.

Museum pass was worth it as got to skip the ticket line and was put in a shorter line for security. Impressive view with a lot of stairs to climb. A few elderly people were really having a hard time getting up. It's a big spiral staircase with a bunch of stairs leading up from the subway and then to pass under the road again and back up. The view was amazing and the architecture was amazing. The inside exhibits were good explanations of the wars and history of battle uniform but I was expecting a bit more than posters on the walls and a few screens. The view at the top was amazing and you can walk all the way around. Once you are done you can take pictures at the bottom and relax before getting to go down the underpass. It is really easy to get to by metro just follow the signs as a bunch of lines stop here.

At the end of the avenue of Champs Elysées. Very nice. The avenue is very spacious and overcrowded with restaurants and luxury shops. It is recommended to pass Vistándola.

Great view. Unfortunately, often huge snakes. And since the new one is controlled as at the airport. So schedule some time, but it's worth it.

I love the Arc de Triomphe, but even more the traffic trapped. Just drive in and rotate circles — it's sooo awesome.

Climb up, look down, be happy; Great view over the whole of Paris and if you want to smile a little bit, just take five minutes on the west side of the top to watch the traffic.

Be sure to visit. It looks bigger inside than outside. And the view from the arch is simply stunning.

Always worth a visit. Admission is not cheap — but the view from up there is incredible.
Especially the roundabout below is very interesting for us;-)

Essential. On the Champs Elysées, perhaps one of the areas of paris where there is a greater variety of restaurants and quality shops. There is a viewpoint that can be reached (remember: to visit the monuments of Paris requires patience; the queues can take an hour on average)

Beautiful place. It takes patience to get a good photo because the vehicle traffic is constant but worth the wait especially at night.

Totally recommended to watch the sunset from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. For under the age of 25 years resident in the EU is free. The climb is somewhat heavy, as there are no landings and if you have people behind you can't afford to stop, but it is quite short (approx. 4 minutes). It is worth the effort. It is also curious to see from above the quagmire that weapon with the cars in the actual roundabout: it is one of the few in the world that the vehicles that are within must yield to those entering.

The monument is impressive, you can not cross directly but there is a tunnel that allows you to cross under the ground, the view is breathtaking and worth a visit. To raise alone there is a spiral staircase very long, but it is well worth climbing the 50 metres. 100% recommended.

The triumphal arch just like the Eiffel tower easy-to Paris! The famous shopping street, right next to it, you can see a couple of break-dancers!

The Arc de Triomphe is in the middle of a huge traffic circle from the age of 11 or 12 streets lead away is fantastic. An absolute Must in Paris. If you pay admission, you can walk even on the bow up.

The hotel is housed in a hausmannian, just 500 metres from the arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. Paris is not known for huge numbers but it is very compact and spacious. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi. On-site private Parking. The metro station Charles de Gaulle-Etoile and Georges V is located a 5-minute walk from the hotel. 8th arr. Is a great choice for travelers interested in shopping, romance and food. The area is also great for shopping, there are shops nearby popular brands: Cartier, H&M, Chanel, Burberry, Louis Vuitton. Compared to other options in the city, guests get more for the same money.
