Awesome. This vision coming from the Champs-Elysées and see his greatness and majesty is very rewarding. The climbing you have to log back on to the subway access is in the avenue itself, since the volume of cars makes it impossible to reach the surface. Highly recommended to bring the entry pre-purchased to avoid queues. Once in their base, and after passing security control, access to the top via a set of stairs to what, in some moments, seem to not finish. Already high the views are stunning and it is acquired real consciousness of the construction and the designs of the different avenues that converge at the arc. Likewise, the views of the different buildings of Paris allow you to get an idea of the size of the city. I recommend as a must-visit if you are going to Paris.

Through them were Napoleon and Hitler. Beautiful gate, which are the Elysian fields. You should definitely visit because it is one of the important places in Paris

Enjoyed this place imencelly. From here, you can see the Eiffel tower in the skyline, makes the experience very Paris, even more so than being on the Eiffel tower itself. It wasn't super busy when I went on a weekend, but line to get in was still long, but this slowed the flow of people to the top, so it was less crowded and it didn't feel rushed. There are nice places to take pictures at the top. The gift shop in there isn't super in your face so it feels a little less commercial. Lots to see and do, but won't take up your whole day. The area around it is very lively, with many cool shops to explore. There is no food to buy inside it, but many restaurants around it.

This is a beautiful piece of architecture. You don't even have to go inside and get to the top in order to appreciate it. Viewing it from across the street is enough. You get to see the heart of the city, as cars will be buzzing all around you. Champs-Elysees is definitely where you want to be if you're in Paris.

What a terrific place to see Paris. Best time is dusk when the Paris is turning on its lights. I've been there 3 times and never tire of the view. For seniors and people having problems doing stairs, there is an special elevator for your use only.

Beautiful historic place, touristic. Plenty of space though full of people during day and night. In daytime you can go up and enjoy the views. It's located at the center of a roundabout so you can appreciate the structure all around.

Amazing. It's a sight to behold both from a far (you can see it from really far) as it's massive. When you get up close, you are just in awe at how large it is. Going inside is well worth it. I managed to get in on a free day (not sure why/what the occasion was) but the price would still be worth it. Inside you have to climb/descend very large spiral staircases. If you have trouble with those, you may want to take your time. The view from above is spectacular. It really is a Triumphant Arc ;)

Arc de Triomphe in Paris, is a symbol of the city, along with the Eiffel tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. She is of the Star (place de l'etoile) from which 12 avenues diverge rays, the most famous being the Champs-Elysees. The monument is a permanent place of pilgrimage for many tourists.

A monument built to commemorate Napoleon's victories, which has a observation deck on top. This arch is huge and has a car roundabout around it. There is also an underground tunnel which will take you inside the Arc. You can see the Eiffel tower as well as very scenic view of Paris. I recommend making a point to visit this monument.

Worth a visit, must see while in Paris! Nice shopping (and window shopping. ) nearby and fantastic scenery from the roof especially during sunset. We walked from the Champ Elysees up to the Arc de Triomphe. Really impressive and what is more incredible is the circle road around it where 12 roads spread from the circle like a star. The inside with sculptures is very interesting. The grave of the unknown soldier must be visited too.

Wow. What a great place to start a visit to Paris. Makes the most extreme UK roundabouts look tame. Easy to access lots to see and do Thank heavens for the underpass to the centre. Did not pay the €12. 00 to go to the top of the monument. Think that I will see this every day of my visit.

It is impossible to ignore the sights. Inside there is a Museum upstairs viewing platform, which is to walk on 280 degrees. The eternal flame in memory of those killed in all wars. The place is simple, beautiful and solemn, and even the crowds behave with reserve, with dignity and respect.

A staple of Paris for any tourist who is visiting for the first time. Get photos of the entire Arc from outside the traffic circle. The line to the top is always long and runs down into underground. Try visiting during the week or during the off season. View are amazing from the top. The is great place also to visit during the night when it is lit up.

Great place. Go to the top for fantastic views. But be prepared for lots of steps. You can see the whole of Paris from the top and the chaos of the traffic below. We also went here to watch the Tour de France which was ideal with two large screens and shops very close for supplies as well as the sponsors village giving free food away! My best bit of Paris

Very cool how you need to go underground to reach the arc (around it are moving cars that won't stop for you). Just going around the arc and seeing stuff like the eternal flame is free, if you want to get inside you have to pay (unless you're under 26 and a EU citizen). After you walk a lot of stairs, there isn't really a lot to do or see. But if you walk a few more stairs you get in the top and my God the view is stunning. I would even say that the view is better than from the top of the Eiffel tower. Simply because you can see much more details (because everything doesn't appear tiny) and you get to see all the impressive monuments, including the Eiffel tower. So I highly recommend to get to the top and enjoy the view.

An iconic structure of Paris. Worth a visit and climb up. First to see the Museum. And then — to observe the surroundings from a height. Although not as high as the Eiffel tower, but the views of the city beautiful.

Amazing place with a great view of the romantic Paris city from the top, including the Eiffel tower. One cannot but appreciate the wonderful construction considering perfect symmetry of the roads connecting from the outer Arc to the center like the spokes of a wheel. One must not miss the top view especially in fine weather. It's so easily accessible by metro.

For those who love history, Arc de Triomphe is definitely a place not to miss. The architecture dwarfs a person and is more impressive than the Eiffel Tower. The view from the top is far better too while not as expansive as from the tower.

Spectacular. An amazing sight to see. Provides a wonderful view of Paris with a much safer feeling than the Eiffel Tower. Not a fan of heights, but this wasn't that bad. The spiral climb up and down wasn't wildly open for me to look down and feel like death was coming. Kids get in for free and students get a discounted rate. Cool how you cross the street by going underground. Would not suggest anyone undertaking the climb that isn't good with a lot of steps, but it is definitely worth it if you are willing. If not, still quite the work of art from underneath.

What an impressive thing to behold. It's one thing to see it in movies or photos but to see it in the flesh (or stone), to walk around and under it, to climb to the top for the view, and to see the grave of the unknown soldier with the eternal flame, these were all fascinating and memorable things I did there. The views from the top really help you get a hold of the layout of central Paris especially with the Champs Elysee and the Place de la Concorde way off at the end of it. It was cool to see how the traffic manages to get around it. Chaos was indeed part of it. One of the core places to visit when you visit Paris.

Museum pass was worth it as got to skip the ticket line and was put in a shorter line for security. Impressive view with a lot of stairs to climb. A few elderly people were really having a hard time getting up. It's a big spiral staircase with a bunch of stairs leading up from the subway and then to pass under the road again and back up. The view was amazing and the architecture was amazing. The inside exhibits were good explanations of the wars and history of battle uniform but I was expecting a bit more than posters on the walls and a few screens. The view at the top was amazing and you can walk all the way around. Once you are done you can take pictures at the bottom and relax before getting to go down the underpass. It is really easy to get to by metro just follow the signs as a bunch of lines stop here.

Totally recommended to watch the sunset from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. For under the age of 25 years resident in the EU is free. The climb is somewhat heavy, as there are no landings and if you have people behind you can't afford to stop, but it is quite short (approx. 4 minutes). It is worth the effort. It is also curious to see from above the quagmire that weapon with the cars in the actual roundabout: it is one of the few in the world that the vehicles that are within must yield to those entering.

The hotel is housed in a hausmannian, just 500 metres from the arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. Paris is not known for huge numbers but it is very compact and spacious. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi. On-site private Parking. The metro station Charles de Gaulle-Etoile and Georges V is located a 5-minute walk from the hotel. 8th arr. Is a great choice for travelers interested in shopping, romance and food. The area is also great for shopping, there are shops nearby popular brands: Cartier, H&M, Chanel, Burberry, Louis Vuitton. Compared to other options in the city, guests get more for the same money.
