This hotel is not located on the boulevard, but not so far from metro station, restaurants and supermarkets. And there are no pubs near this hotel. So, this hotel is so suitable for good sleep. In fact, receptionist is always just 1 person, so if there are some peoples to check in or check out, you will have to wait long time. But receptionist is so friendly and so kind, so you may not have bad feeling. Actually, the lift is so small and old, so if you always want to use lift, you may fell stress. The room is renovated cleanly, but is a little small.

A bit difficult to find if you are walking from Gare du Nord, but it's a cozy hotel. Tiny tiny elevator, can hold two people with light bags or one with big suitcases. The four person room was huge and had a wonderful balcony. Staff was friendly and spoke English and French. They gave tips about how to get around and tourist spots nearby. The corner was a bit loud at night with many people out on the streets, but that's not the hotel's fault. I'd stay there again, but I'd definitely catch a cab from the train instead of walking next time! It's a 15 minute walk, but I could never get the streets right.

Great location with many attractions within walking distance and near the metro. Rooms were adequate and service was very good. Only negative was that elevator was tiny. Don't expect to fit in more than two people, or one person with a big bag.

Our room was small (last floor attic) but to sleep, rest and shower perfect.
Heating, air conditioning, hairdryer, TV coffee maker with coffee and tea. Very good value for money. My Wi-Fi didn't reach me, but my wife did.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
They have options to get back to the airport cheaper but not leave it for the last day. The room was very clean and at reception there was a free coffee machine with treats and pasta. The elevator is ridiculous for the times they run.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, corner of courtesy with espresso coffee, chocolates and pastries 24 hours a day. There are coffee makers in the room. Wifi!

Everything I thought was excellent, it is a very central hotel, 2 metro stations nearby, with accessible food shops as well as prepared food. Breakfast is not plentiful but if enough. The rooms are small but acceptable. The treatment of people, although not all know Spanish try to help you.

Our stay in Paris was amazing. The people at the Hôtel Axel Opéra were friendly and courteous. They were always willing to help. We purchased the breakfast option with our stay which was worth the money. We were well satisfied each day before going out on our expeditions. The hotel is located in a really great part of town. It appears it is a favorite of locals and tourists alike. If we ever get back to Paris, I hope we can stay here again.

Hotel in great location. Small rooms Breakfast included good quality and variety. Staff very helpful. Nespresso coffee always available in the reception. Umbrellas always at your fingertips for guests. Missing a bit of attention to detail and it is better to go early for breakfast to not find the buffet unmanned. Good value for money.

Location is good. Bathroom in room very basic and lighting in rooms is bad. JEAN receptionist was very helpful. Breakfast is science fiction, caos, no service, basically no service provided. They cant cope with demand, all dirty everyday, no cups, glasses, food etc. Employees stressed having to deal with it and probably feeling embarrased about working for the "happy culture". Group. This was my second time at this hotel and wont recommend unless u are a backpacker sleeping in hostels, then this will be luxury to you. I will go back to the Astotel group with reliable service for 3stars.

If you want a dirty room, holes in the walls awkwardly hidden by hideous paintings, a window of the last century that no longer closes and outlets blackened by electric shocks, then this hotel is for you!

Great! Excellent staff, super friendly and help you all! Very well located, next to the metro stop Grand Bulevards. Very close to Opera and Galleries Lafayette. The room with a very big bed, well equipped kitchen and a bathroom completely renovated and very comfortable. To repeat without a doubt! All great!

Stay here if: -You don't mind waiting 10 minutes for a lift -You don't mind damp smells in your room -You don't mind bringing your own soap & shampoo -You don't mind having no towels in your room -You don't mind being offered a damp towel after you've had to go downstairs to collect the towel yourself, because they only have one member of staff, and because they managed not to complete their laundry for the day -You don't mind having your emails ignored by the hotel manager when you ask for a discount afterwards. The location, and the staff who were there, were good. Real pity about the management. Great location and very friendly staff. My room was quite small, the double bed basically filled the whole room. Tiny bathroom with even tinier shower. Slow and tiny elevator, definitely wouldn't fit a wheelchair in there. But thanks to the location quite reasonable for the price.

Beautiful place, has a lot of warmth, its rooms large and comfortable. Very good customer service.

No towel provided — on the first night, when we wanted to take shower, we found there is no towels in the room. My husband went downstairs to ask for towels, the staff said the drying machine is broken, and try his best to help, but he can only find half-dry towel, my husband didnt take it at the end. In the morning on the other day, my husband went to pick up towel again, they can provide only ONE dry towel, and gave us two half dry towel when we asked again. 2. The lift is small and slow — the lift is small which can let only 2 persons to fit in, and the lift is slow too. 3. Only one staff at night — only one staff at the reception at night, when we asked for towels for the first night, asked if they can send somebody to send us towel, but he said he can't leave the reception, because only one staff at night. 4. Dank smell in the room — smell comes from the toilet 5. Home really nice small but comfortable and well equipped rooms.

A typical central Paris hotel. Relatively clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Good local. Poky little hallways. Tiny lift and crazy spiral staircase. Reasonable for the price.

Retro Hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms display an antiquated design…

Hôtel central but really poor breakfast and room quality, no shower gel provided and electric cut without any urgency light in rooms.

It is a nice and cozy small hotel. It was a wonderful stay with a delicious breakfast.
I love hotel happy time and what a wonderful staff you have there! They are all kind, helpful and welcome all. The room is standard, cleaned and fully stocked up with amenities. Especially I would like to thank Lauren that always assist what I needed during my stay and of course "Brovo" to all staff too. This is a great hotel hospitality in Paris. The hotel itself located close to Grands Boulevards Metro station and easy accessibility to attractions. Definitely I will stay again and also I would love to recommend this hotel.

Came at 14:00 and the room still hadn't been cleaned and sorted from the previous occupant. The room was a nice size with lovely windows. Two single beds pushed together was disappointing, could hear a low vibration noise most of the night. Staff were friendly and the happy hour is a nice touch. Main disappointing moment was that the room took ages to get ready.

My parents were staying at the hotel and were treated terrible, bizarre and untrue charges for various services and rude behavior of the staff. Go look for another hotel!

Clean towels were not dry for 2 days in a row, walls are a bit too thin. Location is very good though.

Kindness and daily housekeeping near shops. Shop. Station and museums and clubs I would stay here again.

This hotel is quiet, in a neighborhood yet very lively. The room has a somewhat dated decoration but is functional.

Perfectly located just a few minutes from Grands Boulevards — 20 minutes walk from Sacre Coer or Louvre. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms — small but clean, plus nice free coffee time with delicious cakes in the lobby and portable Wi-Fi for just 1 Euro per day.

Accessibility for wheelchair is very limited. Access to the room is difficult because you have to cross two doors with groom, no access to the bathroom in a wheelchair, the bedding is old (bed is sloping because it lacks the feet from the top to the frame, very low, so it is not at all suitable for disabled people), no phone in the room not networks phone either, so if you fall you can tell anyone. Access to the buffet is helmed by three steps.
However, staff is friendly and try to make the stay as pleasant as possible.
Last annoyance: the room has been reserved by the site of the Paris tourist office that took a percentage of the amount due and precise that the rest of the sum will be required on the day of arrival at the hotel. However, the remaining sum was taken the day of the reservation and more the percentage by the tourist office was asked for me at the end of my stay, refusing to deliver me the invoice for my living expenses. How many stars: I'd 5 personnel but zero to the Manager and book this hotel.

I enjoyed this little gem of a hotel, close to lots of action, good restaurants close by cinema and theaters.

This is a great little hotel, we love our room up on the roof tops of Paris. Can't beat the location, value for money and helpful, friendly staff.

The best location, but nothing more. The bath was higher than the rest of the bathroom and almost played with head ceiling. Old bathroom, small room. Buffet breakfast with little variety.

Receptionist with very bad education. It caught our attention with very bad ways to mention during breakfast with another couple. They were ten and the normal volume. They gave us more bad hotel room.
