— Strongness — 1) Location: You can meet many tourist attractions in a walking distance. 2) Convenience: You can find many small restaurants and about two supermarkets (Marché, Carrefour) near this hotel. 3) Atmosphere: Nevertheless this hotel is adjacent to the tourist attractions, it had a serene atmosphere with highly safety at night. — Weakness — 1) Room size: The twin room that we chose was so small (but it wasn't problem for us). 2) Elevator: There's no elevator. So if you have a heavy luggage, you'd better not choose the room in higher stories.

The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Cozy place… pet friendly… walking distance from eifel tower…

It's been a little longer… The hotel was already a secret tip in 1994, even then there was no elevator in the former convent building… There was a super friendly lady at the reception (she spoke fluently German) which also gave good tips on where and how to go. Highly recommended!

A execrable receptionist, constantly in a bad mood and cantankerous. She barely knows how to smile.
The rooms are small and the old fashioned decoration. The only positive thing is the breakfast service…
In summary: Look for another hotel.

An old town hotel with a lot of charm. Nice and lovingly furnished, however, the rooms are not very large. There is no elevator, the way to the attic can be a long one. The staff is very nice. There are points for the great location: The Eiffel Tower is a 10-minute walk away …

Charming hotel located not far from the Eiffel Tower and easy access to the Seine and the surrounding Area.
The rooms are clean, the atrium is airy.
The receptionists are very friendly however, I experienced an unfortunate incident. I got engaged and went back to the hotel with the bouquet that my fiancé had offered Me.
The next day during our Check out we had left our stuff including 2 suitcases and the bouquet to the receptionist and the housekeeper, on our return the bouquet was no longer without tangible explanation and eventually I was told that another client had Taken.
This loss due to their carelessness represents a big disappointment and makes Me think about my next choice of hotel in Paris.

Good address. Too bad there is no catering service…

The room and bathroom were small, but clean and sufficient for a couple of nights to sleep. There is no lift, which may be a struggle for some people to get to the 4th floor. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful.

Hotel Malar is really in a good position for walking distance to eiffel tower. Really small and cute If you are a big person you will get crazy because of the shower is tooooo tight. The reception is open 24 hours so that's nice. Helpful in your questions.

The Hotel Malar is very serviceable. My husband and I stayed there for three days while we were in Paris. We're American and don't speak French, but the reception spoke great English and even helped us bring up our bags to the fourth floor free of charge. The room was smaller than we were used to, the bed was two twin mattresses pushed together, but it was clean and had hot water. The room also had a TV. It was a very nice stay.

Simple clean rooms but super nice staff — even offered to take my dog for a walk while I was at work. Also they let me keep my room a few hours over the check out time. Recommended.

Great location for the price. Small rooms. Extremely friendly staff. Pet friendly. Good Wifi. If you want a centrally located hotel and don't need all the amenities of a high priced chain, this is perfect.

If you are hard hotel is about right for a 2 star, the room is very small and the shower, the furniture is old but the sheets are clean and the beds comfortable and it is very well placed to visit the capital.
However the staff is great.

This is… just Inn… no! hotel!

We were there in February 2015. Was one of the best hotels we found for the price in this area. First of all the area is very good. Eiffel tower just 13 minutes walking (measured). Subway 7 minutes walking. The price is fair. The Wi-Fi connection is not perfect but fair. It drops sometimes. The rooms have hair dryer. The heating is high in winter so you are not having problems on that side. The beds are big but they are actually two joined beds. The first room they gave us had a problem with the key locker and they provide us a new room. There are a lot of different people on the reception but most of them speak English, and at least one Spanish. The indoor square is nice but you have no elevator to go up to the first or second floor, have that in mind. I see this hotel as a good one for young couples.

Tiny room without decoration, not at all resembling what is presented on their web site. Old, ugly and damaged furniture. Only 8 posts TV, including 2-3 in french. 2 small beds. Room directly overlooking the floor where everybody goes and so very noisy. No ventilation in the room: forced to open the window, overlooking the floor, to get out the moisture from the shower. No privacy. In contrast, close to everything, clean.
