Don't book this hotel unless you want to bid for the highest price. Hotel cancelled reservation. The hotel ran the cc payment before our arrival (in fact it was the night before we were to arrive). Upon calling them they were rude and not helpful at all. We were told that the cancellation was because of payment, but we hadn't even checked in yet. Our reservation stated to pay at time of check in. The cc was run the night before and apparently several times before that. (Our cc company contacted us about potential fraud) Upon our contact with them they stated that they gave our room away and that the hotel was booked up with no rooms available. They said they could get us another room… of course at a much higher price (almost twice the original rate) (they said they had no more rooms… so how can they get a room now? ) Upon further examination of other hotels in the area… all the hotels were sold out and were calling each other for room availability… so it might a bit of a reach but they clearly wanted to book the room at a higher rate since we booked over a month prior to this trip at a much lower rate than what the rooms are going for now. Oh… and btw… they are trying to charge a cancellation fee… So … BUYER BEWARE.

The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The comfort type room is quite large, clean and the bathroom too. The breakfast buffet is varied enough, we would have enjoyed fresh bread and not frozen bread (only downside met). The Wi-Fi works well.

Nice, clean hotel. It is on a good location. The only downside is that the lift is noisy, our room was next to the lift and heard it at all hours. The receptionist on arrival was very helpful however on departing the hotel the receptionist seemed a little rude.

Visited in Apr 2018. Rooms badly maintained, sound isolation of rooms was deficient. Breakfast was actually very good.

Love the location — around the corner from the latin quarter, so much to eat, drink, see and do all day and into the late night. Easy uber to everywhere else.

Have benefited from a TripAdvisor offer and have been upgraded. At the price paid, the benefits are correct. Let's stay dubious on the real prices off special offers. However, very good welcome. Buffet breakfast varied and at will appreciable.

I recommend myself to everyone as it is located next to the College of France and a lot of libraries and shops.

Stayed here for a weekend in Paris. Easy to get to from the Metro, on the same line as the airport. Great location, I walked to all the main sites. The hotel is above a theater that is quite noisy. I wish I had requested an inner room for less noise. The room was clean, bed was nice bathroom was dated but also clean. Not sure I would come back because of the noise but the location can't be beat for the price.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Our room was great. Spacious and very clean with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Beds were comfortable and the room was very quiet in the evening. No street noise. The hotel was very expensive relative to the level of service. But we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent attention at reception, they spoke in Spanish too. Facilities very nice and clean.

Only flaw, early morning noise coming from the street and evening from the restaurant across the street. The windows let the noises Pass.

I had originally booked for only 2 nights but the staff here were so nice that I extended my booking for my entire stay. The rooms are clean and equipped with your basic needs. Located in a great area I had no issues getting around the city from where I was based. And the staff were more than happy to help me navigate around and book whatever activities or tours I was wanting to do. Thanks for a lovely experience hotel central saint germain staff xx.

Pretty hotel, renovated. Except the rooms.

I stayed there six nights in March — over the St. Patrick's Day weekend — and found the hotel perfectly located, and very comfortable. I didn't partake of their breakfast, which looked quite well stocked, but walked out to various cafes each morning; after all, we were staying right in the middle of a residential and student neighborhood, what better way to see a city but through the waking and daily activities of their people! Although the mornings seemed to begin early with the garbage truck proceeding up the Rue Champollion at about 6:30, that served as an alarm clock! And the windows opened wide so that fresh air and a view were easily accessible. Great spot.
