Lovely hotel with clean and modern rooms! Great friendly staff and loved the man who served us breakfast. Great food and nothing was too much trouble for him. Reception were great too as I had a terrible nights sleep due to drunk guests across the hall, so got a free breakfast to take away. Fabulous area too. Le Marais has everything! I will be back. Merci Beaucoup!

Perfect location at the Marais quarter. Nice, clean rooms, suitable fo a couple without children. Exellent crew! Probably will come back if in paris again.

Avoid Hotel Duo as it is a construction site. When we complained at reception we're brushed off that the hotel was fully booked. The night manager mentioned 'but when I leave, they haven't even started working yet' (he leaves at 6:30AM. ). I emailed the hotel afterwards — they don't even bother to respond. So much for customer service.

Location is really great with easy access to the Marais, and the river a short walk. Close to metro stops and lots of conveniences on Rue Rivoli as well. The hotel is clean and stylish and the service was friendly. The only reason I dont give it five stars is that the room was very small. But it was a good experience overall.

I stayed here for business and was very impressed by the service. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful and the room was a very good size for Paris. I would definitely stay here again.

We experienced the worse situation at check-in which led us to leave the place because of insults from the staff. Arriving with my fiancy with darker skin than myself made them treat us really bad. I have never been subject to such treatment. Never again at this dump of a place. The staff was highly unprofessional. I have stayed at this place before and liked it as it is in the centre of the GAY disctrict. But this time we were offered a really horrible situation during check-in. I warn peolple from this place.

Very convenient location! Small room — not big enough for a large suitcase, especially if you're travelling with someone! Had an encounter with a rude guy at reception who told me off for take the room key with me when I left the hotel and that I shouldn't be taking the room key out of the hotel and its policy to leave the key at reception every time you leave the hotel — seemed SO strange that the hotel wouldn't trust you to take the key — especially when I had checked in, this information was not told to me. I asked him to see the policy and it's only a "recommendation". Wouldn't trust to leave the key, how would they know who is who — it's not like they have pictures of our faces to prove that we are who we say we are — anyone could come and say they are from room XYZ and take the key! If it's for security reason — housekeeping has a universal key. Left a sour taste in my mouth.

Construction starts at 7:30am Rooms are so small and hair dryer doesn’t work. The construction is awful view out window is cranes and loud noises. Not peaceful. Couldn’t check in after a long day of travel. Had booked for 2 people and they didn’t have a room ready. They never notified our room was ready even though we were hanging in the lobby. Only plus was the staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was a bit more updated.

Zen Place and designed for conviviality. Pleasant moment to alone, to two or even more, the moment will be magical and delicious.

Location is perfect. Walking distance to most places and le marais area is fun. Reception and service where great. They have sauna which I only used once but it was excellent, did the job after a long day of city walks. The hotel itself is totally renovated but was built in an old building so they didn't have much to work with, and you can see it mainly in the (very) small elevators and narrow corridors. Small rooms, but I think it's true for most paris centrally located boutique hotels. Overall perfect experience!

Simple but very good situation.

I was here two times the first time was really great due to an upgrade. The second time the shower was exactly in the opposite direction of the window showing to the house at the other side of the street without the possibility to have a curtain or similar… hmmm…

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood us bustling with activity. Short walk to Notre Dame and Louvre. Subway is one block away. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They all excelled at English. The European style room (small) was lovely. Beautiful bathroom, comfy beds and pillows, plus thick towels. In my opinion a room upgrade is worthwhile.

Superb hotel, excellent service from friendly and helpful staff. Perfect central Paris location. Clean and neat room with good facilities.

Not recominedo for nothing this hotel. The deal is ungrateful and disrespectful from the beginning. No sense of hospitality.

A minimalist yet warm hotel just behind the big department store. Very nice and helpful staff, it is located in a very nice and easy access area, nearby the metro station, the city hall and the centre Pompidou is just two minute away. The only thing that is complicated in this hotel is the way they make key system for the door room.

Painful treatment Just enter, terrible experience. Paris is very expensive, use the money well and look for a hotel where they do not disrespect anything else arrive.

Bad treatment of the staff, despots and unpleasant. Not recommended.

Degrading treatment in reception, undignified and inhumane. Improper of a hotel of such characteristics. Not recommended. They are being moved by a difficult situation in which we were involved.

I do not recommend this hotel absolutely to anyone, the front desk managers would scold the prospective guests, the deal is inhumane. We had a terrible experience with our young children who were treated very badly. They were violent in their forms and badly educated to the extreme. Paris is wonderful, do not risk your comfort, do not think to book in this hotel.

The Hotel has a very good location inside of Paris. It's close to many lovely places were you can eat and go shopping. The Staff has been very helpful in all regards. The hotel rooms were good for a couple of days, only the bathroom was a little small.

Great location but pricey! Attentive staff, happy to help. Elderly or people with mobility issues MUST book room with shower as bathtub really high. Room access system takes practice for some.

I arrive at 10pm, to find they've overbooked and no room is available. Simply not good enough.

The rooms are very modern and clean and big enough.

Also the breakfast (intercontinental breakfast) was very good and also more then enough for breakfast and also the morning breakfast staff was very friendly. Definitely I will come back to Hotel Duo. Thank you so much for the good and nice service!

Handsome rooms. Pleasant staff. But schizophrenic room prices. Used stay here quite a bit but an extreme version of hotel pricing system forced me elsewhere. If you get a good price jump on it. And don't let them try to change it. When all goes right it's a wonderful small hotel in one of the best parts of town!

An absolutely beautiful and modern hotel, right in the heart of the Marais, less than a block away from the Hotel Deville stop on the Metro. The customer service was fantastic, and when I return to Paris I will absolutely stay here again.
