Wonderful hotel. Stayed at Hotel du Louvre in 2009 with my husband. Stunning views, great location, friendly service and delicious menu. Highly recommend.

This has to be one of the finest dining experiences one can hope to enjoy in Paris. Beautifully understated, marvellous food and superior service. Sublime.

Awesome location!! Few minutes walking distance from Musee du Louvre~ If you enjoy museum, you are going to need a few days to check out this HUGE museum. This hotel location will be perfect! Metro station is right next to the hotel, super convenience! The hotel is definitely 5 stars. The decoration & the service is fantastic. Yes, it is pricey but you definitely get your money worth!

When I styayed there, I knew it was old and dated. However, it was exactly why I loved it. The employees there were very courteous and helpful. I sure hope they don't turn the hotel into a modern cookie-cutter hotel that lacks character. This hotel's real charm is its history. I will try to book a night there as soon as they finish the renovations. :)

We stayed here for our honeymoon in November of 2017. The location was decent in terms of accessing Paris' attractions, but the surrounding streets are filthy and the hotel itself was subpar, at best. The walls and windows are thin, so expect to hear your neighbors and cars at all hours. The toilet was in a separate closet so small my husband barely fit in the room, and the other bathroom amenities were not particularly nice. I literally would not have recognized our room from the pictures I found online. It was also under construction (and apparently had been for a long time), so we had to go in through a back entrance. The elevator is tiny (three people can sort of squish in) and the gym was closed. I wouldn't ever stay there again.

I'm a plumber and I'm renovating the hotel. I'm keeping you informed.

I have not been a customer of this hotel but photos circulate on the net about renovation work. I just want to congratulate the hotel for this extraordinary idea of communication with this tarp erected in front of the façade in works that attracts the eye. The drawings are sumptuous and having a minimum of curiosity for the pretty things, I looked for why and who had realized this… Low Hat

This hotel is right next-door to the Louvre, which I thought would be convenient but turned out to be awful. The neighborhood is dirty and noisy, the hotel is under construction and apparently has been for some time (so no gym). The bathroom in our room had a separate "toilet room" that was so small I didn't want to close the door. It was literally the size of an upright coffin. The hotel is incredibly loud — you will hear the cars all night and any noise your neighbors make. For your money, walk an extra 5 minutes to the Louvre and stay some place much nicer. In positives: the beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful.

In the immediate vicinity of the largest museum in the world, the food is excellent, as is the service. The building is in repair, there will be a closure at the beginning of the year 2018 a few weeks.

Yes, the hotel has a 'dated ' feel but after staying at the W in Paris it was a welcome feel. This hotel was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and it is across the street from the louvre hence the hotel name.

I would recommend this hotel. Spend a night in a beautiful property. Good location
Yes works currently. But no noise at night.
Nice room. Nice breakfast
And what could be more beautiful to be with the woman of her life in such a warm place.

Lovely hotel under renovation but the staff were amazing. Brilliant location with good sized rooms. Think this place will be special once complete.

A Romantic Stay! Fantastic is their location! Excellent were their staff and services! Charming was our suite, with spectacular balcony views of the Louvre, and, vintage furnishings; yet, not convenient were the outlets for devices; and, a bit loud it was in the bedroom of traffic noises in the mornings! Wonderful rates while they are presently under renovations as a boutique hotel, am sure after looking at the plans, by May of 2019, the rates and availability will be different when it emerges as the “it” grand hotel in Paris!

Super friendly and helpful staff as befits a higher end hotel. Undergoing renovations currently and will be closing for a while. Rooms before renovations were a bit dated, in particular locations of outlets etc. But all consistent with an older building which this hotel occupies. Great location, and area is relatively quiet at night. Have stayed there a couple of times and will be back.

Unfortunately my 5 night stay at this glorious old hotel was marred by the unknown knowledge that it was under major renovation. We booked this hotel through American Express for my 50th birthday and when we got there, discovered it was cloaked in scaffolding and blanketed on 2 sides. Not only was the construction noise a bother, but the water situation was terrible. The shower would go from hot (scalding) to cold (freezing) in the course of a shower. Though we complained, it was never fixed. The beds were also a problem as they were extremity firm. The staff were very gracious and tried their best to assist wherever possible, but for a hotel charging full price, I think that they should advertise their current state so that those considering, should be aware before booking. The location of the hotel was perfect for tourists as it was across from the Louvre Museum, making sightseeing very easy. The restaurant in the hotel was also very good, and we enjoyed breakfast there in the mornings.

Julia C.

Incredible service. Beyond any expectations. The rooms themselves are not modern in anyway. Look forward to the renovations, The space will match the service.

#1 French toast in all my life and I've been around lots of French toast. Get it at the hotel breakfast by asking your waiter for it (don't get suckered into filling up on the buffet). Despite currently being under renovation, this hotel is fantastic. Tip: for a casual yet delicious dinner head just down the street to Les Fines Gueles and order the beef tartare.

Pierre G.

Works but will become modern and beautiful

Casey D.

A beautiful old building with a central location — — less than a minute away from the Louvre by foot. Currently under a much needed renovation, due to be finished in December 2018. However, the current rooms are very musty and have dated and yellowed furniture.

Sy P.

I rate this hotel with 3 star and +0. 5 star because of Hyatt. Visited this hotel by end of May, interior decorations are old and damaged, carpet is smelly. Location is very convenient, close to famous sight seeing spots and museums. Front desk service is excellent with 5 star hotel standard because operated by Hyatt. If remodel hotel interior decorations, will consider to revisit or recommend friends to visit.

Karen S.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Although the location was wonderful, the hotel is very old and run down. Our room was very dated. Even the carpet in the lobby was torn. The staff was very rude and did not provide simple amenities like toilet tissue or water. Would definitely not stay here again.

In works, so quite old-fashioned, but beautiful room in the DRC.

Shannon P.

Wonderful hotel across the street from The Louvre, Main center entrance. Metro stop is right outside so easily accessible. We stayed in a corner room 445 on 5th floor facing The Louvre, but could also see down to the opera house. Absolutely Amazing Views. Windows opened up and it was incredible. A little noisy, but your right in the heart of the city, so can't complain. Glass elevator and stairway is beautiful. Everything was Very Clean, and I am very picky about my hotels, All the staff took Great care of us, with turn down service every night as well. Welcomed us in the lobby every time we left and came back. Hop on Bus right down the street. Would stay again and highly recommend.

C is a 4 ☆ hotel for at the moment for me it is 3 ☆ The hotel half is closed for works, the bar is closed for work most of the questions will remain unanswered like the sauna, the chests in the rooms is other it is necessary to wait for the end of the TR Avaux to know the truth about the hotel at the moment this is not a 4 ☆ hotel It really takes a super facelift is more for this hotel for it deserves 4 ☆

Camila H.

Nice hotel, great breakfast and service. Would definitely go back.

Ronald H.

Not only is the location perfect, but so is the entire staff. The front desk, and especially the concierge group took care of every need/problem. The entire "hotel du Louvre" experience is top-notch, and a must for all travelers to Paris. Having a wonderful restaurant and lounge in-house is a major plus. We will always stay here, and so should you. Thank you again for a wonderful week, especially for our grand-daughter who was enjoying her high school graduation trip. She chose Paris, and we chose the Hotel du Louvre. Both excellent choices. Ron Hanna

Brigitte Z.

Unique atmosphere and friendly staff! Benjamin, Maya, Saddrick so far are the ones that have done our welcome be spectacular! They can help you out inSpanish, French or English

Brian B.

Pretty nice retro atmosphere. Loved the feel of the place. Right next to the Louvre.

Immobiliare G.

Very good a bit Campbell but well deserved.

Marcelo S

Desk clerk English is very good! Room is so clean! Also brought plush toys are cute, the French sense of humor … Wife likes it here! In particular, the surrounding environment is perfect … Is like living in a Palace, next to the Louvre Museum and theater … First floor dining room is very good, whether it is breakfast (hotel guests discount) or dinner (the fork can be discounted) is very good, staff were very friendly!

Jacob D.

Location is good, rooms interior looks kinda old

Just got back from our first trip to Paris staying at Du Louvre. Great room overlooking the Louvre. Third floor was cool and quiet. Great service, polite and accommodating. The location is the best you could ask for. Not only next to the Louvre but next to all the Metro hubs and great night life. Cafes down stairs are great for people watching with food and great friendly staff. Xavier the concierge got us great seats to the Crazy Horse at the last minute. We will definitely make Hotel Du Louvre our hotel for our next Paris trip. Mr. & Mrs. Olson

This hotel's location is amazing. You are literally across the street from the Louvre. The hotel building itself is not incredibly large or modern, but there's something wonderful in that. The service was great — — the concierge was happy to give us recommendations each day. Many sites are within a 30 min walking distance. Personally I like to walk everywhere so I found that to be very convenient. Overall my husband and I had a wonderful stay. Thanks Hôtel du Louvre!

Marcus L.

We had a real great time at Hotel du Louvre. Guest relationship, specially Jeremie, did a fantastique job. The hotel is very good situated for tours by foot, metro or taxi. They could do some renovations, but hey making you pay less for the rooms, leaves you with more money for shopping. Food at the Hotel Brasserie is amazing. Can recommend this hotel anytime! Thanks for the great stay.

Stephen C.

A perfectly located hotel right in the thick of it next to the Louvre. A metro station opposite which allows access to most sites of central Paris in under 30 mins. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite and the lobby area and much of the decor was extremely impressive. I would however NOT have described the room as that worthy of a five star hotel. It was about the size of an average budget hotel room and fairly plain; certainly none of the grandeur you might expect from a Parisian 5 star hotel. The bathroom was also a bit of a disappointment with the shower not really managing to maintain a steady temperature making showers uncomfortable at times. During the week we also found we got bitten a lot and having never seen a mosquito, this raised some suspicions however there is no firm evidence to show that this was due to poor housekeeping and the bed appeared to have been changed daily. All in all, this hotel's location is a massive plus however don't expect to be paying all this money for a true 5 star experience (in our experience, although the photos on the website look lovely) as I personally have experienced 3 star hotels with more grandeur than this place. Average hotel but excellently positioned. I was interested to see that this hotel has a 4 star review on Google places. Having read a few I notice these are people mistakenly reviewing the museum rather than the hotel. Beware of the score for this hotel.

I've been to the museums in London, "National Art Gallery", the "Britidh Museum" and no color, the Louvre gives thousand kicks to those English museillos.
I've been in the Louvre 2 times and on both I was stone, metal, canvas, bronze. I believe that we should devote a whole piece day, come early, go out to eat something light and take a walk and return in the afternoon. The best is a painting.

… a Museum, impressed that little, but lives more by the fact, that it is a must when visiting Paris. When visitors asked what has impressed you personally the most, so most answer probably with the crowd before the Mona Lisa. I'm no different.
Crowds of tourists crowd around the main attractions (Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo…) and that many hustle and bustle in this museum leads rapidly to a fatigue.
You can avoid the large crowds at the box office with the ticket machine. 8, 50 euro, the price of admission speaks for itself. (May, 2010)
