Very excellent service. A lot of people complain about the age of the building but I found it charming and warm. Breakfast was very good quality and taste. At concierge, Pascal went above and beyond regular service. Highly recommended.

Not clean, outdated. Location was great though.

Very friendly front desk. Gabriel was especially helpful, and conscientious of needs. Helped to book Seine cruise and airport transfer.
Historic hotel, a little worn now — great price online reflects the shabby conditions. Yet still clean, all amenities provided (toiletries, towels, private bath, HOT shower! ).

Don’t do this to yourself, you just won’t enjoy Paris staying in this rip off. Get something decent even if it costs a little more. Everything in this place is dated, moldy and straight up dirty. Staff is terrible too because you know why not at this point. Now I am scared to bring bed bugs home.

1st room had no air conditioning old bad condition! We were told by staff they put us in the worst room even though they had better. 2nd room ac unit broke 2/2 way through the night. Terrible place — do not stay there.

Very generous-sized rooms, unlike small modern hotels. I thought it was a charming hotel. I wish the walls could talk. I must keep in mind that while the hotel is not shiny and brand new and ultra modern, I consider the very affordable cost per night, which is just steps from the Louvre and all the other major sites in Paris. The hotel also has a lot of old world character. I thought the staff was also kind. (Note to tourists: please try to speak a few words of French, it goes a long way. )

The whole room and management is terrible! Do not get fooled by the pictures. The rooms are dirty. Smelly corridor, broken toilets, no AC, terrible staff, If you travel from far to enjoy Paris do not place yourself in this hotel. The location great but that does not mean that you will have to compromised your health. I made a mistake by booking it and I do not want anyone to suffer a terrible experience. It appears that he hotel control some reviews and make it look better but it is not. Your health is more value than your desire to be close the museum of Louvre.

Whilst the hotel may be a little dated it is always fresh and clean. My rating is based on the attitude of the concierges over my 7 day stay — wow they are friendly, hilariously funny & really made my stay that little bit more fantastic. Whilst I am no French speaker, I try & the concierges encouraged me daily “to give it a go”. Thank you Normandy a true French experience.

Today we arrived in this 4 star hotel! After we had the keys to the 125 rooms I was very surprised how this hotel could be a 4xxx star. There are no words. It's just awful! These are the chambers of the Bastille in the 17th century. A conditioning system is a separate story. A broken Chinese outdoor band and fan. He can not sleep as a tarahiite. Stink and dampness are just words. I hope for decency of the administrator and we will move to another room.

Lots of pluses: location is the main plus, the entrance is not past the front desk, the staff even speak Russian (not all of course). What I would like to improve: if the windows go inside the yard, then when opening the window, because it is stuffy (and there is no air conditioning), very noisy, because the hood works. Also ordering a taxi for the morning in the pre-evening, had to wait for about 15 minutes.

I stayed twice in this hotel because of the central location and because it was the cheapest hotel l could find just 3 minutes walk from Louvre. Subway (Metro) is close by as well as many other attractions and nice restaurants and stores. Supermarket is 5 minutes walk. Rooms are dated but you get what you paid for. Anyway you only sleep there and spend the time outside enjoying gorgeous Paris while saving money on hotel. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. They organize shuttle bus to the airport that is double cheaper than taxi. Great savings altogether so you can spend money on something else in expensive Paris.

Extremely disappointing… Comfort more than relative, everything is worn, from furniture to sanitary, through Windows… No soundproofing… The photos speak for themselves.

To avoid if possible, the hotel has very old and not refurbished furniture, no double glazing so very noisy.
But what disappointed me the most is the breakfast, apart from the small pastries the scrambled eggs were not good (boiled porridge) to have the happiness of eating eggs almost correct, it is necessary to pay in addition, between 5 and 8 euros not included Dan s the price of breakfast! I wanted to take a hot chocolate, impossible because the machine was not working, they were at least 5 staff members trying to restart the machine for 20 min. Disappointing experience, a pity for the place where it is located.

Good mattresses, good cleaning. Excellent location. It is a hotel that was very nice but it is now deteriorated by the passage of the years. Quality price will correspond to the location. Would equally. I was told that it will be closed from April 2018 for refurbishment.

Awesome location close to a few metro lines and within walking distance to a couple of major attractions. Great staff-very helpful regarding anything you need.

The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Paris and Louvre is a couple of mins walk away. It's quite dated for this day and age but I'm sure the owners are aware of that. We were given the top floor double room was just alright for price — we stayed there for two nights. Interior needs uplifting and the bathroom shower needed an effort to use. There was no holder to hold the shower and I had to hold that in my hand whilst bathing. There was no tea making facility in the room — that sucks, isn't it? Minibar was empty and there was no complimentary beverages as well — at least they could some water but nevermind, it's all done and dusted now. Given the location, we quite enjoyed our stay but I wouldn't stay in the hotel again unless they've improved on the facilities and interior.

Everything was normal until the time of leave. We hired a shuttle to the airport. Our flight was at 8:50 so we wanted to get out of the hotel at 6 or 6:30. They told us that we had to be much earlier and that the shuttle was going to the 5. We hired the shuttle. We pay 16 € to the hotel and we had to pay 20€ to the driver when it arrives at the airport. When leaving we did the checkout and we jumped into the car that was waiting for us at the door. It was a taxi… when it started we asked if he was the hotel shuttle because it seemed unlikely that we were alone… the driver said yes… To get to the airport we had to pay 57€… we discussed with the driver but we had to pay. We called the hotel to tell the situation and they told us that there had been a confusion for our guilt… but no one apologized, nor gave us back the money we had paid for the course shuttle, or anything like that…

Loved this place. It's old, but you can tell it was really fancy at one point—but that doesn't mean it's not clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, although the bar downstairs isn't open nearly as often as you'd probably like. But that's okay. Location is good with plenty of cafés in the area and the Louvre practically next door.

Hi, I was 3 nights there and got a lot to report.
I arrived at the hotel and my first impression was that it was very rustic.
This was not bothered me because I knew it was an old hotel.
When I went to the room, I looked at the bathroom.
The sight shocked me and immediately went to the reception to complain about the poor hygiene in the bathroom.
The room in itself was very poorly furnished, the bed-length were full of harre and we had no heating and outside it was — 15 degrees.
As I said, I complained and got a new room the next day.
What was doubtful is that I got the key card from a room where other guests have been housed.
Seriously now I was in and there were still everything about private things that could easily be stolen.
I think that is very irresponsible.
The location of the Holt is a good 2 min away from the metro and in the area is a McDonalds and a supermarket.
Very close to the Louvre also still.
It was very easy to get to the nearby sights.

Very well eaten, professional service. I recommend. Warm atmosphere with a fireplace lit with wood fire. Professional meal. Thank you. The fish was well cooked, the vegetables came back;) good dessert. My colleague liked his input.

Very nice hotel with on the ground floor a beautiful reception room with ceilings with the old beautifully painted. A very nice lobby. The rooms are ok but fortunately within 2 months the hotel closes for works and is going to be even more beautiful. There is just a downside to the reception which is in front of the reception where the smile is not always on the appointment of one of the members of staff but the others are very smiling and pleasant and inform you with kindness.
The bar is very nice, cozy and warm. At the bottom a small living room and the toilet very clean. I look forward to seeing what this will give with the new work as it is already very nice hotel, warm and welcoming located in the Avenue of the opera at two steps from the opera, Pyramid and the Louvre Museum a place strategic for tourists and Business people. Upstairs the rooms and also lounges for meetings with rooms for rent for conferences.

The hotel itself is not bad. But when booking, the main criterion was location, and it is great. 100m from the Louvre, to the entrance of the Carousel from Rivoli Street. And for this the hotel itself can be forgiven a lot. We were put on the 6th floor, well very economical option. I understand that the floor level of the rooms depends, the lower the better. But the beds are comfortable and very wide. The underwear was changed every day. Funny, but the glasses are plastic and it terribly infuriated her husband. If I was alone or with a friend, I would have asked to change the room for a decent one, but my husband wouldn't bother. Given that we only spent the night in it, it is tolerable. You're not going to Paris to get a hotel. If I come again, maybe I'll go back to Normandi. When booking, it is better to specify the floor.

So getting into the hotel was fine but the wait to get into the room took atleast a couple of hours so we had to wait around. Their were mid-haps the room and it was reasonable but the shower was broken and there was mould above it. One night me and my partner were eating at the table and the chair broke on him (the other one should soon be on its way. ) I’m not a picky person, but to pay another 100 on top to get superior twin room was pretty pointless. Being my first time in Paris. The receptonists were particularly rude and ignorant. A part from this, the bed and room service was good, attraction wise everything is a 20minute walk which isn’t too bad when you’re enjoying yourself.

This place is crazy old. Clean… but very old. It really feels like it could be haunted. The staff was nice, the rates are good, and it is in a good location. My “tv” was smaller than my laptop screen. Nice Normandy. Nice.

Even though perfectly located just a few hundred meters from Louvre etc. This hotel needs to be renovated since rooms and hallways have a heavily "overused" look… Doesn't merit its 4 star rating in current state… At the same time breakfast is nice and room prices are reasonable…

Location is everything in this hotel. All the rest needs an upgrade. Writing tables with unremovable drawers, broken locks of the end toilet door, signs of century old dust in the wardrobe shelves. Be careful when stepping out from the lift especially on the ground but on other floors as well. There is unnoticeable small step, at which your feet bones could be broken. Standard breakfast with really tasty Paris croissants.

The worst hotel I have done in Paris only positive Point is the location just a few steps from the louvres. But for the rest catastrophe: Arriving in room number 507 a smell of cold tobacco to vomit even the bedding was impregnated impossible to change room to be called full hotel.
The shower a joke the old and broken tile for some. The bathroom cabinet all scratched.
The flaps so rusty I thought I caught tetanus.
The paintings that peel off the walls.
The breakfast was all cold to get a coffee 30 minutes waiting time as the employees (who do what they can with the means at their disposal) change from coffee machine.

The room was spacious but the structure of the hotel is very old. The staff is not the best of the courtesy but they are still efficient and they guarantee good service. Great value for money.

The place is old, but with a classic touch that gives an air of being in the last century, very good location, close to many shops and places of interest, the maintenance could be improved, if in doubt a good choice since you do not come to Paris to be in the room.

The hotel is very well located, almost next to the museum of Louvre and close to several metro stations, the best time of this hotel went a long time ago, all the facilities are quite old but functional in so far as possible, but for more than two hundred euros a night I would expect that at least the staff is very friendly and it is not at all.

The only good thing about this place is the location. You can live with the not very helpful staff, the bad breakfast and the very ill-equipped rooms (do NOT expect an iron, room service or decent TV). A major point however is that the hotel does not have A/C in the rooms so you would have to sleep with the windows open. If you are someone who needs to sleep in a quiet and cold room then I would suggest you look for other places. And yes, just note that you are unlikely to get a room similar to the pictures you see in the different websites so do not expect you will get something different than what we are describing.

Grand hotel near of the Paris downtown and Eiffel Tower, it's so awesome, like taking the classic design of a 1960's hotel.

This charming but tired Hotel was right up our alley. Having an incredible location and a bargain price, it should appeal to other people just like us.

Poor maintenance, rooms a/c was destroyed and when I asked about it they just said they didn't have ac. There was Stained carpets, supplies on balcony, broken lights. No new room. I was completely ignored they just said sorry. It says it's a four star hotel. It is most certainly not. This place is a joke. Save your money go somewhere else.

I went there for brunch at the bar. The entrance must be done by the hotel. At the front desk the staff chatted and we felt we were annoying them by asking where to go.
Arrived at the bar big disappointment. The decoration is completely outdated and in bad condition (see Photo) and the buffet reduces to its simplest expression. Besides, orange juice aside, nothing is homemade, they serve only the industrial! The cakes served on the platter were not even thawed yet (see Photo). Even with 40% discount This brunch was charged us 27 euros per person and left us a bitter taste…

Came here to Sunday brunch. The staff of the reception and bar was not really welcoming. No one came to our table so we went to the buffet. The choice of the buffet is very limited. Many unfrozen industrial dishes especially pastries which where not entirely unfrozen inside. Coffee is so so. Like from vending machine. With your brunch you get a St. Jacques tartare which is good but small and a creamy soup which was nothing special but good. Another positive point is freshly squeezed orange juice. For the rest it is a robbery for the price you pay.

Everything is period and was not maintained as it should be in a 4 star.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the Hotel. The location is fantastic, no question, but the room was impossible cruel. Torn down wallpapers, furniture that falls apart Soon. It took us a lot of effort to get the other room. The receptionist didn't want us to believe it was really that bad.

Acceptable with reservations. The staff is correct but can be improved. The rooms are beautiful and the furniture old but well preserved. Pity that our TV did not work in the 5 days that we were there, despite having advised. To take into account!

This place is absolute garbage. I visited here 10 years ago and it is still as bad today as it was then. The rooms were dirty and grimy with ripped and torn furniture. I took a business client from Rolls Royce to stay at this hotel and was humiliated when I saw the place, It is NOT a 4 Star hotel it is not even a 1 Star hotel. It's a Motel 6 with obscene prices. Deserves to be around $50 a night, if that.

We go back to this hotel for our 1 year anniversary and we are more than disappointed! We had a deluxe room where there is no luxury (carpet spent, more than chipped sink, TV with French black and white channels…) It was more than 35 ° C and there is even no air conditioning in the room, this hotel is at most a 2 stars! We wanted to have a drink at the bar for happy hour 7: 00, the bar was closed and the restaurant the night too! The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

I'm certain that this hotel is 1 star, not 4 stars. The front door to the room was falling apart, the bedding hasn't been changed in decades and there isn't any air conditioning or fan in the room — it feels like a sauna during the warmer months. Avoid if you can.

I loved this property! It was clean, well maintained but still authentic. I went to Paris to EXPERIENCE the history and the old world style. Not to stay at the Ritz. So for the price we paid the room was perfect! It is so centrally located that we literally only took a cab once. Wish the mattress was little softer. I will order more blankets to put under the sheets next time! Super cute. Friendly staff.

It's not that bad. Breakfast's quit nice and the location is perfect. You can get anywhere you wish very easy. The room was awfully small, the furniture was extremely old, but sweet paris windows made it better. So, the fact that this hotel was built in 19 century has led to good and bad stuff, and it's ok. You won't regret if you choose it, because anyway here you'll feel, that you're actually in Paris.

To say this hotel is sold as a 4* is very misleading. I found it very overpriced for what it actually is! The entrance hall and reception desk is very impressive, but the rooms are a disgrace. The air-con (or lack of it) does not work: The sole method of cooling the room was a small rotating fan blowing air around. The plaster on the wall was cracked and coming off, there were damp patches on the walls in the bathroom and one of the plug sockets was coming away from the wall. The staff seemed miserable and on checking out, found that they had not added on an extra charge which they should have done when I arrived. Perhaps the only thing going for it, is the location is right by the Louvre and Jardin de Tuileries and the Metro. I wouldn't stay here again.

Room 309-the horror! Repair? And why. This same Paris centre. Breakfast: there is no spoon, sausage ended. Bread, milk and cereals.

The hotel is not bad. Food for breakfast full, but the service "0". Every day had to wait for the devices, the food, the impression that food does not specifically stand until all the bread does not eat. Coffee wants to use with jam or honey to eat, but no spoons. Kind of like food it is and it seems to be no. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, but it jammed.

Room without personality, noisy (i was able to ear everything coming from outside, the room beside, ecc), beds were horrible. The only good reason to choose this expensive hotel is that the Louvre is near — nothing else.

The only thing salvageable is the location, Hotel lacks much maintenance, is that stayed in the 1960s and they never did renovation, Wi-Fi was never the signal room, several guests discuss the same. Bath filtered everything. The TV was crap, you hear the footsteps of guests who are on the floors above.

Terrible, never seen so much filth: dirty rooms, inefficinte staff, general appearance very neglected; Bad odor everywhere; The bathroom is free of hairdryer; Water from the bathroom ceiling; Door locks without keys; Free of air conditioning, forced to sleep with an open balcony! ; The staff is lacking in education. In short, a real disaster!

The room is not hospitable, the carpet will be about fifty years, the bathroom as many, the bidet is not usable as it does not have the mixer, the hygiene does not exist. In these conditions I will not return to Paris, it sucks me…
