Overall the experience was good, however one comment I would make is that only 2 nexpresso capsules are provided (one being decaf! ) and any additional need to be purchased. Most basic hotels will provide tea and coffee making facilities so I found this to be very poor. Small rooms but good location.

The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. However the hardware falls short of satisfaction. Air conditioning was not very cool, despite repairman came and fixed the air con. The TV which I don't know runs on what system. There seems to be a bottle neck some where. The first room I checked in, the TV will be switched off on its own, and then switched on on its own to channel 1, a French channel. The BBC, CNN, channel are not stable. Originally, I thought the room is haunted. Then I checked into other rooms, they all have same problem. I think this is a problem with your rooftop antenna. The reason I checked in other room was the bathtub did not drain fast enough. The bathtub is too high and is dangerous while trying to step out of it. In fact for tourists, shower is better and more convenient. I think much of the hardware needs upgrading. Like the small decorative chair in the lobby, it is worn and faded. It is giving the hotel poor image. One day there was an electricity black out at the lobby as well. For a sustaining development, some investment in the hardware is inevitable. In fact I am considering finding other hotel in the neighborhood.

If you're looking for the best hotel to stay at in Paris, Hotel Lumen is the one. It's location is very central, and walkable to most attractions and Parisian gems. The Hotel is extremely clean and beautiful. The staff is genuine and very helpful.

Staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location. Rooms were clean. The hotel gives you a cell phone with free international calling to use while you're there. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Paris.

Hotel Lumen staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. When Jean Claude And Sebastian found we had our wallet stolen they took us stepby step helping us thru the progess. YOun had excellent suggestions for restaurants. When husband wanted try local cigars, Yuon pointed us in right direction. Rooms were small but comfortable. We loved our stay and will be back.

Hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean. The location was perfect for exploring the city.

Rather noisy early in the morning (street side) and unfriendly.

Nice hotel but don't take anything from the mini bar …

If the kitchen proves to be of quality, an hour of waiting and more, to be served on the card is not admissible. Especially as the addition for 4 people, 4 dishes, 3 desserts, 2 bottles of standard wine, rises to €278… So I don't advise.

Absolute nightmare. Avoid unless you would like to risk your vacation. I've spent a week in 2 hotels in Paris for a week. The service and attitude of the staff of this boutique hotel are unacceptable. They fudged on every problems in the hotel without any action. Not to mention small room, under renovation, poor ventilation etc.

Highly recommended. Fantastic service from start to finish. The staff are friendly and no request seems too much for them. The location of the hotel is superb — so close to the Louvre and beautiful Jardin des Tuileries and walking distance to Notre Dame, Musee D'orsay, Pompidou centre and Galeries LaFayettes. The rooms are well-equipped and the decor is vibrant. We were given an upgrade on our room as we were on a celebratory trip. This was unexpected and a real delight. The staff wanted to make our trip special and they invest in their guests. On site there is a very reputable restaurant — we didn't use it this time as we already had made plans, but it menu looked great. I will be staying in Hotel Lumen for future trips to Paris. The location and the service make it easy to look nowhere else. 24/7 service. Thank you Hotel Lumen for such a memorable stay!

Beautiful hotel in a great location. It's just a few minutes walk from the Louvre. The staff are helpful and friendly and have speak English wonderfully. Our room was not ready when we arrived however we we're still able to check in and they held our bags for us. When we came back to collect the keys and bags they had already moved our bags into our room for us. Great hotel with great service.

Nice restaurant a little Italian a little Japanese a little rest of the world. On the other hand, not very generous, little plates! Cosmopolitan servers really very nice.

Le restaurant italien au rez-de-chaussée de l'hôtel est un bijou: cadre idéal, personnel adorable, plats divins et sélection de vins sans faute. Sans nul doute, l'un de mes restaurants préférés.

Very good food, original and very attentive staff. A very good time.

Suite Zen on level 6 is nice but only for a few days since very limited storage and closet is available.

The lumen C is also a great Italian restaurant with a nice kitchen made by a Japanese chef.

Large room, large bathroom, clean, great breakfast. Sounds nothing special but is in Paris. It is a lovely hotel to stay. Metro not far away, close to the Louvre as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. I especially liked to see that they offered fresh presssed orange juice and spanish jamon for breakfast and this is something where many hotel try to save money ofdering their guests low quality food but not here. This hotel will be my first choice for all next trips to Paris.

Wonderful staff. Excellent room and excellent location. From our balcony we could see the Louvre in the gardens. Hotel restaurant was closed for construction however the conciair gave us two excellent recommendations for dinner.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around… I adored this hotel! Great location for a first-timer in Paris. The room was modern and well-appointed, overlooking the St. Roche church. Easy access to the metro and walking distance to most must-sees. Plus they gave me a Parisian smart phone to use to get around town (en lieu of a paper map, which they also offer if you like. ) My only complaints are that the robe was a bit worn/scratchy — hope they'll replace those soon! — and since it's in a rather touristy area, the hip restaurants were a ways away.

Great location! Near a tour company.

We stayed in November, and would stay again if we (myself and my Grandma) travel to Paris again. Their location is awesome and price was reasonable for the area. The room were small if you choose the smallest one. I recommend the second to smallest if you have not experienced a small Paris room or it is your first trip. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They made the hotel great and my Grandma's first trip to Paris wonderful.

A nice boutique hotel with art decor style rooms that have very high ceilings, are well presented and are reasonably large for Paris. Bathrooms are nice with marble and granite. The staff are helpful and all speak English quite well. The foyer is very small but probably appropriate for the hotel size. Very close to the Louvre. Would recommend this hotel.

Noisy and most things broken I have had to stay here twice for business travel. First time was average second time was very bad. TVs do not work. Bad falling apart. Shower not working. Very loud thumping music from restaurant in hotel. Location is very nice but you may not be able to sleep. There are many smaller and nicer places. Hotel looks trendy but it is just the surface. Underneath is bad design and incompetence.

I love the location and the atmosphere of the hotel.

Perfect location, nice rooms, and (for Paris) affordable. They gave us a great room with an unusual layout overlooking the church just behind the hotel. The terrace of the restaurant (where breakfast is served) also has a great atmosphere — you are practically sitting on the steps of the church, surrounded by plants.

Very thoughtful staff. The rooms are very small, but clean and confortable. The coconut smell in the halls bothered my wife a little.
